Fabulous prints and video. You have inspired me to pull out my Gelli plate and play. I never thought about using black card-stock or acetate. Thanks for sharing!
Very good video! Excellent techniques and demonstration. I particularly like tat you showed us ALL of your results at the end. Now I am inspired to go use my gelli plate some more! Thanks!
Oh so love this video. I am addicted to my Gelli plate and you just gave me more ideas as to how to use it. Thank you so much for sharing your talent. Darlene
Amazing! I am so inspired to continue with my newly acquired gelli plate. I will be returning to this video for tips, color combinations and motivation. Well done!
Hi, just found this video, I love using my gelli plate, never thought of using acetate, just love the effect it gives, will give my shaker cards a whole new look. Also using the soft gel medium, will have to give that a go as well. TFS
Why thank you and I ignore that. Like is a craft video so awful it is that important for you to thumb it down? I appreciate your interest That's what matters.
The colors are so magnificent, especially the metallics. I would love to know brand and/or name of colors. Thanks you for sharing your creations with us.
Thank you! I use a lot of brands of paint, but mainly Americana and Folk Art craft paint, Liquitex Basics and Ranger paint dabbers. The metallic I used is by Usartquest.
Hi! I finally was able to buy a "real" Geli plate, but now I'm, uhm, too scared to try (blush)! LOL. I really would love to know the name of the blue, Robin's egg blue (?) color. I've tried and tried to make/mix this color and have come close, but … ? I LOVE the starburst (?) stencil! A couple you pulled, I swear, reminded me of a kaleidoscope - AWESOME!! I'm always a day late and a dollar short, this being 2015, so I really hope to read back from you :-) Thanks so much for the tutorial!! Oh, yeah! I've subscribed
love your created paper designs! Interesting use of acetate - what will you make from them? I have made atcs using acetate & alcohol inks - I think I will have to use the acetate with acrylic paint as you demonstrated for new atcs
wow! your video is great! Thank you for sharing! I am wondering what is the kind of paper that looks like tissue paper? Is this the deli paper? Where can I find it? Thanks again. Jo
You don't want the paper to be too waxy. The kind I get comes in a box of 500 for well under $10 and only has a thin layer of wax. Too much will resist your inks and paints and not take your mediums very well.
Thank you! Most of my stencil collection is by Crafter's Workshop. I have a few by Dylusions of Ranger Ink and buy random brands at Michaels. However in this video I used a bunch of new stencils I purchased online from Stencil Girl Stencils. TFW :-)
hi again...thanks for a quick response...here is another one...is the deli paper a little waxy or not at all? because the ones I found over here are all either waxy a lot or a tiny bit waxy... didn't know if I should buy or wait...
Yes that is the deli paper and you can get it from most grocery stores. I get mine from GFS (Gordon Food Service). It's really useful for mixed media work such as working on canvas, art journaling, decoupage, or any time you want your paper to be thin. Thanks for watching!
What is or where is that giant stencil with all the curves from? You used it about half way through with aqua and white on black card stock?? I love it!!
Hello Nikki, I saw that you put several times a few drops of white on your paint. Was that just white paint? Or something special to be able to print on the acetate? You really make wonderful printings! 👍😊
Golden and other paint manufacturers have paint extenders that will help thin the thicker paint creating more "open" time (makes paint easier to use without altering the paint formula or properties of adhesion). This is better than adding water to paint. Including an Amazon search to assist. www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Darts-crafts&field-keywords=paint+extenders+
I've watched a lot of Gelli Print videos recently, and your is one of (if not THE) best! Thanks for sharing.

Love your pages and love the stencils you used. What make were the stencils? Id like to get some. Thanks, tibs xxx
I would definitely use them for making greeting cards. I normally cut an 8 1/2 by 11 sheet into 4-4 1/4 by 5 1/2 pieces for card fronts.
some great results!
The colors are so magnificent, especially the metallics. I would love to know brand and/or name of colors. Thanks you for sharing your creations with us.
Just use Golden OPEN to get a slower drying time, or add a Golden OPEN acrylic gel to the paint
Actually, i would love to know where all of the stencils are from. Very cool. Thanks for sharing!
Actually most of my stencils are from Stencil Girl and The Crafter 's Workshop
Thank you! I use a lot of brands of paint, but mainly Americana and Folk Art craft paint, Liquitex Basics and Ranger paint dabbers. The metallic I used is by Usartquest.

Beautiful
Thank you! I appreciate your compliment.
Inspiring work.
Really nice. What will you use the prints on baking paper for?
Also what will you do with the prints on clear acetate?
Hi! I use the baking paper (deli paper) prints for mixed-media collage and the clear acetate for greeting cards.
You don't want the paper to be too waxy. The kind I get comes in a box of 500 for well under $10 and only has a thin layer of wax. Too much will resist your inks and paints and not take your mediums very well.
Thanks for sharing, have only just got my Gelli plate, so very helpful. could I ask where you get your great stencils ?
Thank you! Most of my stencil collection is by Crafter's Workshop. I have a few by Dylusions of Ranger Ink and buy random brands at Michaels. However in this video I used a bunch of new stencils I purchased online from Stencil Girl Stencils. TFW :-)

That mosaic pattern is awesome! What stencil is that?
What is or where is that giant stencil with all the curves from? You used it about half way through with aqua and white on black card stock?? I love it!!
'WONDERFUL
Hello Nikki,
I saw that you put several times a few drops of white on your paint.
Was that just white paint? Or something special to be able to print on the acetate?
You really make wonderful printings!
👍😊
It's white paint or acrylic glaze medium ;-)
would you mind sharing the stencils and paints you used. they're awesome. thx.
Stencil girl, ranger or crafters workshop.
Various acrylic paints-mostly Basics by Liquitex as well as paints by Ranger.
Cool! Did you make that stencil (the first one?). If not, where is it from?
would putting retarder in your black golden paint help you get a better print towards the end?
Most of the stencils I used are by Crafter's Workshop and yes you can et them in England! TFW
Thank you for your reponse. I reviewed again your video. 😊👍👍
Maud.
Absolutely!
Hi Nikki. I love the pieces you printed on acetate. What do you use these acetate prints for?
I'm wondering what you use the acetate pieces for too
+Careen Stephenson I use the acetate prints to make greeting cards.
+Michele Guthrie I use the acetate prints to make greeting cards.
One more question: What do we do with our beautiful acetate "prints"? I have no idea how to use them. Please help.
Jean Bowden a
Yes it does! :-)
What paints did you use?
Xx
Tfs
Karin
Does acrylic paint dries on acetate?
I believe that is a Crafter's Workshop stencil. I purchase mine online.
Does the paint stay on the acetate?
Ooooo, what is the name of the stencil you have used at 4:50? Thank you for sharing these ideas ♥
I cannot remember but it is a Stencil Girl brand stencil
Hi, is the surface where you put the paint and spread a glass panel?
No, it is called a Gelli Plate by Gelli Arts, a surface similar to gelatin but durable. You can purchase this online.
can you use it on fabric
Hi! Wondering where your stencils are from?
Most of them are from either crafters workshop, ranger, or stencil girl.
What will you do with these beauties?
I make greeting cards with my prints or use them in mixed media projects such as art journaling.
Does it have to be black cardstock??
No, you may use whatever color cardstock you like :-)
Tx...love this idea
No your choice
