It's not worth it. The food is very small portion at all the restaurants, and you have to get room service after 1030pm when the sports bar closes up at 1am. To say the resort was open in 2018 and closed for 2yrs bc of the pandemic they really need to do some upgrades on the furniture/bathrooms in the restaurants. The room had a smell and I was in building 6 with partial ocean view. Not worth the money at all I paid extra to be a club member which was an extra $500 and my husband and I wasn't allowed to go too 2 restaurants bc he didn't have a button up shirt. Which they offered to give him one, but who in the hell wearing their clothes and it's not my husband style. With the club member they pick up with a suburban truck but your departure time they drop you off with a small carolina vehicle 😮 and I wasn't expecting that bc on the website they display black suburban trucks. Far as the drinks very water down and I had better drinks at Royalton/Eden Bay resort in Jamaica...The property is huge, but the resort is not that big at all. Lastly want to address they wanted to charge 335 per person to go on a excursion to the dunn river falls and thank God i save my connects from my last trip to Jamaica and he took us there for only $170 and the park cost us $25 to enter the park.. To say the least they tried to profit $450 from us...😂😂😂 not today or every. I will rate Excellence resort a 4. Save your money and go somewhere else

Though this hotel is expensive. It’s really worth the money as we had a really good time. Definitely the best hotel we’ve been to.
We’ve experienced worse at grand Bahia and La Quinta 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏾♀️ so this wasn’t that bad.

Working in hospitality, They should have never promised you a free night because The incident but your experience was annoying but not worth a reason a resort would give you a free night.
I know right. I would’ve preferred if they told us to get over it rather than lead us on for nothing 🤦🏽♂️
However, we did end up checking out at like 5, and had dinner there, so I guess we got an extra day 🤷🏽♂️ just a long drive back. Still the best hotel we’ve been to, it was amazing 🙏🏽

You should share the blunder. So your fans KNOW. I have experienced different level of service vs white visitors.
Lol you’re so right. But emotions were a bit high at the time so we tried to keep it more about the review. We were told that we would be able to get an extra night, not sure why we believed the butler 😂 but that’s what happened and he had us waiting all night, we didn’t do much on our last night either because we thought we would get another 🤷🏽♂️

It’s the same place, they are beside each other and I’m pretty sure when we stayed at the zilara we had to go to the ziva to have dinner at some restaurants

So everything is great except they wouldn't give you a FREE NIGHT because you couldn't get snorkels?!?!? For real?!? Your review was great until that point.
Lol, you have to understand that what’s on camera is only a fraction of what happens in real life. We spent the whole evening with this guy. Even Missed dinner because we were dealing with him all because he promised us something that we didn’t even ask for. We just should’ve have trusted him. Had he not done that, we would’ve just moved on because we were definitely going back to the hotel and we have been back since then and had a great time. It’s definitely the best hotel in Jamaica rn

Hey Shinita, both are great resorts but I would choose excellence because it is more luxurious but jewel grande is a better value for your money
I’m sorry but unnu picky no rass especially the female, if its too expensive and bougie for you then it’s not for you and y’all mad at staff bcuz they wouldn’t rent scuba gear for 15 min. Maybe they following rules and regulations. Then the staff is not authentic Jamaican cuz they don’t act like other hotel staff and the atmosphere doesn’t feel like it’s Jamaica, wow incredible. It’s supposed to be upscale and hence inherently different from other hotels/resorts.
No need to apologize Kirky! Thanks for your comment. Hopefully you get to try out the hotel for yourself 😊 we had a good time but that doesn’t mean it was perfect! We gave them a high rating and will also be going back soon. We waited over a year to go there and their main slogan was that we can do anything we want …literally. So if I want to rent scuba gear for 15 mins I should be able to do. If they have so much freedom to the point where masks aren’t necessary what’s the big deals as to y I couldn’t get the suba gear. We were upset that we waisted our last at the fault of an employee…regardless our next stay at the hotel is already In place

There's nothing "Slanderous" about speaking the Truth. When you go to these hotels, you have to be honest about all aspects of your experience. Otherwise, your reviews and recommendations lose credibility. It sounds like you suffered discrimination. Then the GM lied and did not give you the extra night that was promised. That's what I understood...
Well, at least you kept your room until 5pm and ate dinner for free at the Lobster House.
Thank you Kamy, you understand the situation well. Had he not promised us that night we would’ve gotten over it, but he promised us, and kept us waiting. At the end of the day, it’s our experience and it wouldn’t be fair to omit that occurrence from the video when we’ve always told the truth about our experiences at other hotels. It’s a great hotel, probably the best, but anything can happen to anyone, at any hotel 🤷🏽♂️ but the great thing is we had the lobster as you rightfully pointed out 😂

There’s no club but it’s an all adult hotel. They have parties at night though.

No problem Shereen! The protocols or lack there of lol definitely improved our stay. It really felt like a get away because we didn’t have to wear masks on the resort. It was just one less thing to worry about. It was a great vacation!

It’s definitely a luxury hotel with good food and a nice beach but I wouldn’t say it’s the best value for money. In my opinion azul has the best beach and pretty good food and is half the cost of this hotel. From the Montego Bay Airport the hotel is a little over and hour away but is over 2hrs from the Kingston airport

Hey, so sorry, we don’t offer day passes that’s why we tend not to touch on them in the videos but if we do happen to take one or get information, we will share for sure.
The thing is, some of these hotels, when we’re in Jamaica may take 2-3 hours to drive to, and after the drive, food and drinks, I can’t promise that I’m going to drive hours back to my house 😅

My favorite is actually the Hyatt I really think you get the best value for your money. EOB is great too but you can have just as good of a time at the Hyatt. Send me a dm on ig if you need anymore advice

?? Not sure what you’re talking about. That’s the best hotel we’ve been to and we always tell people that. Best spa, best room, best service, best hotel. It was a bummer because the guy led us on yes… but we never lied about anything. It’s an exceptional hotel, we’ll be going back soon actually.
