From what I’ve heard from multiple people…Riu is the party resort. That’s where you go when you want to turn up. I’m staying at Excellence next month but it’s to relax so I’m definitely looking forward to it after this video!

@@ilovemeee21 it’s a GREAT resort for couples. It’s perfect actually. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway. But if you are looking for a club vibe, you won’t find it here. The closest you will get to it is the silent party night (with the headphones playing different songs) and a karaoke night. But it is a vibe as far as a baecation. It’s a beautiful, luxury resort. Get the beachfront rooms if you can.

Very nice review. My wife and I were trying to decide between this resort and Excellence El Carmen. We visited El Carmen when it first opened in 2016 and liked it a lot. My biggest concern with Oyster Bay was that it was a little to lowkey. We aren't big partiers by any stretch of the imagination, but do like to pound down some shots with a fun group here and there. A little afraid we could get bored after couple days of relaxation. Was glad to see though you rated the resort highly other than the parting aspect.
Thank you. Though you aren’t big partiers, you might get bored after a few days if it’s a long vacation. But as I said, Jamaica has many things to offer off the resort so you’ll still have lots of fun!

Excellence is a great resort for a honeymoon. I believe all rooms have the jacuzzi.
So smoking is allowed on the balconies and property? I noticed you mentioned a smoke room. Did they tell you that was the purpose? I’m mostly talking about ganja
Tbh I’m not sure about their smoking policies cause I’m not a smoker.

Yes, I think one of the workers told us we weren’t allowed to play our own music
How's the diversity there? Trying to decide between here and riu but don't want to be one of few black people
As a black woman and a local, I felt pretty comfortable re diversity. Riu will definitely be more diverse BUT I wouldn’t recommend Riu because it’s very mediocre.

Yes, definitely
No entertainment, like club?
They had a sports bar that had a club vibe at nights. I think that was the closest to a club scene you could get there. There was entertainment but if you're looking for a party, nightlife scene, I wouldn't suggest here.

I would have liked to see more of the restaurants, especially breakfast. You just showed us the omelet station, then your plate of food...how about a walk around the restaurant to see how many offerings they had? If this a personal vlog to show us what you did? Or is this supposed to show us what the resort has to offer? Because you really didn't show us the resort very much.
I paid my money and went to the resort for vacation and decided to share MY experience as best as I could. Excellence or you did not pay me to show off their resort so yes this is a very personal vlog ! 🤍
