I may be wrong, but as a writer, and knowing it is horrible, we do have our favorite characters, and by the excitement I feel on Bast's voice... I feel like he got some special place on everyone's hearts, including Hollow's. And it makes a lot of sense honestly. Characters that show growth and deep personalities more than just stereotypical versions of them (bad boys, or rich boys, or even creatures such as vampires or werewolves) gets us attached, and just... I'm attached to Bast, and I am really glad he still shows up for us!!!

I think it may have been sort of like a snake where his fangs come in and out when there’s prey to kill. Snake fangs fold up and down so that they can close their mouths when they’re just vibing and it folds out when they need to use the fangs. I think the sound may have been like, a predator instinct with his teeth and stuff coming out, preparing to kill his prey. Just a personal headcanon though.
Yeah, that sound was his fangs suddenly sliding out as his blood lust took over for a moment, he made the same sort of gasping sounds as he does after Niles punches him to deter him from biting you. xD The teeth noises are new though!

But honestly, its awesome! Second of all, Bast’s voice activates my fight or flight response, both in good and bad ways ahaha. Its amazing to me how in KOD, his voice was very soothing to me as he talked about his blood lust and being careful around the castle and nerding out about necromancy, but now he’s the embodiment of being sexy AND scary at the same time, like who gave him the right. But its really cool how you can still see his past self within him - like before he said “look at me, showing you my tome without asking you to dinner first” or smthg and now he said “i have one dance with you and now I’m offering to enchant your dagger”. Is that how one shows affection in this universe lmaooo or is it just Bast being Bast Also along with that, that he still craves hooman juice sometimes after all, although it seems to be a sign that he likes someone I guess? xD Or feels comfortable around someone?? But yeah, he’s just, really compelling, I cling onto his every word and even though the titles of these are v simple, the story being crafted here is anything but!!! A vampire who eats other monsters instead of humans like /chefs kiss.
