  • Using the Black Widow motorcycle carrier to transport my heavy ebike. It has the higher carrying capacity (400 pounds) vs the tradition hollywood bike carrier.

I like it but no upright post makes you more dependent on straps

I’ve had that problem with this rack particularly with a taller bike. I may hire a guy to weld a post on.

Hey, anything that makes the job easier is worth it. I got some left over aluminum ramps from my quadride days. Plus some extra hitches. From buying things I don't need days. A little bit a hardware, and I'll have me one of those ramps!

Agree...making it work and finding alternatives is fun to me. What ever it takes to get out and ride. I think I showed my HF aluminum ramp in the background and I use that the most and just throw the bikes in the truck. But not everyone is as fortunate as me and have that option. Again, these are just alternatives. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.

Ty. I have the Hollywood Sport rider SE. It is rated for max 80lbs per bike. I haul both my Lectric's or 1 Lectric and my Rad Rover. No problems. Also with you rack you can only carry 1 bike. The only downside is it was 499, and they're always out of stock, so that tells me they're well ordered.

No agruments that the Hollywood rack is a great product but I was having a hard time procuring one. The motorcycle carriers is just an alternative. There is a 2 bike versions, but I didn't try that version because I thought it would be too much work and it sticks out quite a bit.

I have a different motorcycle ramp for my Lectric to haul on the back of my motorhome. Like yours, the openings for the tires are not that great. Like yours my back tire is sitting higher. Had to do it that way to protect the gears.

I’m trying the Harbor Freight, aluminum rack that is similar to that one. It sells for $170 .

I have seen some posts of people using it and it works as well.

Be careful with the way you are you are cinching the front of the bike down. People have had that folding stem snap on them while riding and you are pulling on it constantly with your setup. They are tin walled aluminum tubing tubing and they snap just above the weld all of the time. You would be better off at the bottom of the tube where leverage isn't going to cause damage. Straps are cheap so what I have done a few times is cut them to the length I need then burn the ends so they do not fray or unravel. i know that they will be for one job only after that but it does tidy things up a lot and lie I said they are cheap enough to do this.

Always remove the battery when in transport. Nothing good will ever happen with the battery in the bike. The plastic battery connectors can and will fracture with the battery bouncing and moving inside the frame.

Hi Ty ! Is Xp 2.0 great value for its price. Got my jupiter defiant but its too big for my wife. So I am looking at your videos. Is Xp good for 5.4-5.5 ft rider? Thanks.

My wife is 5.4 and she likes to have both her feet on the ground when the bike is stopped (she is not a good biker). The X5 is a lot lighter and smaller but because it is a full suspension bike, the seat does not go all the way down. The XP is actually lower than the X5. There are a lot of other factors to consider. XP is a bigger, faster bike good value but X5 has a better warranty (if you buy it at costco.com). If you ever are not satisified or something goes wrong with it, you can always take it to costco and return it.

Thanks, it's a lot more convenient when you can roll it up. PS, they make a 2 bike version. Happy riding!

The ramp needs to be flipped over and you put the wing nuts on top
