Who orders the life care plan? The attorney or my doctor? I'm under the care of a neurologist for a brain injury confirmed TBI with positive findings on my DTI MRI. I'm 4 months post TBI, but I'm wondering if I need a life care plan. Can I do a life care plan if my tbi completely heals? Are life care plans only for permanent injuries?

Your attorney will order the LCP. If you have no ongoing cognitive or orthopedic impairments, there is not a need for a LCP.

You are physical therapist and not a medical doctor so your scope of practice is also very limited.

Hi Trung, yes, thankfully I’m not a medical doctor. When you visit your Primary Care doctor for your annual physical, how much time do you spend with your actual doctor? Most people see a PA or NP for all or the majority of the visit and may only spend a few minutes with their actual medical doctor. I, on the other hand, spend at least 45 minutes, 2-3 times per week with each of my patients. Which medical expert do you think is in a better position to really know what’s going on with the patient?
