Mandela speaks after gaining freedom

Following his release from a 27-year prison sentence, Nelson Mandela addressed a large crowd of his supporters at a rally in Cape Town, Feb. 11, 1990.

I am glad that this year, on Monday the 2nd October, I was in Cape Town and stood exactly where Mandela stood some 33 years ago. Long live the spirit of Nelson Mandela
