28:00 *this man about to have cousin, brothers!* lawd 😅😆🤣😆😅😂🤣
Ned should never have told Cersei what he knew. That was his mistake. That’s what the Eunuch meant.
Also letting her know he was planning on telling Robert when he came back and giving her time to flee.
Remember Robert already left for his hunting trip before Ned told Cersei
@@VonJayLilttlefinger knew Ned was looking into Robert's bastards. And getting close to the truth. Cersei wouldn't risk that. All Ned did, was just confirming to her that her decision was correct. But Robert was already doomed.
I found it Neds dumbest move ever. I get honor and all of that but how about not being naive
@@Catherine.Dorian. It was. That absolutely nailed his fate. I think Renly's suggestion was the best.
Hate him if you want, but Varys was 100% correct; Once Ned Stark confronted Cersei, Robert was a dead man. She was not going to flee and she knew it was her or Robert. Remember what she told Ned, when you play the Game of Thrones you either win or you die. Also, once Ned knew Robert was dying, he should have taken immediate steps to neutralize Cersei. Renly had the best idea, seize Joffrey and arrest Cersei. Given that the Lannister's are the richest house, relying on Little Finger after he said the Gold Cloaks would follow the man who pays them was incredibly stupid.
You didn't know how good the sword teacher was until now because they don't describe it as effectively as the book. His people (the Bravosi) are renowned swordsmen and particularly as duelist, and he was called the "1st sword of Bravos" because he was the best of them. The hand of the king doesn't get just any instructor for his daughter...
It's kind of a surprise in the book as well. I certainly wouldn't say that the book talked up Syrio prior to this point in the story. I mean, book-Syrio even says he wasn't chosen as First Sword for his swordsmanship. When book-Arya sees him fight the Lannister guards, she's shocked to realize just how much he's been taking it easy on her during their lessons.
@suedonym8467 interesting. I haven't read ot in a while, but I remember assuming him to be exceptional from the get go. Maybe I just put more stock in that "first sword of bravos" title than people typically do.
@@eudite1762 Same
Also the First Sword isnt just the best, he also serves as the head of security for the Sealord of Braavos, and Syrio notes that he was chosen for his keen eyes, which with later context implies an ability to see through the disguises of Faceless Men.
I refuse to believe that. lol I always see him as being the “other” guy in Bravos. 😉
Sansa is 13 and has been raised to be a princess and an obedient wife. She’s going through puberty, leaving her home and mom behind, a bitchy boyfriend, a murdered dog, a sister who hates her and teases her, and now her dad’s in jail. I get she’s whiny, but honestly shes as brave as she can be as a baby girl in a nest of vipers.
Truth. She is a child and still immature in a very dangerous, difficult position.
An being an insufferable asshole doesn't make it any better.. she was a nasty ass when she was in winter fell..
sus
Yeah… never understood the Sansa hate but then again, people tend to dislike powerless characters
Yes, an incredibly sheltered little girl who grew up in the one area where being honorable means something. Where your word is your bond. She truly thinks that adults tell the truth. What does this child know of duplicity or scheming? What is she going to be able to do?
"Explain that" - 'it was your mercy that killed the king' - Varys means that Ned spared the Queen when he had a chance to take her down. She had to make a move once she knew that Ned knew because he would ruin everything, so she had the king do himself in with wine and conspired with Little Finger to trap Ned; all because Ned is too honorable to just do what he needed to do right away.
Khal Drogo yanks the trachea from the neck:
“This guy is different…”
LOL!❤
Can’t wait for you to finish this season, lmao the show has no chill whatsoever 😂😂
Y’all folks grinding, I respect it.
Fun fact, dunno if it's been noticed yet but the actress who plays the prisoner woman who tried to kill Bran at Winterfell is also the actress who played Nymphadora Tonks in the Harry Potter Movies. Keep up the good content team :)
5:50 i think Varys here is referring to Ned choosing to warn Cersei he knew and would tell Robert asap. So Cersei hurried it up and killed him, arranging to make sure Joffrey was king and no one questioned it. If Ned had managed to hide it, and hadn't warned Cersei trying to be merciful to her and her children, things might have gone differently. Not saying I agree, but I think that's his thought process. Cersei was probably still gonna kill Robert at some point but Ned might've gotten more of a chance to tell Robert about it and they both might've been able to make a good plan and deal with it. Tywin would've probably brought his whole ass army to king's landing and the kingdom is dead broke and in huge debt. So, bad start to a war.
All of the stark children are connected to their wolfs. GreyWind, who is Robb's wolf, sensed Robb's anger and took the initiative to deal with the threat
Just so you know - Barriston Selmy was THAT DUDE! Probably top 2-3 ever in his prime. In his 60’d and he was NOT joking when he said he would cut all 5 of them down
And he would have, that’s why the Hound was all the way in the back and had his hand on his sword to be ready when Barriston Selmy got to Joffrey
Yea they were all SHOOK in that room when he pulled out his sword. Those other kingsguard knew he was right saying that
The crying trees are called weirwood trees and are super spiritual and connected with the “old gods“ everybody worships the ”seven“ the new gods except the Starks and some others but not many. The three eyed crow has alot to do with the weirwood trees !!
Once Ned told Cersi he knew her kids were (b word ) and children of her brother he had to kill or imprison her immediately . The mercy he showed her telling her to run she just went and put her plots in motion , killing the king and assuring he son took the throne which is why varys told Ned it was his mercy that killed the king for if he had not shown mercy cersi would be imprison and the king would still be alive
I’m from Sydney and these are coming out during my work break so I spend my whole break watching these 😅
Love that! Watching from Melbourne haha
We know who about to move to #1 on that list next episode 😂
I legit wait for these uploads with BAITED breath 👏🏾👏🏾
Saaaammmmeeee. I hope they continue the other seasons
That's his Duncle, Daddy/Uncle. 😂
BRUH STOPPPPP 😂😂😂😂😂
Giving this a like and a comment now in case I can’t stay up that late. I saw it over on their Patreon and it was a great reaction.
10:33 the Dothraki are on a different continent (Essos). Everyone besides Dany and the Dothraki so far in this story are in Westeros.
Did i already tell y'all that Maisie Williams (Arya) is right handed in real life, but she wanted to be true to the Arya in the books (i havent read them), so she trained to use her left hand for sword fighting. Pretty amazing for a lil girl of that age.
Btw when Serio says to Arya “what do we say to the God of Death?” & her lil worried voice says “not today” (before she runs off). That is my notification sound on my phone. My grown kids (as always) think I’m nuts. Rightfully so😂
you guys have no idea how much fun i have watching these.
I don't remember how much is mentioned in the show but basically there was different waves of invasion into Westeros, the continent with the Wall up north and the capital in the south. The first invasion (coming from the other continent, the one where Daenerys is) was called the First Men and they were the ancestors of the Starks and some other families. They had dark hair if I remember right. Before them Westeros was inhabited by the Children of the Forest, a non human species looking partly like small people, who arguably had magical powers and were very close to nature (based on fairies/fae folk/little people folklore).
The tree worship is the old religion of Children and was later adopted by the First Men. At the time of season 1 it's only practiced in the north. The face carved in the tree symbolizes the deity watching through the tree. Hence why there is a tradition of taking oaths in front of such trees.
The 2nd wave of invasion brought people with blond hair, the Andals, ancestors to the Lannisters and others. They mostly settled in the south and they brought the new religion which consists in worshipping 7 gods and goddesses and which has an organized church of priests and nuns.
In that sense George Martin (author of the books) was clearly inspired by how society moved from prehistoric nature worship & shamanism to ancient polytheism, to then monotheism (the new religion worshipping the "one true god, the god of light, represented by Melisandre).
Wow! You really did 2! I was preparing myself for tomorrows reaction knowing what we all know but you went and ripped the band aid OFF!!!!! ❤ you’re a treat every day lads and I’m loving you for it ❤ forehead kisses each xxx
That is a great pause timing with Jason Momoa holding the tongue😂😂
You have to understand that northeners are not like the civilized sissies in King's Landing, they are closer to the first men so more toughened and unlike southerners who keep fight among themselves at times and rest of times they just go tournaments, northeners have to deal all the time with raids by wildlings who scale the wall on places nobody guards now that night's watch is shorthanded
i really appreciate y'all for taking the time to upload this great content daily, love watching you guys !
Have y’all watched kill bill? If not, please check it out, I would love to see that reaction
Just recorded a reaction to that the other week! I’ll be working on that UA-cam edit soon 👌🏾

You're confused about why all of the men with Robb started laughing in the scene where the wolf bit the fingers off that one guy... because you missed the joke.
-Guy threatens Robb
-Robb says it's a death sentence to bare steel to your lord (Robb)
-Robb gives him an out, sarcastically saying he took out his steel (sword) with the intention to cut Robbs meat for him.
-Guy laughing says the Robs meat is bloody tough.
So, they laugh with the guy because he make a joke saying the Robbs meat at the table was so tough - that cutting it for him made him lose his two fingers.
I love how fast you are getting these out! Need to continue this serious. Love from the UK
Really appreciate these daily uploads
When Varys says “your mercy killed the king” he means the warning Ned gave to Cersei about leaving Kings Landing before Robert returns and he tells them about Jamie, that was the mistake.
I hope one day you guys react to society of the snow! It is an amazing movie depicting a real event that happened to a few people
Adison and Carianna did watch this actually! I’m sure it will make its way to youtube eventually :)
With Greatjon Umber, he was mad because he wanted to lead the vanguard and basically threatened Rob by getting up threateningly and grabbing for his sword, that's why Rob said it was punishable by death to draw steel against your lord, 'but no doubt the greatjon umber only meant to cut my meat for me', basically giving him a out of the situation, tension got high, you got threatening with the wrong person, you lost your fingers, don't lose your life. 'your meat is bloody tough' as in he lost two fingers trying to cut Robs meat for him, diffusing the situation with humor.
Cersei had Robert killed because Ned told her that he was going to tell Robert about her infidelity and that the children were Jaime's (I am pretty sure Robert would have had all of them killed even if Jaime was no relation to Cersei, but that is an added insult to him). Ned told her so that she could go on the run. Cersei wasn't going to go on the run with three kids when there was something else she could do. That is how Ned's mercy killed the King.
ser barristan was given the title barristan the bold by the targaryen prince at the time prince duncan targaryen for his courage because when he was 10 years old when he snuck in and took part in a tourney. he ended up serving multiple generations of kings so he's a legendary figure in their world/society (king jaeherys ii, aerys ii (mad king) and aerys' cousin's son robert baratheon)
One thing you guys might have missed is that after Tyrions offer to the savage Stonecrows, the leader hears a crow in the background and takes it as a sign he can trust Tyrion
"I think you read a lot" lol perf
LOL that "Here's Johnny!" edit got me. Well played
I think when Varys told Ned that his 'mercy' killed Robert, he was referring to Ned telling Cersei to take her children and run & hide so Robert doesn't kill them. (Because Ned's intending to tell Robert the kids are Jaime's) so his mercy was towards Cersei & the kids. Then Lancel Lannister the King's cup bearer made sure he never wanted for wine. Just my thoughts.
Calling the banners means going to war (calling all banner men to raise their armies )
Aussie here, I love watching the way you guys talk, I've picked up most of the lingo from other reactors, but some is pure context lol thanks for your awesome reactions.
the get GOT list having the Lannisters as top 3 smells just right.
It's so exciting to watch GOT on this channel
"Mount the world" reminds me of Mr. Garrison in South Park when he was going on about "f-ing them to death."
When Varys says Ned's mercy killed the king he means that Ned went to Cersei when he found out the truth about her and Jaime to give Cersei and her kids a chance to escape. He figured King Robert would kill them.
10:32 the Dothraki and Danerys are on the other side of the world/hemisphere. They would have to travel across the seas to get Westeros where everyone else is.
Sometimes I can't tell when Brandon is serious and joking. First to be ready to Up the Pole (when deserved, of course) and also first to look on the bright side. Maybe it's the first layer?-after Needle strikes. Edited to capitalize Needle. 😂
I am big Sansa defender and I feel she gets judged unfairly because she gets compared to Arya. Sansa was wrong for siding with Joffrey during the direwolf incident (even though I believe she did her best in trying to to stay true to her family without betraying the royals). But she was raised a rich noble girl and unlike Arya she wanted to marry a lord or prince and be lady of a great house and be a mother and do all the things typical of a woman of her station in their society. Whereas Arya is outright defiant because she wants none of that, judging Sansa for wanting those things and making decisions (that she has been trained her whole life to believe) is unfair to me. She’s also extremely young and naive she has no idea about all the ugliness and intricacies of life let alone the royal court. I want to defend her on every video so just imagine I’ve commented this a thousand times
It’s a natural reaction at this point in the show to dislike her. It’s not a permanent value judgement and Sansa is old enough to know when she’s being rude. We have two stark girls we are getting to know, who grew up in the same environment, received the same education yet one seems to be rude to their elders and passive while the other seems to be respectful but more assertive. It’s unfair to expect people will not make that comparison and have a favorite at this stage in the show.
Am I the only one who loved Varys in the early seasons. He’s so misunderstood.
quick fyi there are a spoilers for future seasons of House of the Dragon in Game of thrones. I think the first one is in season 3 not sure about the other ones
There are other HotD spoilers in season 5. Episode 9 maybe.
They've already watched HOTD.
@@whyamievendoingthis... sorry should have been more specific it spoils future seasons of House of the Dragon
24:45 literally spit out my coffee 🤣🤣🤣
The trees with the faces are from a religion based on the "Old Gods" they reference in the show sometimes. That's why it's called the Godswood. It was a popular religion in the North that started to die out a bit when the Targaryens took over the throne but some characters still follow it like the Starks.
Hodor reminds me of my severely autistic son. His mind is innocent and it's only through time that he learned he can't just run through the house naked lol. He still prob doesn't understand why, he just learned that it's not acceptable. Hordor has that same innocence of mind. Though it does seem Hodor has bit better understanding of some things then my son by the way he responds when spoken to.
The north people are just built different
The Dothraki are in Essos. Across the narrow sea on another continent where Daenarys is. The whole story and all the characters, currently, are in Westeros (Western continent) EXCEPT for Daenarys and her people who are in Essos. (Eastern continent)
Look at god!!! I woke up to 2 episodes!! Thank ya! (Praise break music starts)
ohhh you just wait that praise break is coming!!!! lol (you'll know what I mean when you see it)

It’s tiiiiiiiiiiiime! So exciting! ❤️
"Diddy vibes" took me tf out 😂
Just imagine a comp of the evolution of the get got list when they done😂😂
Why is Khal Drogo on the get got listtttt😭😭😭
23:44, this guy just died days ago. RIP
he meant it like you understood his son is gonna f the world
I find you quite unfair with Sansa, she is a child who is manipulated by adults. Unlike Arya, Sansa is in total ignorance and she learns that her father is accused of treason, imagining the incomprehension but also the pressure and fear that she must endure. I can't understand how we can blame the person being manipulated and not those who manipulate.
Yeah but you have the power of foresight from their point of view She cares more about power and status
Realistically, Arya would never have believed that her father committed treason regardless of who told her so.
Sansa is hardly likeable at this stage for her treatment of the Septa and her behavior at the questioning of the wolf bite alone.
@@realSimoneCherie It's not a question of loving Sansa or not, but of being fair and having judgment. First people need to stop trying to compare Arya and Sansa. And even Jon briefly doubted in the book about Ned and at present Sansa has been manipulated so it's stupid to blame a child for her naivety, children are easily influenced and manipulated it's a fact so blame Sansa for that is ridiculous. Arya, despite everything, knew that she was in a dangerous place and that someone was plotting against her father, so she was not in total ignorance.
@@SharpYT97 lol as a majority of the characters in the show. This is from the perspective of high lords/ladies and literal royalty....
varys is actually a pretty sollid dude.. not honorable like the starks but he does actually serve the realm.
“At least there not world war z zombies” you ain’t seen them group yet 😭
nobody ever remember Rickon 🤣🤣
'i he is smart he would kill him' lit no hahha
You guys' faces during Drogo's fight lol 😂😂😂 But I don't get why he's on the hate list 😭 Considering his very violent culture and upbringing he behaves very nicely with Daenerys. There's a real potential for progress.
25:30 😂😂😂😂😂
The great Japanese swordsman, Miyamoto Musashi, is said to have killed many men with a wooden sword.
I can't wait until the fighting gets real and the Whitewalkers show up lol
These are 🔥
i would die to see your rick and morty reactions
Varys (the Eunuch) was telling Ned that his mercy toward Cersei and her children is what killed the king, because he does not believe the king's death was an accident. He believes it was planned... remains to be seen if he's right or not.
I do think y'all are being a little hard on Sansa. She's about 13 years old at this point. Surrounded by enemies. Scared to death, trying her best to speak up for her dad the best she can. She's being manipulated and intimidated. She's basically a prisoner. She's not as tough as Arya at this point, but I don't think she can be blamed for being a scared little girl.
Hey, just wanted to say I'm not a native english speaker and I love the way you say "shawty" (am I understanding right that it comes from "shorty"?). You're from the US right? From the south? Not that good at identifying regional accents yet (although the differences are very clear to me, I don't know where each might be from). I do follow a shit ton of black american creators on youtube though so I'm familiar af with AAVE by now (at least for a random latinamerican spanish speaker)
Can i have the guy with braids?😍😍😍
HBO importance is hilarious 😂 😂
Catching up
The Dothraki are across the Narrow Sea, very far from where Tyrion and Bronn are.
These have been great to watch your reactions. This is a great show, fast forward the foolishness.
21:23 No spoilers
Guy on the left has definitely seen the show before. Just say you've seen it before, bro, it's fine
I haven't! This is my 1st time.
-Adison
you should watch history and lore
there is one after each season
🔥🔥🔥
"They ain't World War Z zombies." Just wait.
🔥
Ser Baristan.. The old Knight they dressed down.. would've killed all 5 of the other knights. He's one of the best sword fighters in HISTORY. Better then Jaime. Even as an old man could probably take Jaime. Ned wasn't kidding when he said a widows life wouldnt have suited his wife. Old boy would wreck Ned in a sword fight. The author is quoted as saying only 1 other knight in history could have beaten him.. and even then it would be a toss up. Ser Arthur Dayne. The sword of the morning. You find more out about him later in the series.
dothraki live across the sea in another continent
👏👏😂
Tyrion didnt try to kill Bran 19:00. only Jamie and Cersei sorry selves did. ugh, hate them but her especially!
you guys should probably know that the dothraki and daenerys are on another continent, so they are one sea apart from eveyone else!
