25:55... yeah no. Considering how many examples of men acting out of rage and/or horniness we have in this show, and not to mention in real life (there are many scientific studies on how men are more likely to kill their partners in a fit, more prone to road rage...), you might want to re-evaluate your view about how "women are more emotional than men and therefor less suitable for leadership." That view simply does not hold up in reality. If anything, there's statistical evidence showing how having women at the negotiation table (corporate, politics, wars) helps to de-escalate
This. TY, I had to come looking for this comment because, wow! I couldn't believe someone in 2024 is that ignorant. People are individuals with traumas, triggers, and mental illness complications all their own, it's not about gender.
Just because women are socialized to embrace certain feelings men are conditioned to pretend don't exist doesn't mean that men don't feel them or that they aren't subject to acting on them. Men who can't handle their feelings kill women.
Ridiculous, do better.
The studies all show that men manifest aggression physically, while women manifest it in causing emotional damage and reputation assassination. The way men and women express aggression is very different, but studies do not show that men are more have more aggressive tendencies. Women are also more inclined to internalize stress rather than release it, which studies indicate is why they experience higher rates of mental illness later in life. You chose to focus exclusively on the male physical manifestation of aggression in your post, while completely ignoring the female expressions that are also extremely destructive. Whoever told you that, or whatever study you supposedly read is only telling you exactly half of the story.
@@Microverse1You’re making up excuses as to why you don’t want women in leadership positions when in reality you think they should just stay home and have children. Women have always been in leadership positions since the dawn of time throughout human history. The world didn’t end ever because of that, grow up man child 😒
@@Microverse1testosterone causes more aggressivity. It's the same in all species lol not just humans. While esteogens cause more sensitivity. This has been even documented by trans people who are on hormone therapy.
These two sometimes .... I also peeped last episode that they somehow twisted Drogo's death as if it was Khaleesi's fault?? No lmaoo. She was naive for trusting the witch to cure her husband, but it was Drogo's own hubris and pride that got him in that situation. He left himself get cut for no reason, then got that cut infected because of his own carelessness, because Dany was urging him to tend to that wound but he refused. Drogo was dead from that cut anyways, so I don't understand how they twisted that to be Dany's fault
So, before you talk about women being too emotional to rule, let's remember the strong, logical choices made by our male leaders thus far:
- Ares, the Mad King, who burned men alive because it made him happy
- Rhaegar, who kidnapped Lyanna when he was already married with kids, sparking a war and ending a 300 year dynasty
- Robert, who went to war and broke a dynasty over a girl, claimed the throne, and then proceeded to blindly follow where his dingus led for 17 years before dying and leaving the kingdoms in turmoil
- Jamie, who is screwing his sister, fathering children with her, and passing them off as heirs to the throne
- Ned, who was too soft-hearted to tell his friend the truth, resulting in his own death and civil war
Let's also remember that, if Cat let Tyrion go in the first season, he would have immediately sent word to his father and King's Landing that she was on the road, and Ned and the girls would have been in massive danger anyway, except the Starks wouldn't have had a bargaining chip at all. She didn't make that decision from emotion, she made it based on a rapid assessment of the situation and a lifetime understanding of the politics of King's Landing.
THANK YOU! cause this comment had me sideeying
People always rise to their duty and circumstances. Cat is acting the way she does because she was raised literally on 'family, duty, honor'. Gender isn't a huge factor in whether or not you're "too emotional" or "too soft" to make hard decisions. It's disappointing when people overvalue the contribution gender makes to personality and then use that to draw conclusions about capabilities.
Also; Jamie fucking his sister is maybe not the strongest example for him, but rather how he's man in his mid 30s incapable of standing up to his father that is channeling his self-hatred (about how his own actions destroyed his childhood dream of being an honorable knight) mainly into being an absolute asshole.
Women are too emotional too rule. Name one matriarchy that withstood time
They are also supporting Dani to rule. Lol
They were proven to be right tho lol even going back to house of dragons…
The only time I'm with Cersei is when she puts Baelish in his place with "Power Is Power" 🔥
Coldest flex ever..I still love that scene, prob seen it a dozen times
That was a good scene.
That joffrey slap too
lmao Baelish was about to hand her a job application to work in one of his brothels after hearing her freaky business was now public. If she didn't put him back in his place he would keep pushing her around.
Unlike in the books, show baelish just oozes, "I'm evil, don't trust me."
Cersei and Sansa were both yelling and trying to get Joffrey not to kill Ned. Cersei didn't lie about that.
To be fair, with Joffrey being king, there's nothing she could have done to stop it.
@@user-dx2dm8oq8g Yes, clearly. :)
Right but she wanted it to happen and that was the plan. But then Jamie was captured. That's the only reason she tried to stop it.
True. Cersi is a strategist. Her motivations have nothing to do with morality but she knew the value in keeping Ned alive to be used as a pawn. Of course she would have had him killed as doon as he'd served her purpose.
@@user-dx2dm8oq8gactually Cersei is weak. She’s his regent. Because Joffery is underaged, Cersei holds the power. But she didn’t stop it.
Nah... the male leaders are just as if not more emotional than the female lesders. Anger, hatred, jealousy, violence, lust, arrogance, etc are all emotions that lead to stupid decisions and consequences by male leaders in this show and irl
Just because men are displaying those emotions, that doesn't make them less emotional (or more rational) than women.
Having said that, cool reaction. I can tell that y'all are really getting into the story.
From the people who brought us a GET GOT list on day ONE 😂😂
Exactly. Testosterone make people more aggressive, esteogens make people more _sensitive_ . Not more "emotional". Men are just as "hormonal" as women lol
we’re being spoiled, I love it!
Let’s just hope THEY aren’t being spoiled too! 😂
Respectfully, as per Brandon’s comment-men have been in charge forever and we aren’t doing so hot.
Also, if you follow politics, you KNOW that the men get a million times more emotional than the female politicians.
Men have been in charge forever and we would be in caves if not because we needed mens work to bring us from nothing
Very true
Well, there is also this interesting trend with some places where women are in charge.
@@esterzach Yes, and? Men are predominantly in positions of power. And they predominantly suck at it. It's called patriarchy, babe.
@@esterzach If you have women leaders in places that already discriminate against them and they have to rule over laws and regulations that already make it harder for them to begin with then yeah ... I would assume there would be "interesting trends" with women in charge as opposed to male leaders
Talking about how women cant lead because they are emotional... While you were just urging Rob to impulsively mutilate Jaime, their only real hostage, knowing they hold his sister and would mutilate or kill her in revenge.
Then there is Mad Aerys. Rhaegar and Robert starting a war over horniness. Neds father and brother getting themselves killed in a rage. Robert getting himself killed in a drunken stupor. Tyrion falling in love with prostitutes. Everything joffrey does. The Mountains horse killing temper tantrums. Ned getting himself killed. Crastor. Drogo getting himself infected in an admittedly cool temper tantrum. Baelish simping after Cat for 20 years. Everything viserys did...
I had a feeling someone was going to take issue with that.
Calm down, sweetheart
@@mercurydylan899 and look at you being condescending.
@@mugiwara_lathat’s all incels know how to do.
@@mercurydylan899DRIZZLE DRIZZLE 😂😂😂
There obsession with taking Jamie's hand is quite funny 😂
I'm smiling widely everytime they suggest it.
Right! but let’s talk about “Emotional” leaders though 😏😂
@@oq1106 I love it so much.
If Rob chops off pieces of Jaimie, what do you think Tywin Lannister and Joffrey would do to Sansa? She doesnt need hands or legs to have a baby for Joffrey.
In Sir Dontos' defense, when the king orders all the knights to come fight for his entertainment, you have no choice. He clearly was extremely nervous, so drank 2 cups of wine, but was clumsy, so he made a spectscle of himself. Joffrey didn't need to condemn him to death for being 2 seconds late ffs. Thank goodness Sansa thought of a way to save his life with the Hounds help.
So Crasters Keep Is a stopping point that they need to feed and house themselves when they travel. He stays there and maintains that stopping point. They hate him and are repulsed by him, but they need him. That’s the only reason they haven’t killed him.
I love how fast you put Castier on the list 😂
Lol didn't even have to see his face!!
-Adison
26:00 Lol did you just say it'd be hard for women to lead bc of our emotions?
Yeah uhm what 🤔🙄
Фатальная ошибка😂
broo said women are too emotional to lead !! did u see the male characters so far in this show ??
Yeah some of them have been making terrible or just outright evil decisions 🤦🏾♂️ you are right about that!
-Adison
not even just the show, in real life too! Men crack me me up when they say women get "too" emotional. Like yeah maybe we cry more in sad situation and during sad movies, but we are not the predominant ones killing, r*ping people for rejecting advances, and we surely are not the predominant ones shooting up schools, committing mass murders, homicides and other vile shit .....
- Just FYI, Hodor is the son of the old lady, "Old Nan," in Season One who always tells Bran all the stories. He's her baby.
- "This is why it's hard for women to lead" woooow, thanks for letting me know. Thanks for telling me how you really feel.
- The redheaded prostitute from the North is named Ros. She's my fav. Nobody asked, I just wanted to call her out as a baddie.
- Add to the Get Got list the soldiers who followed orders and killed that baby
Cersei did try and stop Neds Execution. She said "stop it, this is madness" she wanted to send him to the wall, not the grave😂
I like y'all so I'm letting the emotional women in leadership bit slide! You're conveniently forgetting that almost every man in this series that you've met so far has been completely emotional and insane besides the Starks. Everybody crazy- women just don't get as many leadership positions so they stand out a lot when they make bad decisions lol
You also gotta remember in time periods like this, young men are brought up learning tactics, strategy, fighting, etc. What did Kat learn???? How to sew? Gimme a break 😆
By the way, they were able to locate all of Robert's children because Jon Arryn kept tabs on them and made sure they were provided for. So the soldiers just went through the list.
I love the "get got list" concept lol. Interested to see how it evolves over the course of this series
Reminds me of someone else’s GOT list!😉
Cersei is the ultimate boy mum, she’s always let Joffery think he can have anything he wants, so now he has power he takes it to the extreme. That’s where part of how he is comes from.
The excessive violence probably is because of incest though 😂
“Chop the last three off so he can only do this 👌🏼” 💀
“Chopstick hands?” 😂
Black of hair is the paternity test..lol. The (Baratheon) seed is strong.
She did try. "My son, this is madness!"
Ain't NO WAY I'm considering that "trying" in my book. That's like someone saying they go to the gym but all they actually do is walk in and walk right back out. Are we really qualifying that???
-Adison
@@ednWhat more could she have done? He‘s the king after all. His word goes. 😭 To be fair, she only wanted to keep Ned alive because she wanted to trade him in for Jamie.

-Adison

I had to do some more research on it after we talked about this and y’all just look up some pronunciation videos tell me what you see!

@@edn I think Brandon put a little Memphis on that ngl
Oh my goodness! We are spoiled with this many consistent videos releases! Love to see it!
On the prostitution tbh.... there aren't many options back then. The caste system in medieval Europe was typically royals, nobles, clergy, and laborers. Laborers include everyone else from merchants and doctors to lower laborers, peasants, and serfs. So it's highly likely that some of the poorest families will sell their CHILDREN (including boys) to prostitution. So it's not like these women decided to make an Onlyfans of their own free will, nine times out of ten they were sold into it or they were running away from an awful situation (likely domestic abuse) and had to find out how to survive.
The wanting daughters vs. sons depends on the society and the time
For example, in Nyangan (from what is now Congo, Africa) mythic folklore, Shemwindo killed his sons so that he only had daughters because he was getting rich off of dowries paid to him for his daughters (that was until his son Mwindo, the hero of the Mwindo epic, was born and grew up to defeat Shemwindo)
Another example, is Mormon extremist cults (still practicing polygamy) where the boys that aren't useful are kicked out of the cults (they're sometimes refered to as the lost boys)
Edit: corrected autocomplete diaries to dowries
King Robert has SIXTEEN bastard children, Baratheon Brady Bunch energy.
You’re getting new characters every season and each one is insane 😂
Bubonic plague is pronounced “boo-baa-nuhk”. B was right
lol I've never heard it said that way. I just googled it as well. Maybe it can be said both ways though.
-Adison
Yeah that could be, I’m not an expert, I googled it too. Lol
I hope yall remember what yall said about men and leadership
I'm pretty sure there are TERRIBLE men who are in leadership positions as well (especially within this show). Brandon was just expressing his views on why he didn't feel specifically Catelyn could be a good leader. He NEVER said all and any man in general could do a better job. I personally know some great women who are in leadership positions 💯
-Adison
@@edn Yes. Brandon never said all and any man in general could do a better job. He said "it's hard for women to lead." He did not specify Catelyn.
@@cinnamonviviThat‘s not better… if it‘s hard for women to lead because of emotions then it’s hard for men for as well, only that it‘s mostly anger, arrogance and lust that blinds men.
@@a.j.1819 ... I don't think it's better? That's why I pointed out the sweeping overgeneralization in his statement
...chile, these edits..."Jacob is that you???" SIRRRRR🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"Brother, go home!" 😂 Captain America 😂 i so needed you two tonight.
That comment about women being too emotional to lead was not cool.
Just a little background on Ser Dantos, his house (House Holland) supported the house (Darklyn) that held the mad king in their dungeons until Ser Barristan rescuded him. Afterward Aerys ordered that everyone in both houses to be executed. Dantos was a kid and the only one who Aerys spared because that's what Ser Barristan requested for rescuing him.
And they found out who Robert's bastards were the same way they learn about anything, Varys.
7:24 The way he said "it's just not right"
Robert Baratheon sired multiple bastards before his death; sixteen if Maggie the Frog of ASoIaF can be believed, which it seems she can be. Seven are accounted for; Mya Stone of the Vale, Bell of the Stony Sept, Gendry (whom we're all familiar with), Edric Storm, the one highborn and acknowledged bastard, an unnamed pair of twins of Casterly Rock Littlefinger comments on, and Barra, the infant slain by Goldcloaks in a brothel (seen in the show).
You're getting a bit too far ahead of yourself
Kinda rewatching GOT by watching EDN reactions is dope. Cant wait for the 📉, the reactions will still be entertaining even when the show isn't.
Remember they have Sansa, if they hurt Jamie what happens to her.
Omg! Brandon's remix to Backstabbers had me hollering "slice they throat" 😂😂

Why the wont understand it anyway
They can’t kill Jaime, he’s a hostage, if something happens to him they’d have to be worried for Sansa and Arya
After you've absorbed the plot and watched the show a few times, you really start to appreciate how great of a character Cersei is.
I have her in my top 5 behind Tony Soprano, Don Draper, Omar Little. Best female character in (modern at least) TV history.
Can't explain how excited I am to see these two witness some of my favorite moments. It's like watching the show with new eyes
When they get to S2 Ep4 it will be the highlight of my week!

I love seeing how invested y’all get in what you watch. Especially Addison this episode because I would’ve thought he was right there with them. It makes the experience so much better when you care. Another great video as always so glad I discovered this channel.
If I had to give diagnosis for some caracters:
Jeoffrey > psychopath (not ptsd)
Hodor > Non verbal with intellectual disability or/and autistic
Jeoffrey is deff a Sadist.
Cersei > Narcissist Personality Disorder
I don’t see anything about Hodor that implies autism.
We know what happened to Hodor though and that's got nothing to do with autism or any kind of irl brain damage. So I think Hodor doesn't belong anywhere near this armchair psychology.
@@AnkhGirlnah, she still cares about her sons and Jamie, even though they make her look bad (especially Joffery)

Along with phrases to say, you also learn best home hospitality tips. (Guest rights are a big deal in GOT as you saw when the King's Landing guests arrived in Winterfell in Episode 1.)
The Game of Faces is a big deal, too. (Instead of questions you ask people, you just make statements to get their response.)
What you may encounter is what is on the TV show briefly and a bigger deal in the books. The books are a decade older than the TV show. I started early 2017 with the GOT on the web to help me fill in details such as view of the continents. (There is a GOT online game to play for free where you start with your own dragon and your own plot of land.)
I have seen the series several times over starting 2017 up to Season 6 for a long time. Then up to season 7. Then up to season 8.
Plus the audio stories and histories you can find on UA-cam as we waited a long time between series 6 and 7.
"Is he a big dawg or something?" Caster is needed by the night's watch because he offers them warmth, food, and shelter beyond the wall. It's not that they like the guy, but they deal with him because they believe they need him for those reasons.
12:04 he said “the grandmama the baby” 😭😭😭
Imho, I think the issues with Joffrey are a combination of nature and nurture. As Cersei said when a Targaryen is born, the gods flip a coin. It is believed that Targaryens are prone to madness because of the incest. I think Joffrey already had a predisposition to madness because of the incest and Cersei's child rearing didn't help matters.
Craster is ally of the Nights Watch. They trade with him when out ranging or just when they need help since there is nowhere else and could easily mean life or Death. Also their is something called Guests Rights when you are a guest in someone house you have to follow their rules and can't harm them and they can't harm you
“Every time a Targaryan is born the gods roll the dice” they say…..thats the deal with Geoffrey. IYKYK
Little late watching this one, got fam in from out of town, but I'm excited cause I love you guy's reactions to GOT.
I think Joff is extra cruel/violent because of the incest genes + the knowledge that one day he’s gonna be king. That shit makes your big headed, even adults struggle with power, imagine giving it all to a child 💀
And Tommen and Myrcella?
The entire show in itself is amazing. The visuals, the story the cast, everything. In terms of the books the last two season I believe were left to the production team.. these seasons are more iffy cuz it’s not the exact story that we got from the books but regardless it’s still and amazing show and you have to watch it all. It’s an emotional roller coaster but totally worth it.
The reason they let Craster talk to them like that is because he’s the only person friendly with The Watch North of The Wall. He gives them very valuable information on the Wildling’s movements and what they’re up to. Another reason is because of Guest Right. Craster has welcomed The Watch under his roof and shared his meat and mead. To harm a host after they’ve given you Guest Right is an unforgivable act of dishonor and you would be cursed by The Gods. Y’all are gonna get used to Guest Right soon enough with this show trust me.
You guys should at least listen to the dialogue of the adult scenes.
Enter Stan the Man Baratheon.
If only y’all had a count of times men made emotional decisions in this show vs the women 😭
But in saying that no hate coz I’m loving these vids ❤

Not that i support siblings mating each other, but to be fair: kids don't become twisted and cruel only because their parents were siblings. It's either genes (i've heard lots of maniacs are born this way, not made. And their parents were Not related.), or - preferably - the way they were raised.
Think about it.
Jofrey is just Extremely spoiled. And i mean Extremely.
He is allowed to do anything with no consequences, he is always approved no matter what. And he has power.
Some other violent or twisted child would've been pushed to some boundaries years ago. He would have to correct and/or restraint himself. But Jofrey was not. So...
And his family is Crazy. Like Crazy.
What can you possibly expect?..
Says, Starks are all different because they have real love and a good example, But also certain limitaltions, rules.
I'd say incest has a lot to do with it though. That sort of messing with genetics can fuck up the brain. Just look at the Targaryens for example. They're known for having family members who went "mad" and the whole line is full of incest.
btw, excellent Carice van Houten film: "Black Book" (2006) Zwartboek (original title)

as soon as you start to think guys might be cool... they start talking😂 that comment about women was actually crazy. have we not been paying attention to the men in the show? to REAL world history? to news TODAY? like???? y'all reactions are fun and commentary had been understanding towards men and women but that comment was not okay.
on another note, this show has me feeling excited and stressed all over again lmao.
"Some men just want to watch the world burn"
SHout out to the tweety bird shirt 😆🤘
One thing you will come to realize about this show, there are a lot of grey characters. There are very few who are absolutely good or absolutely evil. It definitely keeps you guessing.
Many great phrases that you can use come from "Game of Thrones".
"winter came for [name inserted]"
"the north remembers"
"my sweet summer child"
“Winter is coming”
Tyrion is in The Game now; will he learn to be a player? Cersei is continuing to show she knows The Game with her exhibition of what Power is but seems incapable of understanding the implications of her loss of control over Joffrey. And how she raised Joffrey (think back to her comments when she was treating his wolf bites) had a lot to do with encouraging his sadism.
Daenarys makes endless threats with absolutely no power to carry them out. True, she has three dragons, but they are too small to help at this point.
The Lord Commander of the Nights Watch made a excellent point to Jon Snow; before you can lead you must learn to follow. The question is, can he overcome his feeling of superiority and accept that truth.
Sansa understands that she is helpless at this point and must grovel to Joffrey and Cersei to survive. Arya is in a better situation with Yoren to aid her.
Robb's offer to the Lannisters is well thought out and he is intelligent enough to understand they will reject it. But will the influence of Lady Stark and Theon cause him to make a misstep? And how will the entrance of Stannis into The Game turn out. Will the Red Witch be a key player? And where is Renley?
So many questions to be answered. Let The Game continue.
Cersei thought she had control over Joffrey, but he showed her that he didn't, as he would show everyone as soon as they put a crown on his head, it's his personality, since he was little he was doing perversity, torturing his brother's animals, etc. The king's crown only guaranteed his immunity.
Funny cuz Sansa and Jaime are in my top 5 characters of the series overall… 😊😂 Can’t wait for you to watch it all. Great reactions.
😂😂😂 I love the content and rewatching GOT with y’all but the English teacher in me was like - it IS boo-bonic.
I believe it's a tomato type thing (meaning it can be said both ways) during school I always heard it pronounced with an emphasis on the "u". Plus he has a Memphis style of saying things so I thought he added that element to it but not that time I guess lol! 😂
