The stereotypical Wizard look you see with Gandalf and Dumbledore is primarily inspired by the Germano-Nordic god Odin/Wodin, typically depicted as an old man with long hair and beard wearing a long robe and pointed hat and holding a spear/staff. Wodin, along with his many other roles (Allfather, God of War, God of Death) is also the God of Magic. He became God of Magic by sacrificing himself to himself; he cut out his eye and placed it in Mimir's Well (literally "Well of Memory"), impaled himself with his spear Gungnir, and hung himself from the World Tree Yggdrasil for 9 days and 9 nights. Then he fell from the tree, and when he rose again he had knowledge of the Runes and the Magic of Women. Also, fun fact: Harry's scar is the rune Sowilo, which represents the Sun Goddess Sol and stands for Power and Victory.

In the book Ron was not on a horse he was just standing in place where the horse would have been and he was smacked with the sword by the queen. If you look back and look at that little cut that Ron received, it actually cut him a piece of the fake debris that they use for filming actually hit him in the face cutting him but he stayed in character the entire time
Points you may have missed. (1) Hagrid came to pick up Harry on his 11th birthday. (2) Aunt Petunia was Harry's mother's sister.... the reason he must stay with them is because of the old blood magic his mother placed within him before her death. So, he is only safely hidden with blood family. (3) The sign on Olivander’s Wand Shop says, “Since 382 BC” so I’m sure his business is fine. His family has been making, selling, and repairing wands all that time. (4) Universal Studios in Florida has the Harry Potter Experience where you can walk through the scenes. (5) When you have a chance look up the Hogwarts Houses history, it’s an interesting read. (6) Hogwarts is not the only Wizarding school of its kind… it’s just the one in England. You’ll see that there are more schools throughout the world, even in America (Fantastic Beasts). (7) The castle has resident ghosts, pay attention to them, and they help in later movies. (8) The Weasley Family consists of Molly & Arthur (Mom & Dad) and their 7 children (Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred, George, Ron, & Ginny), which is why the sorting hat says, “Ah, another Weasley!” it’s because he’d already sorted 5 before Ron. You don’t meet all the children, but they do pop up from time to time in all the movies. (8) Nevell Longbottom and Harry Potter have the same birthday. His development is pretty remarkable. (9) Madam Hooch is also the Quidditch ref. She’s pretty badass. (10) Mrs. Norris (Filch’s cat) talks to Mr. Filch (school janitor) that’s why they ran. (11) The Bludgers are different from the Qwaffles. (12) Fred and George are on the Quidditch team with Harry. (13) The invisibility cloak is important and will come up in future movies. (14) Filch isn’t really bad he’s just an idiot. (15) “Pull yourself together man” is a common English expression. (16) Centaurs are half man and half horse and can be learned about in Greek Mythology. (17) Hagrid is forbidden from performing magic because of being framed by Lord Voldemort. (18) Lord Voldemort and Harry are connected, so when his scars hurts Voldemort is up to something. (19) Richard Harris (the man who played Dumbledore) passed away between movies 2 & 3 so Michael Gambon replaced him. (20) Hogwarts is maintained by House Elves who live freely at Hogwarts but in exchange, they provide the meals and housekeeping. (21) He stood up to his friends and that’s why Nevell earned 10 points. He tried to do the right thing, despite the consequences. (21) Because of the blood magic Harry HAS to go back to the Dursleys each summer. (See item 1) THANKS FOR STARTING THIS JOURNEY AND I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE HOW YOU GO THROUGH THE REST.
You guys may well be my new favorite Harry Potter reactors! Entertaining commentary from start to finish. Subscribed and cannot wait for the next one 👍
You were asking why they gave Longbottom 10 points. He said it in the line before, he said " It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends." Neville in the scene said that he was going to fight Ron, Hermoine, and Harry cause they were going to get Griffyndor in trouble again.
I have to say, I appreciate how clean your review was. It was super enjoyable and I'm looking forward to seeing yall react to the rest of the franchise. Your reaction to seeing Lord Voldemort on the back of the teacher's head had me choking with laughter in my office!
You guys are hilarious! Thanks so much for reacting! Lots of parents wouldn't let their kids watch it for religious reasons. I thought it was sad for two reasons. First, many were relying on a phrase from the bible about not suffering a witch to live. Unfortunately, the appropriate translation of that word is now known to be "poisoner", not "witch". Also, like with many books and movies, if people would actually read or watched the material, they'd find they aren't what they assumed. In the Harry Potter series, the people who are loyal, courageous, and fighting for good are the characters who are praised and supported in the movie, whereas those who harm others are vilified. Good is fighting against evil, and wins! Thanks for checking this out. Hope you enjoy the series!
Fun reaction! I do hope you watch the rest of the series. The reason they ran from Filch's cat is because the cat alerts Filch, so he was on the way, and they'd get in trouble. Fun little fact: the dog that played Fang kept messing up the takes because he kept trying to protect the kids from the bad guys :)
i LOVED your immediate reaction to the mirror!!! “dont stay in there too long. you gotta live life.” SO TRUE. social media is a little bit like staring i to the mirror too long
I laughed so hard when you were talking about the coins and said " Watch they are all filled with chocolate." That was my first responds too. I thought can you imagine Harry opening the vault up and seeing all the coins only to walk over and find out they are all chocolate. lol
Not to give away any spoilers but you should know each book/movie covers one year. It took 10 years to film and we get to watch the actors grow into young adults. The movies mature with the characters. The first book/movie is almost entirely world building. It sets up the rest of the series.
Immediately from the start, calling dumbledore ,gandalf McGonagall, animorph and Harry's scar, etch a sketch. I knew this reaction vid was gonna be elite 😂😂😂
😂 Your reaction was hysterical. So many great one-liners. I was raised Christian too but my parents were fans of the Harry Potter books. They focused on the morals in the story over the use of magic, but I know some people saw things a bit differently.
The cat with the red eyes is a snitch. The idea in the movie is that Ron couldn't get off the horse chess piece because it would be considered another move on the chessboard which is an illegal move. They'd automatically lose. As someone else mentioned Ron wasn't riding the horse in the book. He was on the floor and the queen clubbed him over the head with her stone arm. Don't feel bad about thinking Snape was the bad guy. He's still a jerk and bullies kids unless they're Slytherins. He was much nastier in the book.
I'm from a Christian family with a grandma who's strictly Catholic but everybody loved the Harry Potter franchise. We get to dress up as the students whenever a sequel release in theatre! So glad my Grandma watched all the movies before she passed
Seeing yall get introduced to Harry Potter and genuinely enjoying the magical experience is one of my favorite things now😂 I've seen this movie no less than 50 times and did not expect to watch yall watch this movie for 45 mins. I did.
That was great. I hope you do the other movies. It was a lot of fun watching people who haven't seen it before. I know there's a lot of controversy surrounding the author, etc., but the books and movies are a great source of nostalgia for me. Thanks for the video!
That flute that you see Hagrid playing is actually a gift that he gives to Harry for Christmas which Harry then uses to seduce fluffy although that harp was already playing at the time. Also Ron remained calm the entire time when they were in the devil's snare it was actually Hermione that freaked out slightly, they had to make some changes in the movies from the books in order to adapt it but I highly recommend giving the books to read
Yes, giving Hermione all Ron's best moments, really pissed me off (there are more moments like this in later movies), i do like the movies, but some things really tick! Also the books are on another level! :)
Was skeptical judging by yall's faces in the thumbnail lmao but I really hope you two end up liking the movie! This is my favourite series ever and I love watching new people discover it for the first time! ❤

Wow, it‘s so fun to see your reaction for Harry Potter and actually experience your emotions once again. Cuz for us, who watched it huge amount of times (like at least every year on Christmas and New Year), it’s more nostalgic, then surprising.

He really is the LeBron of the wizard world lol. That had me weak lol. Not even finished with the video and I can't wait to see you guys do the rest of the movies!
That was the same reason for me why I didn't see it when I was younger and my parents said oh it involved in witchcraft. Just so you know though the Magic in Harry Potter is strictly science-based not religious base, so you have to have the DNA magic Gene inside of you and active in order for you to even produce Magic. On top of that at Hogwarts they actually have a class that's science of magic, or something like that that basically involves the science and magic and how they're used together.
This is the best series I've found on YT and I haven't even gotten halfway through this video 😂 I've seen every movie and ready every book and it's amazing to see others watch it for the first time!
My mum is a hard potter head, She'd always make us watch them when I was younger, never understood the storyline until I willingly watched it like 12 years later, now I know almost as much as my mum about the potterverse
Glad y'all enjoyed it. My mother's church back in the day. Would protest about the books and said the were evil and against God. I read the book myself to see what they were about. I loved them. 31:00 good call. It is called the mirror of erised which is desire backwards.
31:32 that’s deep.
Great reaction as usual. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
Obsessed with them correctly guessing what's about to happen lol
YESSSSSSSS can’t wait to see your reaction 😭 just hold it out through all of the movies and you’ll understand the hype I promise
Wait till they get to the third one! ❤
@@bidishah that’s always the one that hooks people 🙌🏼
Easily, the funniest and most entertaining Harry Potter reaction I've ever seen. 10/10
You guys may well be my new favorite Harry Potter reactors! Entertaining commentary from start to finish. Subscribed and cannot wait for the next one 👍
“some wrong with the alternator “😭😂😭😂😭 about a wand is crazy
😂🤣😂 -Brandon
You were asking why they gave Longbottom 10 points. He said it in the line before, he said " It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends." Neville in the scene said that he was going to fight Ron, Hermoine, and Harry cause they were going to get Griffyndor in trouble again.
"nvm i dont want them chicken wings anymore" ahahaha im dying
Man once I saw the ghost on that chicken it was a no go for me 🙅🏾♂️

i’ve never laughed this much watching harry potter reactions before 😂😂
I have to say, I appreciate how clean your review was.
"Neville Longbottom ,it takes great courage to stabd up to your enemies ,but even greter to stand up to your friends ,10 points!"
-Albus Dumbledore
I've watched a lot of reactions to Harry Potter and I'm finding the two of you absolutely charming. Looking forward to the rest of the series!
i LOVED your immediate reaction to the mirror!!! “dont stay in there too long. you gotta live life.” SO TRUE. social media is a little bit like staring i to the mirror too long
I laughed so hard when you were talking about the coins and said " Watch they are all filled with chocolate." That was my first responds too. I thought can you imagine Harry opening the vault up and seeing all the coins only to walk over and find out they are all chocolate. lol
It's a privilege to watch you two get into this world, thank you for this reaction!
Not to give away any spoilers but you should know each book/movie covers one year. It took 10 years to film and we get to watch the actors grow into young adults. The movies mature with the characters.
The first book/movie is almost entirely world building. It sets up the rest of the series.
Immediately from the start, calling dumbledore ,gandalf
McGonagall, animorph and Harry's scar, etch a sketch.
I knew this reaction vid was gonna be elite 😂😂😂
I will never get tired of Harry Potter reactions. Watch the whole series please
Y''all made my night! I can't even think of a time when I laughed out loud at a movie reaction like this! I really enjoyed this! Thank you!!!
14:12 I like that “Maleficent Airbnb castle” hahahha! 🤣🤣🤣
One of the funniest reactions I’ve seen 😂
Preciate you for tuning in!! 🙏🏽

When oh boy rolled his eyes when malfoy was peeking in the window had me cracking up 😂😂😂😂 I was like my boy invested now 😂❤
The first two films are very kiddy but starting with film 3 The prisoner of Azkaban they get darker and darker!
One of my favorite things to watch are adults seeing HP for the first time. Thanks for this.
I wouldn't say they had to make Hermione a Mary Sue and Ron just silly comic relief.
9:15 the Oompah Loompahs that got kicked out 😂😂😂 you boys are funny as hell... you not wrong though 😂
🙏🏾😂 glad you enjoyed the video!! Now I have to go back and watch Willy Wonka.
-Adison
Was skeptical judging by yall's faces in the thumbnail lmao but I really hope you two end up liking the movie! This is my favourite series ever and I love watching new people discover it for the first time! ❤
My favorite thing in the world is finding a channel reacting to Harry Potter for the first time. Best believe I’ll be tuning in to every single video, and thank you 🫶🏻 + y’all hilarious

Man 3 minutes in and I subscribed😂😂😂 Y'all are hilarious...I'm a huge Potterhead so this was awesome!!
Wow, it‘s so fun to see your reaction for Harry Potter and actually experience your emotions once again. Cuz for us, who watched it huge amount of times (like at least every year on Christmas and New Year), it’s more nostalgic, then surprising.
I love when i find people who watch Harry Potter for the first time. Didnt watch the video yet but hope yall enjoyed it.
I don't know that I could ever watch a movie with you guys, I'd be laughing hysterically the entire time you wouldn't hear a word! That was honestly the most I've laughed in a long time.
Please do the entire series. Part 2 next please. They just get better and better as the actors grow up.
He really is the LeBron of the wizard world lol. That had me weak lol. Not even finished with the video and I can't wait to see you guys do the rest of the movies!
So glad this reaction helped me find your channel! Thanks for this guys!❤
My question is, why does magic/witchcraft bother ppl when it's ALL made up & not real, none of it?? (Honest question)
@@BeboRulzreligion and superstition.
I LOOOOOVE watching people fall in love woth harry potter and gradually watch the preconceived ideas melt aways and the love growww- cant wait
lol YT algorithm brought me here I LOVE YOUR POST IT WALL, lolol. Oh and the reaction was dope
This is the best series I've found on YT and I haven't even gotten halfway through this video 😂 I've seen every movie and ready every book and it's amazing to see others watch it for the first time!
I am so glad you guys are finally going on this journey!
They were clearly fantasy, full of adversity, and a joy read. My children loved them and the movies. We are Griffendorf.
It is the best feeling watching people discover HP. Makes it feel like the first time again.
love the playful energy guys cant wait for the next ep
As someone who loved HP from childhood, I love watching adults react to it for the first time. These guys are so funny!
Yes keep going guys they get better with each one and more for the adults to the plot gets better to!! Great reaction you both had me laughing the whole way lol
You guys have the purest realest reaction ❤❤ I love this video
Thanks! This first film was really good! Hope you join us as we check out the next ones as well. ❤️
