Underrated bands/singers/etc. are usually barely known at all, or have a small underground following. So using this word doesn't make you a Hip person because you like them, it makes it the opposite.

I'm so glad this video among others is now available here on UA-cam on the official Rainbow channel. Good quality versions were almost impossible to find a few years ago. This song and the album was my first taste of Rainbow when I was a kid back in 1983 or 1984. It was also my introduction to the whole hard rock or heavy metal genre! I wish I'd seen the video back then but I only got to see it many years later. This song was the best thing I've ever heard and the solo section is excellent! David Rosenthal's Minimoog solo is still one of the best. It's very well constructed, skilfully played and melodic. It even mimics the sound of an engine and changing gears. How cool is that!

I actually had an early VR-prototype version of this racing game when I was a kid. It was a Tomytronic 3D device where you look into the binocular-like eyepieces as you tried to steer the car without crashing. That was a hard game, let me tell you. Seeing the game in Rainbow's video brought that memory back.

As legendary as Dio was, I'm definitely a fan of Joe Lynn Turner era Rainbow the most. It's mostly because that's the Rainbow I was exposed to first on MTV. Back then in the early 80's, I only knew Dio when he emerged as a solo artist in 83. I had no idea he was in Sabbath or Rainbow until later. All amazing lineups no doubt. But THIS ^^^^^ version of Rainbow feels like the Classic lineup to me. This tune is totally badass. It's 80's Highway Star
