    • @BrianYoungauthor
      @BrianYoungauthor 5 років тому +15

      No, he is NOT 'underrated'. I am sick of seeing that stupid word thrown around. If he, certain bands or music were, we wouldn't be discussing them and they wouldn't be famous. Underrated bands/singers/etc. are usually barely known at all, or have a small underground following. So using this word doesn't make you a Hip person because you like them, it makes it the opposite.

    I'm so glad this video among others is now available here on UA-cam on the official Rainbow channel. Good quality versions were almost impossible to find a few years ago.
    This song and the album was my first taste of Rainbow when I was a kid back in 1983 or 1984. It was also my introduction to the whole hard rock or heavy metal genre! I wish I'd seen the video back then but I only got to see it many years later.
    This song was the best thing I've ever heard and the solo section is excellent! David Rosenthal's Minimoog solo is still one of the best. It's very well constructed, skilfully played and melodic. It even mimics the sound of an engine and changing gears. How cool is that!

      He can smile obviously, but in this video, that smile doesn't looks like a pleasant smile, but more like a serial killer smile, which is fitting the narration of the music video 😂😂

      @@davidbrockett1 What I meant was for the average Joe like me that plays once a week in my bedroom I'm not like lot of YT drummer's and them kids you see that play 6-8 hrs a day practicing "Tom Sawyer" then show off on TY, yes I think I could play most of Bonzo's 1973 drum solo if I practiced it daily for hrs on in. I got my first kit in 1984 I'm 56, but I think I'm not that good my rudiments stink. I've been told I'm pretty good but ya ya then I watch Buddy Rich or Carl Palmer etc on YT and laugh smh and think damn I suck lol. You know we're our worst critics. I'm a self taught. Ever see that 7 year old japanese girl play Good Times Bad Times? I think her father made her play 8 hrs a day or she's one of those rare gifted kids than can play a musical instrument in two years that takes most people 20!! It kind of makes you jealous.
