Lyrics:
You won't hear me, But you'll feel me
Without warning, somethings dawning, listen.
Then within your senses,
You'll know you're defenseless
How your heart beats, when you run for cover
Your cant retreat I spy like no other.
Then we race together. We can ride forever
Wrapped in horsepower, driving into fury
Changing gear I pull you tighter to me
I'm your turbo lover
Tell me there's no other
I'm your turbo lover
Better run for cover
We hold each other closer, as we shift to overdrive
And eveyrthing goes rushing by, with every nerve alive
We move so fast it seems as though we've taken to the sky
Love machines in harmony, we hear the engines cry.
I'm your turbo lover
Tell me there's no other
I'm your turbo lover
Better run for cover
i am a car mechanic and here is a tip for you all: when you play this song on your car's audio, it automatically gains +20% horsepower

Horsepower?? Stallionpower mate!!
Oh yea, jamming to this in Gran Turismo 3 with my 1000+ hp Dodge Viper with the gears “spaced out” trying to reach 300 mph on the test track.

@Malik Mehboob dude check your tank, the turbo consumed all the gas!
This is what heavy metal is truly made Of: The Best Songs, and the Worst Video Clips
what a great way of putting it. And so very true! Man, there have been some truly terrible videos.
this is about as heavy metal as country music is.
this is more of hard rock
True.
@Iker Castro Vel‡zquez He likes despacito and duro
@freeshits, Yes. Heavy Metal bands sometimes create hard rock songs (as in here, Living After Midnight and Saxon did an AOR album with Destiny) and Hard Rock Bands sometimes create heavy metal songs (much like what Van Halen, Scorpions, Def Leppard have done). After the fast and mighty Defenders, I guess Priest lightened it up a bit and brought in glam metal and state of the art synths to create Turbo as part of their experimentation. They've never released the same album twice.
RIP to my dear dad (62), he always played this song in the hummer whenever we drove somewhere.
good man there ... sorry for your loss
may your father rest in piece
RIP dad!! Keep rocking and turn it up to 11!!
Keep the rock alive!! Sorry for your parent.
Sorry for your loss! You had an awesome Dad.
If this song can’t bring somebody back to life then nothing can
On my 21st birthday it did. Dying in the bathroom of alcohol poisoning, somebody put this record on (knowing that Priest is my favorite band in the world) and I apparently drunkenly recreated the whole video screaming the song. I pissed off some neighbors that night.
Hmm, well, I am breathing HEAVIER!🤣

It was supposed to be on the Top Gun soundtrack but the movie studio insisted that the band had to delay the release of their own album in order to not compete with the Top Gun soundtrack. The band refused and none of their songs were used for Top Gun.

So... After buying my son his own electric guitar for his 14th birthday, he asked me to show him what I listened to when I was a teenager. This was among the first videos I showed him. He looked at the video, then at me, and I could almost hear him thinking, "So that's why Dad is so weird..."
show him some classics, show him some old megadeth and older priest
Absolutely. We've had several sessions spending hours on youtube looking up classic hard rock and metal like Motorhead, AC/DC, early Whitesnake, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, etc... And of course... Black Sabbath!!! We've gotten strange looks when we go somewhere and he's wearing his AC/DC 'For Those About To Rock' t-shirt at 14 while I'm wearing an Avenged Sevenfold 'Nightmare' t-shirt at 42.

This song definitely holds a special place for me. My Dad had a VHS of a Judas Priest documentary which among other things happened to have almost all of Turbo Lover on it. I think I was around 9 or 10 at the time when I found it one day and the tape happened to be stopped right at the start of the song. I had trouble remembering names at the time so I'd always refer to it as the "skeleton song." My Dad saw that I really liked the song and turns out he had a lot of records of other rock bands. We ended up listening to those records for a couple hours a few times. Turbo Lover was basically my first introduction into metal/rock music. My Dad is still around and we still discuss music but those are certainly good memories to have over 23 years later.
Another amazing song by Judas Priest. I was born in 82 so I lived through a lot of their music and it was Awesome!!

I no care what anyone sez about this LP...it was kick ass, and Turbo is a killer diller jam. Kinda like Another thing Coming, just at a slightly faster tempo. Something ppl don't talk about often when it comes to 80s era Priest...their groove. Dave Holland was an in the pocket hard hitting groove meister w/the best low end drum production in the business. No matter how heavy the music got, and it got extremely heavy, underneath it all there was always a great song and a wicked groove.
