I think a lot of what's get lost to local Filipinos is that with the prominence of social media this age, there are thousands of first generation Filipino kids that are being born outside of the Philippines from Filipino immigrant parents and they have no way of learning about these varied nuanced takes on our food except for content creators/channels like FEATR and Erwan. There aren't a lot of Filipino content creators that actually delve this deep into the cultural aspect of our food and it's great that both local and overseas Filipinos are able to learn together on these videos. English is the lingua franca of the internet. I think it's about time we all get comfy with it being the default language used by content creators that want to reach a wider audience beyond just Filipinos within the Philippines.
I love how Erwan gives respect to the food by asking assistance how to eat every dish traditional way. It gives highlight on people's culture in every place he went.

Great way of honoring these small artisans and to bring them to light by promoting and valuing their authentic products made with love , passion and often hard work. 😂Ilonggo ako 😄kapag may celebration di nawawa ang valenciana na gawa nang nanay ko...yahhh organize ang ilonggo..naalala ko pa...pinapalo ako ng lolo ko kapag nagsasaing ako sa dapog is kahoy na lutuan..tapos kasama ako sa palengke ng lola ko sa pagtinda ng talbos na nakalagay sa basket...nakakatawa pa na remember ko nag pitas ako ng ube..nagalit sa akin ang lola ko dahil hindi maayos ang pagpitas ko..😄😄😄..nakakaloka lang ...gusto ko ang mga halaman na talbos pero namamatay pag nahahawakan ko...ayaw nila sa akin pero gusto ko sila😂😂😂omg
