    Surely someone has told you that your resemblance to Christopher Hitchens is uncanny. Wow. That's not a bad thing. He's one of my heroes!

    it works pretty good except for one playlist, where it always gets stuck while converting at the exact same position. but all the tracks in the list are good, no missing files - any ideas?

    Hi Mix Master G. First of all thank you for your amazing videos! My problem is that I don't have the "Collection XML" (.XML) - There is nothing in there. Is it because I only use the "free" Version of Rekordbox?!

    • @MixMasterG
      @MixMasterG  2 роки тому

      The only Rekordbox versions that are lacking export to XML were 6.0 - 6.3 all versions above 6.3 have the "export collection to XML format" under the file menu. maybe you need to update your RB

    Could this tool still work if I have a EP library on an Exfat drive, but need to use a Fat32 drive for cdj's? All the files (except EP database) have been cloned onto the Fat32 drive, so file structure of the music is exactly the same.

    • @MixMasterG
      @MixMasterG  3 роки тому +1

      To create a CDJ USB you always need to go through Rekordbox, what this tool does (or actually there is a new version) is convert your Denon Prime information (from ExFAT) to Rekordbox, you can then create a CDJ USB from Rekordbox.
      see these tutorials:
      Rekordbox 6 as your DJ software while using Denon Prime players such as the Prime 4 [MacOS]

      Hoi daar,
      One of the most frequently asked questions is: when will there be a Windows version of any of my tools?
      My honest answer is: never. Not because I'm an OS snob, the reason is much simpler than that. The cause for most support questions I receive is not app, but operating system related. I simply lack the knowledge about Windows to support it as well as I can support MacOS. I understand that having my tools on Windows would help many other artists and even multiply the revenue stream.
      With my resources being limited I've chosen to protect my good name when it comes to going the extra mile to support the users of my tools.
      I can't do that on Windows.

      @@MixMasterG I've never owned an apple product and don't plan to in the future, so as much as this hurts to read I fully understand and support your decision. Thank you for all your hard work and help in the Denon community! Hopefully Denon licenses some of these mechanisms and functions from you in the future

      @@MixMasterG This a fair response. I'm curious if you have heard any success stories of using Virtualization of OSX on windows. I don't see why there would be a issue. Can't believe am going to setup a box just to use your software. Thank you.

    • @MixMasterG

      @@rgfxnet Kind of depends. The biggest hurdle is the difference in filepaths between macOS (drive as name) Vs Windows (drive as letter).
      You easiest test is: if the source software in VM can aces your tracks & collection, then DJCU/DeCU/DeXT can use them as a source, the destination will most of the time be macOS only.
      Engine DJ uses relative filepaths, conversion from an Engine OS performance drive through a VM won't be a problem, but the result will be a Rekordbox.xml that has the filepaths for macOS (=the VM).
      I did a whitepaper on the subject a long time ago, might have some pointers download it from here:

    No plan for Windows?

    • @MixMasterG
      @MixMasterG  7 місяців тому

      One of the questions I'm frequently asked is, "Will there ever be a Windows version of my tools?"
      To be completely candid, the answer is a firm "no." This decision isn't motivated by any operating system preferences; it's a much simpler matter. The majority of support inquiries I receive are related to the operating system rather than the application itself. Unfortunately, my knowledge of Windows is limited compared to my expertise in supporting macOS. While I recognize that making my tools available on Windows could benefit many artists and potentially increase revenue, I've had to make a choice due to my resource constraints. I've chosen to prioritize maintaining a strong reputation for going the extra mile to support users of my tools, and I simply can't provide that level of support on the Windows platform.
