@@parsadot I tried checking out krautrock and it didn’t really strike a chord with me. I love this song and some of Radiohead’s other krautrock inspired songs like ful stop. I felt like the krautrock songs I checked out sounded too raw, in comparison to these deep textural landscapes. Do I just not get it, or is it a specific part of krautrock I should be listening to?
@@asmusavlund3074 i get what you're saying and i think we're on the same boat, ful stop is kinda influenced by the "repetitive" and "rhythmic" sound of a krautrock band i guess (this is how i feel, i might be wrong) here's an example : ua-cam.com/video/67cofvGh99Y/v-deo.html it's a live version of "Krautrock by Faust" motherfuckers playing the same two chords for 12 minutes. makes you trip major balls. Ful Stop and These are my twisted words kinda follow the same story, but radiohead being radiohead adds a bit of twist to it :)
@@parsadot wooooow that is fucking amazinggggg. And yeah the drony and repetitive elements is what I really like about krautrock. Can be fucking mind-bending. Thanks for sharing
This must of been a treat to see in person, I couldn't get tickets because they were already sold out the second the tickets went on sale, didn't have enough money to pay someone more than double the ticket price. It's a shame that stubhub fucks actual fans over who really want to see their favorite band. Still grateful I saw them in 2012 in Washington DC. Hoping to be able to see them again sometime
These are my twisted words When I feel you still walking I know I should not look down But I'm so sick of just talking When are you coming back I just can't handle it When are you coming back I just can't handle it When are you coming back I just can't stand it I just can't handle it.
Was at this show-didn’t recognize the tune so the guy behind me was nice enough to clue me in. Obsessed ever since. Best band ever!
Omg. Jonny and Thom bobbing together is pure bliss. Magic.
Best performance of this song i've seen. When Thom and Jonny are grooving in the exact same way it's fucking mesmerizing.
I was on another planet for this moment. Blasted right out of the arena from the intense energy levels.
This song literally brings out every emotion..
It would be cool if they made a whole album in the style of this song.
Beautiful idea!
go listen to some krautrock mate

They were in America?
El batero de portishead gozando el temaaaazo!!!
Thom is aging rapidly. Why? He is literally ahead of his time. Everyone else seems healthier.
J T I think he looks older with that haircut
he's probably the most stressed out of them all
This was in 2017..His partner of 20+ years had been battling cancer and lost. That had to contribute something.

Aging is a funny thing. I think a good part of it is simply genetics.
fuck was this ever intense..

Closest thing a recent band has come to The Beatles' Tomorrow Never Knows, seems to me
Muy buen tema!! no lo conocia
Es del 2009, poquito después de In Rainbows, sin ser lanzada en un LP oficial
Well they could have saved this one to play at the concert I attended to a year later
5/4 and 4/4 - tough to do.
It’s kinda funny to see thom jamming so hard he forgets to sing lol he’s into it.
Can anybody explain the feel on the counterpoint on this song? It's fucking awesome
The song is in 4/4 but Jonny is playing a counterpart in 5/4. Pretty cool
@@asmusavlund3074 thanks 🤗 i counted my self some time ago
CAN...
What songs of theirs would you recommend that are similar to this?
