These Are My Twisted Words Edited by Vasek Chalupa
Thanks to Radiohead and everyone who contributed
On August 23rd 2009, a group of Radiohead fans descended on the Výstaviště Holešovice Exhibition Hall in Prague on a mission to capture the band playing using as many different angles as possible. Bringing together the exceptional talents of many contributors, here's a glimpse of the result.
This is like Weird Fishes creepy/scary cousin
I don't see the connection between the two songs
@@rayaqin they both sort of have kraut influences and they both use a lot of arpeggios.
dude YES i feel that.
@@faboolean7039 they are also both played partly on guitars and by the same band
Drum beat is a bit similar too
Radiohead needs to do a "dark" album with new versions of all their super intense b-sides like this and Amazing Sounds of Orgy. All their "heaviest" stuff gets dumped into b-sides and it ain't right!
I made a playlist called "Radiodead" for myself collecting all these tracks into said dark album
@@MacianArt Share?
@@MacianArt share please!
i agree completely
WE need an angry Trickster
Those old dudes brought me here.
This really should have been in TKOL. It would have made the album complete and longer. I do understand it was "leaked" by Radiohead themselves in 2009 to tease TKOL, therefore this song was a free download via torrent, but I bet people would have still loved to buy the album with this song in it.
[Verse 1]
These are my twisted words
Went off the roof still walking
I know I should not look down
But I'm so sick of just talking
[Verse 2]
When are you coming back?
I just can't handle it
When are you coming back?
I just can't handle it
[Outro]
When are you coming back?
I just can't stand it
I just can't handle it
Currently revisiting Radiohead Rarities after A Moon Shaped Pool has dropped.
Me too, and I guess lots others. I feel all family now.
what other songs were not included ?
This song is actually out there, it came out as a one-off single before The King of Limbs
Tragedy this wasn't included on The King Of Limbs.
They can't be compared to any other band.
tallgeese1 i wish i could
They can and i think that's pretty good because it means that there are a lot of good bands
was thinking the exact same thing
@@marcoantoniomorenomiranda486 name one band that makes something similar to radiohead and can stand thoms legendary voice.
@@excelesia COldplay was first radiohead copied them
I don't want to sound like some lost soul who looks to Radiohead like they "really get me" or "they're my only hope", but these lyrics really hit close to home for me.
Loved the arpeggios, slides, and effects on the guitars. I like the studio version better, but this sounded pretty good.
The best Fucking song in the world
how is this not on an album its perfection
for a song to be on an album it doesn't just need to be "good", it has to fit. We could definitely use a radiohead album with a similar sound tho
@@doomerbloomer6160 Will this fit in King Of Limbs?
3:38 Ed is just vibin
the first times I heard this,it was just an headache of guitar noises and now it is one of the best things I've ever heard! totally amazing!
Radioheads' music is the kind that grows on you, the more you listen the deeper it gets into your soul!
I agree. Some Radiohead songs I don't even listen to the lyrics. I interpret what they are saying with the sounds/rhythm.
@@karziflora well said.
this track and performance is just immense. from the beautifully relentless drumming and rhythm to the sea of atmospheric guitars. awe.
Fucking totally completely amazing. Best band ever in the history of the planet. Thanks to all in Praha!!!!!
It`s hard to believe this is live...
Suuuuch a flawless performance, even better than the studio version.
The only song ever that has captured the magic of early Pink Floyd. I can listen to this song 20 times non stop.
This is more Can than Pink Floyd-
I know of no Can or Pink Floyd song that is as good as this one. It's subjective I know, but even though I love all 3 bands, Radiohead has their own level for me.
Have you ever heard of Ween?
So you say that this Song here is better than any song of Floyd? I Love Radiohead much more than Pink Floyd although i wouldnt say they are necessarily better. And i like this Song, but cmon
Can, Floyd, Radiohead and Ween
Just add Swans in there and you have all of my favorite bands
That bend and 0:43 is pure bliss.
how come every radiohead song is so goddam amazing?
Thom ought to create a electronic solo version this belongs in the fields and woods of anima
The best rock group in the world.
Man what a cool era
I wish more people understood this. I find myself in discussions about music and I feel like running for the hills.
Enjoying this during the pandemic 😷
Radiohead siempre suena al futuro
Morning Mr. Magpie is like the second part of this song ;D
This is the closest to studio version of any RH song that i have seen.
Let me introduce you to the basement sessions then. Just search Radiohead basement and be amazed.
@@wybren Yes the basement is amazing. I think I meant at a concert.
Love! Such a cool sound this song has. I sure miss Thom's hair like that. lol I've gotten used to they way he wears it now, but I loved it back then. Freakin Radiohead. I can't wait for the US July 2018 tour. Lots new live video coming I'm sure.
Holy shit that is some TALENT. Thanks for uploading!
The intro gives me chill bumps👍🏻
God damn those drums are tight.
Edit: spelling
This one and “you wouldn’t like me when I’m angry” are in my most under radar favourite songs. ❤
Omg that part in 1:48 makes me feel badass. Idk :D. This is my favorite part.
It reminds me the song of Pink Floyd "Set the Controls for the heart of the sun". Like this guitar part is similar and amazing. Every time I listen to "these are my twisted words", it makes me wanna listen to Pink Floyd again:)
Radiohead does the Necks. Lovely.
YES, give that telecaster some love :D
AWESOME!
*Looks in the description of the video*
Ah yes, Creep
Now THIS is a collaborative, dedicated band.
AMAZING!
professional video! bravo
One of my faves
beauty ♥
SUPERB!!!!!!
Brilliant, simply brilliant!!!
This could go on forever and I'd never get tired of it.
Even live they blow me away.
that old man was soooo right on Phil's groove on this one.
niceness this vid is tottaly rad ive never seen a video for this song so this is a first
Holy shit, this makes me have a whole new appreciation for this song!
I LOVE THIS! First time I heard it was from the Houston show streaming live over the internet. I can't believe there are still songs out there I haven't heard by Radiohead! I love Thom's riff. Such a cool dark vibe... MORE MORE MORE!!
Thanks guys, for putting this together in a way that meant the band wanted to get involved! This has made my day :)
1 person has swirled worlds
One of my top favorites. Haunting.
This sounds so perfect, for a second I wondered if someone ran a studio recording over this video! Radiohead is so amazing live.
This song could go on forever and I don't think I'd ever get tired of it.
Also you can tell they really enjoy playing this one.
I can't wait till they tour again so I can't dance my ass off to it.
una genialidad. en mi.top 3 de canciones de rh con in limbo y national anthem
i love it, too :(
holy shit that was amazing
fell asleep while listening to the live in praha concert, I woke up to this and it felt like a fucking fever dream
Seems like the guitar riff is in 5/4 but the drum beat is in 4/4. Trippy.......
compelling & trancelike
Fucking awesome
i feel blown by the radio - waveeeeee.....
Their best song by far
You could say this about all their non-album releases.
OH WOW
hearing this again is making me think...radiohead are gonna drop another album very soon after a moon shaped pool
That's going be like being halfway through a big rich meal and the waiter drops a tray full of desserts.
+DonaldRumsfailed spot on
Twisted Words - Cut a Hole - Big boots for the last three songs
Dalek Cydonia There is actually a single of TAMTW, so there's no need on recording it again.
Why?
The Cure vibes for me here 😊 Superb one.
but it's such a beautiful song
@the2dmin okay, its very melodic!
OMG
Very good borris Johnson impression at the start
It is a shame this song did not appear on TKOL. It would have fit right into the album. Even though it is more guitar driven song.
it's funny how their most magnificent gems often end up as b-sides... think Talk Show Host, Cuttooth, Fog, Banana Co.
I love how the audience is just.. quietly listening
SUBLIME
this is a new Weird Fishes
i watch the creep performances of 2009 and im like oh no, thoms voice is going...then i watch this and think ....nevermind, all is well with the world
this is song totally reminds me of early Pink Floyd
Du GRAND Radiohead ! (ok, un peu comme tous leurs morceaux...:))))
@EarEb Yeah kind of !!
Radiohead is my religion, Thom Yorke is my god
HA they played it a good bit during the tour this year so IN YOUR FACE GUY WHO POSTED PRE-TOUR!!! xD
is this all from vids from the crowd? if so... fuck you guys are good at organising and arranging the footage and sound for a video!! fair play. this is great!!! radiohad are lucky to have such great fans.... song's not too bad either!!! lol. :-)
@etejuanete3 I think it will most likely remain a bside. I think if it was gonna be on an album it would have been on TKOL imo
Simplicity is wonderful, i am constantly consumed by how radioheads playing appears absolutely effortless to me. We do not have to forbid any other human beings exuding lyrics and sounds like them, as they just cannot. Only one word is needed to explain radiohead. BROBDINGNAGIAN
@o2G2o Well, there is a studio version. Not sure if you've heard it? And yeah, I understand what you mean. It took me several listens to get into it. At first I found it dull and like it didn't really go anywhere, but now I love it. That is generally the case with Radiohead. Some of their stuff can be difficult to get into, but when you do - Wow!
@ucfknightsjay Broomfield roll call. 19 more days!!!
Oh come on now you. The world is big enough for both of them.
This should have been on King of Limbs even though it probably wouldn't fit the tracklist
@radioheadroxsmyworld
There are some parts I don't mind that pop up throughout the song...certain chord progressions, etc...maybe I shouldn't judge a live version. I'm sure the album version (assuming this makes the album) will be different in many ways. I pre-ordered the newspaper/.mp3 version yesterday by the way and I'm definitely anxious to hear it.
@o2G2o I think what you're hearing is a combination of the time signature of this song being an odd one, and the fact that there is an awful lot of intentional detune from the pedals jonny or thom is using.
@coolbubble YEP THATS SO FUCKING TRUE MAN! ONLY WITH RADIOHEAD THAT WOULD HAPPEN
Radiohead play this song .. think the world on tour ..))
@etejuanete3 Ah! I did forget about it! Thanks for reminding me.
@vandal640 he is an alive metronome (sorry my bad english jeje)
This was the last song they released before the Devil took his due
Muse... who???
Anybody else notice how they released this song and then kinda forgot about it?
¿Alguien se dió cuenta que el sonido de la guitarra de Thom Yorke se parece bastante al de Kurt Cobain en "Come As You Are" ?
