Congratulations to all villagers! It takes a lot of time, patience, creativity, years of collecting, messing up and starting over. Thanks for sharing your hobby. 😊
Wow! All so amazing. So many large villages this year and so many with trains. That is a lot of hard work and fun. Thanks Miriam for having the contest so we can see everyone’s creativity.
I think all Christmas villages are magical! The villages submitted for the contest are even more so and I would like to thank all of the contestants for all of their incredibly lovely creations. I am so happy I am not a judge. Also, a huge thank you Miriam for not only putting everything together for us to enjoy, but for giving us all the confidence and knowledge to bring our village ideas to life. Miriam you make villaging look easy with your videos and tutorials. they are easy to watch full of tips and are a inspiration to so many viewers and they are greatly appreciated. Merry Christmas everyone.
Miriam, the judges will definitely struggle to pick a winner! Every Village Extraordinaire contestant looked stunning. I really enjoyed watching the video.
Absolutely love all of these I started collecting this yr and I'm very happy with my village so many ideas for next yr thank you all so much for sharing xxxxx
I know how long it takes me to put up and then store my little 7ft, 7 building Victorian Village ( my first pieces go way back to the 80’s). I can therefore certainly appreciate the enormous amount of time, energy and determination it takes to arrange these phenomenal displays. Thank you to each and every entrant to these contests. They are all magnificent!! 🇨🇦❄️🎄👏 I would however, like to give a little shout out to #1. It is on a scale I can relate to, so I actually watched that one 3 times! I loved the spacing of the houses and the attention to detail with the wonderful snow. Adding little footprints, tire tracks and snow on car roofs etc. and it was lit and filmed to perfection! Loved it! I hope that entrant reads my comment! 👏🤓🇨🇦🎄
@CarissaSouthard Oh you are so welcome, obviously I loved yours, and I’m so glad I got to see it. I hope this doesn’t sound weird, but every once in awhile, your village will just pop into my head! Keep Villaging! 🎄🇨🇦🙋♀️
@@peggy-ann1961 Not weird at all. I am so glad it brings you joy. I think about villages every day all year long now! I'm committed. We have much more in store for years to come. All the best 🤗.
I made sure to watch every last one of the 55 contestants’ villages because I now fully understand all of the hard work and sacrifices it takes in completing these Christmas Villages! I quit about 10 times before I persevered and finally submitted my village! 😂 I really enjoyed watching all 55 villages and I was so inspired! Also Miriam, is there a way for each contestant to be acknowledged after the competition is over? Perhaps including the contestants names along with their contestant number in the description box for each video category? That would be awesome; I would love to see the names to each village, and how each contestant grows with creativity year after year!
You couldn’t have said it better. It is so much work and I am proud and thankful to each person who decides to share their village. Not sure about sharing contestants names and scores, that would be so much work. I enjoy taking more time off to spend with my family towards Christmas and the new year. If I can get around to it, maybe after the new year.
@ Hi Miriam, I definitely was not insinuating including scores 😅, just acknowledging each contestant who participated. For example, Joe Blow Contestant #1, etc. We worked so hard on our villages, I’m sure many of us would like to be acknowledged if possible. I certainly was not putting a time frame on it as well 😂, definitely not during the holidays and inhibiting time being spent with your family; it was just a mere suggestion in acknowledging all of the wonderful participants. Thanks so much Miriam!
Wow Aliyah on writing and publishing a book!!! A dream many don’t reach! Watched 1-21 and did a little skipping through the rest. #3 is most detailed and impressive.
Whether you have 100 buildings or 5, a ski slope or a beach, a flat town or a 6 foot mountain, a train or a flying balloon...you should be proud of what you have in your house. These are amazing. Knowing what it takes to make what most people look past (the steps or the arches or the cliffs or the waterfalls, etc) it is clear that everyone is an artist and put their heart into their village. These are all amazing. Good luck judges. I'm glad I'm not you. 😀
Incredible! May I ask how people get the white flat surfaces that looks like snow? I want to get away from using the snow blankets and fake snow. Thanks.
Hello, here is a video I posted recently of how I do my snow. I hope others respond to you as well and give you tips. 2024 Christmas Village Set Up: Part 2 ua-cam.com/video/qVaHpCs6AiM/v-deo.html
I'm not sure if we are talking about the same trees, but Department 56 makes trees called Snowy Jacks, and Lemax makes similar trees called Mountain Pines (the Lemax ones come in various sizes).
Congratulations to all villagers! It takes a lot of time, patience, creativity, years of collecting, messing up and starting over. Thanks for sharing your hobby. 😊
Spoken like a true villager. 😁

You are most welcome Linda! 😀

Yes, I am so proud of her. She has already written book 2, just need a few more sales from book 1 to publish it. 😁
So many fantastic villages. Don't envy the judges for trying to choose a winner. I do have my favorite though😊. Well done everyone and good luck!!!❤
I don’t either, they have their work cut out for them. 😁

I use Woodland Scenics Soft Flake Snow Shaker and sprinkle it on, I have read some people also use baking soda.
Wow! Everyone really stepped up their game, the judges really have their work cut out for them. 😬🎄
I know Loren! I was blown away. Y this years entires. Will you be in the zoom call this month on the 22nd?
I’m planning on it, we have lots to talk about, you better eat breakfast before the call this time. 😅
#51 😍😍😍😍😍
It is a good one!
I have seen the white pompom trees in many villages. Where do you get the th?
❤em
They are at hobby lobby. They have them in lime green too.
I'm not sure if we are talking about the same trees, but Department 56 makes trees called Snowy Jacks, and Lemax makes similar trees called Mountain Pines (the Lemax ones come in various sizes).
Luville mountain pine is nice. (Google it :) )
