- One of Elton John's greatest hits released in 1972 on the album Honky Château. The Kansas 1982 version is in my opinion one of the best concert versions of this song, it can compete with the classic performance at Wembley on 30 June 1984, or on 14 December at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.

This was my very first concert. It was pure magic to my 14 year-old ears. I distinctly remember during this very song on that beautiful summer evening in Kansas City, Missouri. That I knew I needed to have live music around me always. Starlight is a 70+ year old 8000 seat outdoor amphitheater, and it's still one of my favorite places to see a show. Like you, I also have the recording of the entire show, a fun document to revisit now and then.
I saw Elton in Cleveland on this tour. It was amazing, back with his band that did all those great albums, Dee Murray, Nigel Olson, Davey Johnstone, and Bernie and Elton writing again together for half the Jump Up! album. Plus, Empty Garden.

Thank you so much for putting that out there. I just got married and we didn't have the money to go to that show but I recorded it on cassette tape the whole concert was broadcast live. My cassette tape got destroyed several years ago and I thought it was lost forever thank you again.
