From my experience the false colour (urban) is the best band view to see bushfires/wildfires. The gospers mountains fire in the blue mountains around November 2019 is a great example I think. For some reason it tends to contrast between burnt and unburnt land better. Which bands do you think are the best for viewing fires on sentinel?
For the Myanmar fire, at 07:22, the video appears to be from across the river, looking at the beach with the 2 smoke plumes directly behind. So assuming the map at 07:22 is north on top, it would mean viewer was looking west, but the pin of where FIRMS said fire was was north west and would not be in field of vision. In such a case, do you just assume FIRMs lat/long are inaccurate ? or conclude that the video is showing a fire that is different from the one shown by FIRMS ? Would you be looking at different dates to see if there is a fire due west of the beach? or just assume that the indication on that date was the correct fire and lat/long given by FIRMS was not accurate?
@@tokyo.peking Look at the description, use a music identifying service like shazam or google or whatever, do SOMETHING. Why watch these videos if you are that lazy and don't know how to find something?
That would be great if you could use this to see the position of the really hot howitzer/tank barrels of the Russians, & the hot projectile trajectories, & give it to Ukrainian forces in almost real-time...?
@@videostarish Yeah certainly, the results are not real time though FIRMS is updated about every 24 hours so it probably couldn't be used to organise counter battery, still a great tool for viewing the hot spots of the war though.
@@kindgrinds I was wondering if the Ukrainian's could use thermal cameras to see where the tank/howitzer rounds were coming from, as they would leave some kind of thermal signature...?🤔
Keep up the great work man! Just letting you know you have fans that really enjoy your educational material!

You actually can use this to find MLRS batteries
@@kindgrinds Do you think they ARE actually using this...? 🤔
