I thank God for my brother MR. God uses him in mighty ways... however there are certain points that give me "pause"... namely when he speaks about self victimization... I think he should have fleshed it out more... as someone who is a Christian Counselor who works with youth of all ages in various settings, I do believe that hypocrisy of the elders is what perpetuates the self victimization of the younger... thus repentance and not merely acknowledgment needs to occur in those who have been (historically and otherwise) the victimizer (especially those who have done atrocities in the name of Christ BBC we are the ONLY light of the world) so that true healing can take place in the hearts of the legitimate victims and will expose those who hide their sin behind the pain of others... the position that he took could seem like he was minimizing the wrongs done to others... in short, he didn't "put on flesh", which looses many souls and further enforces division. like Christ, I think we can acknowledge ppl pain and still point out their sin... thus keeping a biblical standard while displaying Christ's love... in many cases, anything else just seems smug, cold and Pharisaic. in short, what he said seemed to be cold but right. yet I ask you, do we want to be right or righteous?... I think we can be both... my fellow Christians let us not make monuments of our pain no matter how legitimate... and pls don't minimize the pain of others in order to prove that all have sinned... there are times when we can win arguments and loose souls...

also, the story of the good Samaritan is an actual rebuke to the Jewish ppl and can imply that the "victims" of today are often the ones who put their necks on the line in order to help others... thus, putting the charge on the Jewish people (those who had the power and suppressed The light). As Western Christians, this is US... we must STOP looking down out noses at other ppl with pretentious pitty, expecting them to "get over it"... and as an African American Woman I charge those who fall into the same oppressed classes as my self, to know Christ as a healer, seek Him first and be willing to let go of the pain (and the sin that hides behind it) regardless of the repentance of those who continue to abuse, marginalize and minimize you.

I love this audience; they actually get his jokes pretty well and laugh their heart out.
