Great videos! I have problems with importing a roto of the same frame range from a different software (fusion). Somehow Syntheyes does not show the alpha I import as separate alpha to the shot. I tried exr, jpg, png, tiff - both in greyscale RGB or, if supported, as alpha channel, and also with "_alpha" file naming and corresponding frame numbers as suffix. When I click on "alpha" the roto is not used. Any idea what I am probably not doing right? Thanks again
The latest version of SynthEyes, 2210, deals with the roto stuff a lot better than the version depicted in this video. Importing alpha images is a lot better too.
@@MatthewMerkovich thanks for the reply - I installed the new version as well, but when I activate Alpha in the lower left UI panel, the displayed viewport appears 100% white, not sure what else I can do
@@BlackPantherElite Are you using an image with an alpha, or is it a greyscale RGB image? I don't think SynthEyes recognizes the alpha channel of an image like an EXR or TIFF, but instead just uses the RGB values (even if they result in a greyscale). The alpha image here should really be just pure white or pure black, as well. This is a garbage mask, after all.
Thank you so much Matthew for helping us learn tracking without much of challenges
Amazing tutorials. Thanks so much Matt!
I am binge watching these. Damn right I am! Meat, potatoes AND GRAVY! merci. Thanks!
Thanks Mr. Pinsky, really enjoy these new Syntheyes tutorials.
As always - thanks for the thorough explanations of your thought process. Looking forward to to nitty gritty in the next one.
Great information - cheers!
Wow, Thanks. Really Thanks

Trop top!!
good job
Can’t believe people now adays. Of course you should never leave your trackers unsupervised! They’ll get into all sorts of mischief
You'd be surprised by what I see when people think their supervised trackers are done. Supervision is an often wildly underrated task.
