My fan stopped blowing completely. I took it out and while it was still connected, I turned on the AC and nothing, but I can hear a little click, so I knew it was getting power. So I Spun the fan manually and used a brush to clean around the spindle. Reconnected it and it’s working perfect. Worth a shot before replacing it
Man, yer videos are very easy to follow, and learn from. I like how u don't "talk" down to the viewer's and just explain in theadiest way to understand! Thanks for making them!
Bench testing is for beginners and still useful but testing before removal is more helpful and some models have blower motor resistors which sometimes fail before motor. Just saying.
If I check the blower motor outlet and have ground and power does that mean it can't be the temp. control switch? I replaced the switch a few months ago and I'm just trying to rule out that being it. Thanks in advance
Great video again. Thanks so much ! 2005 Pontiac GA blower top speed failed. Then, shortly after other four ceased. Replaced resistor and then blower motor without change. Checked fuses and even swapped the starter relay with one for this and Still nothing. Frustrated. Anybody? I realize both new parts could be defective but betting against. And this vehicle has a few quirky electrical issues. Has had for few years. Electrical overhaul? LoL
@cozmo2727 Hello ! I am at a standstill. Other than testing the old And the new blower...Friend suggested maybe the switch itself but I feel that's unlikely. Open to your guidance and advice. Thank you in advance. Today is last day for blower return...
2008 Audi A4 2.0. Ac will not blow either on hot or cold. I do not hear compressor turning on. I have 12V at my wire going to my 5 pin relay but my 5 pin relay ohms OL on every pin. Also my Fan ohms OL on every Pin! Either both are bad or my meter is junk. I feel like I'm at the end of the circuit becaues I have 12V at relay wire and the only thing in between is the relay I think is bad and then to the fan which I think is also bad. Also applied 12V to my fan and nothing so that confirms one is bad. Still wondering about the relay. Fog lights and compressor don't work and I suspect that the 5pin relay if its bad is controlling not only the blower motor but the compressor and fog lights. Am I on the right direction? You said more than one thing could be bad right?
I did this with my car electricity on (not started) and it just kept sparking. Should this test be done without the key out of the ignition? (no power)
very nice video. can connect to test without turning engine. test any poison smell, as when engine on could suck from broken exhaust pipe poison gas inside the salon. spot in
Yes ,, same question ,, you only checked if whether is working or not ,, but the real checking is how power rotating it is .. is it powerful as new or aged used ..
Just because it spins does not mean its a good motor, I had a problem with burning blower motor switches. I checked amp draw of the motor and it was pulling roughly 250 amps. No wonder the switches burned. Voltage drop tests didnt really tell me anything, i was dropping about 1.5 volts on the positive side. And had .6 volts dropped on the negative side, understandable since for 250 amps 14 awg wire is not even close for such a draw, thus creating a substantial voltage drop. Strange thing is it never popped the 40 amp breaker, im assuming because the blower switch was acting like a resistor limiting amp draw. Hope this helps someone.
Im having a problem in my car I just a bought and brand new blower motor after having the same issue as you changed the relay, resister, and blower motor and the fuses keep blowing everytime I go to turn my ac on what should I do?
Just hold the motor with one hand and bang 12v on it to test it . Why you saying it dangerous.?? Face it away from you and hold it with one hand or position it into a vice Hardly rocket science You're telling ppl not to do it because it dangerous but showing us ?? Strange video 📹

You are a very good technician thank you for making it easy for us to understand great demonstration👍
Good info
Quick and to the point good video
.. Thank You .. EXCELLENT DEMONSTRATION .. EXCELLENT VIDEO & AUDIO QUALITY .. 1ST-CLASS ..😍👍🙏

Thank you. Now i want to test my old one to see if it was still good after i put in a new one.😅
Hi if the ohms are reading high does that mean the motor is bad? It read as high as 100 then goes down to 5-6
U forgot to use a table, but thanks it helps me a lot
You do not need a table for this install.

Thank you so much Misha. You saved me bucks. 🙏

Hi,
My cars blower motor resistor is keeps failing while trying to replace with a new one. Could you please suggest a solution?
How about the resistance? How you can find out ?
My rear hvac stopped working in my 2019 chevrolet traverse and both wires are hot is that normal? No ground.

What if it has a bad armature wire winding?
I did this with my car electricity on (not started) and it just kept sparking. Should this test be done without the key out of the ignition? (no power)
Tested the voltage for the blower motor with switch turned on high and was only reading 5 V, any ideas?
If this voltage going in to the motor (power connector) - its High R on power side.
If this voltaje comino out of motor - ground sid R
Hello. What can be the problem when heater fan is always on?
very nice video. can connect to test without turning engine. test any poison smell, as when engine on could suck from broken exhaust pipe poison gas inside the salon.

What if the resistor still working but the fan power is weak ?
Yes ,, same question ,, you only checked if whether is working or not ,, but the real checking is how power rotating it is .. is it powerful as new or aged used ..
My blower motor com on sometimes and not com on sometimes by it self.what can be the problem?🙃
Having the same problem did you ever figure it out?
@@jasmineprice2645 Can be the blower motor or the resistor on my car it was the blower motor.
@Noyesv thank you

You had everything u needed to measure the current draw, and you skipped it. Bummer.
Stop saying GUYS pls. Lots of women mechanics out there too.
