Nice documentary, but the map of Circassia is further up north in the Northwest Caucasus not in Georgia. Where it says "Lazica" is where the real Circassia is, and "Lazica" is the same thing as "Colchis", so Lazica should not be written there. I'm surprised Al Jazeera didn't pick that up, but its just a minor fault. Thanks for posting the documentary :)
rather a "major fault " ; Circassian presence in Jordan dates to WW1 when the ottoman turcs called them for jihad against the Christians ,especially the Armenians; so they have participated in the 1915 Genocide with the Chechen fanatics ; Krikor Zohrab and Avedis ,the two Armenian members of the ottoman parliament were murderes by Circassian killing bands in Anatolia .The Armenian presence in Jordan is also a consequence of the same genocide . Yes some of them took the Armenians as slaves and others were forced to become their wives, but many did look after the Armenians. A similar situation was found among Kurds in Western Armenia, but with the Kurds most joined the massacres, while a few only helped Armenians. Yea at the time the Arabs actually revolted and joined the invading French and British armies. But all you hear from Turks is that Armenians revolted, when Armenians actually never revolted, some just put up an armed-resistance to being exiled from their ancestral lands.
