Woww. I flew air canada, left my airpods and immediately told them. She couldn't find it herself and said we'd have to wait for the plane groomers but the amazing worker made sure I got it back. She easily could have not looked the second time. I was so thankful

i‘ve read an article where it says four employees are suspened during investigation and they will compensate him for his lost items, but asked for receipts which he doesnt have for family heirloom and jewelery anymore

I watched TSA people remove articles that exceeded guidelines for carry-on items and instructed passengers to throw them in the waste containers. Afterwards, a pair of the same TSA people dug through the container and removed certain items. That’s one way to get personal stuff for free.
My 84 years old mom traveled with my 87 years old dad from Fort Lauderdale airport. TSA person removed some small liquid . It’s ok . But I gave them airborne tablets, just in case . I am using that medication after my flights . Small bottle disappeared. It’s $8 bottle. Why ? It’s not jewel. Mom told me she saw man with bottle of alcohol. He probably forgot to put it into his luggage . The same TSA refused him to take it on a board. It’s understandable. But next step was very suspicious. Another guy was next to her with backpack. He took that bottle, put it in his backpack and disappeared. It’s like mafia in action.
I said as much to one TSA Agent when she demanded that an unopened jar of face cream (expensive gift from a relative) be left with her. I told her I hope you enjoy it. She just looked at me with a stunned face. People aren’t stupid. We know exactly what they’re doing. And oh yeah, had just buried my dad

As someone who takes daily irreplaceable medication, I am beyond horrified that someone would dump out another person's meds just to be cruel. It doesn't get much lower than this.
I will never understand the absolute disregard-no, that’s outright hostility-for others that some people have! I mean I could even understand - NOT CONDONE - if she had grabbed some cash out of it BUT got the rest of it back to the passenger *especailly* when she saw medications in it, knowing as a airline professional that people need their medications and put them in carry ons to keep it all close by in case it is needed urgently and, ironically enough, to prevent it being stolen by staff searching luggage for weapons, etc. But to display such utter disregard for other’s health and belongings and displaying such flippant hostility to someone is psychotic! All 3 of them participated in this and didn’t lift a finger to do something more human! Why turn the medication upside down and pour it into the trash, assuring that if the person had somehow suddenly come back or sent an urgent message back to the airport or sent a relative perhaps still in/near the airport to retrieve the bag, the medication can no longer be taken as it was *intentionally* disposed of! And some meds can’t be easily refilled, especially narcotics, etc (though one supposes this aberrant lack of morals would have probably kept such meds to sell and/or use herself). What makes people so harsh and filled with hate? I want to know what this scum had to say for herself? How did she answer for her actions? Did she think she was being funny or cool or some other ridiculous bull shite that is all too common in the world (and always has been; we just see it more easily today thanks to technology and communication)? Seriously, I want her put on the stand and made to THINK about what she did and attempt to explain why. I bet she can’t. I bet she descends just to tears saying she don’t know why and -lease forgive her, blah blah, and as soon as she’s out she’s right back to the same shenanigans. People, we have got to be better, not just to people’s faces, but especially when no one’s watching because THAT means it’s coming from the heart, you do good things because that’s who you are, not because you’re afraid of getting into trouble. This is disgusting and sickening. As a lost and found representative myself, I am appalled at the lack of respect they displayed. Just because someone forgets something, doesn’t mean it’s fair game to pick through. On the contrary, the items should be held in a secure area in hopes of finding the owner. That is my entire full time job. I look through the items only to try and find a name, then search our data base to find contact information to reach out to them. Those pull bottles absolutely had the owner’s name. They only had to look through the data base and find him. Shameful disrespect .

When my sister flew to Colorado to visit all of her jewelry was stolen from her suitcase. It was a locked suitcase and was pried open by Airport employees.
Always carry jewelry and medication with you. If the suitcase didn’t have TSA approved lock, that’s probably why they pried it open, the jewelry was just a second thought. We are trusting TSA personnel and I doubt if the majority could pass a decent background check.

As an airline employee with over 35 years working…this is unacceptable and they should all be fired! Anything left by passengers should be brought to lost and found or baggage service with the flight, gate, date info. If you need to look through a bag for a name or ID have a witness with you. The prescription bottle would have his name on it, look up his reservations and send it to him, try to call him his phone number is in the reservations!

What they could have done is to keep the bag and submitted it to the "lost & found section" of the airline or the airport and waited for the owner to claim his clutch bag. Those meds have LABELS indicating the name of the patient & drugstore .... if those employees really want to return the items, there are lots of ways to contact the owner of the lost bag either thru airline manifest (passenger listing in their computer system) or they could have called the drugstore (name & drugstore is in the medicine label). Life is short !!! You are your brothers' keeper !!!

How so? The cost of a lawyer will be more then what you can sue them for. At minimum your looking at 5 grand retainer for a lawyer to take the case. Maybe 10k.
@brianfitch5469 lawyers take cases like this because they know they will win, and they take their fee from the proceeds the person doesn't pay up front. Spirit would settle most likely without even going to court because I mean its obvious they'll lose.

As an ex-airport staff, I usually call security if it’s an unattended bag in the open. Or I’ll just chase after the customer if I see the customer forgetting the bag. But never will we just look into the bag like that. Never.

I was returning home on a Delta airline. I went to the rest room leaving my Louis Vuitton wallet on the sink, it had $600, in it. An African American male flight attendant brought to me as I now back in my seat, he stated excuse me miss, you left this in the bathroom!! I had not even realized it. I was so grateful I handed him $200. He would not take it. With a smile he said it my duty and pleasure to take care of my passengers!! HAT OFF TO THIS WONDERFUL MAN!!!

Nope. Those were the exact same agents he was talking to at the beginning of the clip. She found and hid the bag until all the passengers boarded. They are supposed to turn those bags in and most agents will go on the plane and ask if anyone left a bag at the agent desk. Their actions were disgusting. Having worked at an airport in my youth I'll just say that this happens more than you think. Never check in anything valuable unless you have no choice otherwise take it with you as a carry-on or just leave it at home. You would think you could trust counter and gate agents but they're not always honest as shown. This man deserves more than a refund.
My lady asked me to bring one of her purses on my way to meet her. Instead of putting it in my small backpack, I put the purse in my suitcase hidden deep inside my clothes with a couple hundred dollars inside. When I arrived at the hotel the purse was missing from my suitcase. Big lesson for me

Makes me think of a flight a few years ago where my wife went shopping and all the clothing items that still had tags (returnable items) were stolen. No family heirlooms, but if the employees would blatantly break the law for $80 it makes you wonder what else they'd do.

This is disgusting and sickening. As a lost and found representative myself, I am appalled at the lack of respect they displayed. Just because someone forgets something, doesn’t mean it’s fair game to pick through. On the contrary, the items should be held in a secure area in hopes of finding the owner. That is my entire full time job. I look through the items only to try and find a name, then search our data base to find contact information to reach out to them. Those pull bottles absolutely had the owner’s name. They only had to look through the data base and find him. Shameful disrespect .

When my sister flew to Colorado to visit all of her jewelry was stolen from her suitcase. It was a locked suitcase and was pried open by Airport employees.

Those meds have LABELS indicating the name of the patient & drugstore .... if those employees really want to return the items, there are lots of ways to contact the owner of the lost bag either thru airline manifest (passenger listing in their computer system) or they could have called the drugstore (name & drugstore is in the medicine label). Life is short !!! You are your brothers' keeper !!!

As an ex-airport staff, I usually call security if it’s an unattended bag in the open. Or I’ll just chase after the customer if I see the customer forgetting the bag. But never will we just look into the bag like that. Never.
The only time I look in a bag is for identification to RETURN the bag. This was just appalling to watch. The way they emptied the Medicine and aggressively threw it away was just disgusting

I was returning home on a Delta airline. I went to the rest room leaving my Louis Vuitton wallet on the sink, it had $600, in it. An African American male flight attendant brought to me as I now back in my seat, he stated excuse me miss, you left this in the bathroom!! I had not even realized it. I was so grateful I handed him $200. He would not take it. With a smile he said it my duty and pleasure to take care of my passengers!!

Having worked at an airport in my youth I'll just say that this happens more than you think. Never check in anything valuable unless you have no choice otherwise take it with you as a carry-on or just leave it at home. You would think you could trust counter and gate agents but they're not always honest as shown. This man deserves more than a refund.
Only travel with a backpack. And carry it on the plane. If it doesn't fit, you don't take it.
