Amazing! had all the fragments recorded from Mtv on VHS, sadly lost long ago, great to see and hear this again, from one of my all time favourite albums - Orbvs Terrarvm
Indeed. He was a genius on the desk. I saw them during the Happy Happy joy joy tour in 1995. It was awesome. He was definitely part of "the Orb sound" from that period.
@@_Scintill8tor oh 100% i think. the 90's was when they were really REALLY good: adventures -> cydonia. and in that time if i'm not wrong, that's when first weston then hughes were at the desk. THEY were the orb. not sure how much 'composition' d r a paterson did in that time, so can't comment on that; just painfully obvious that all he did live was to fuck about with the vocal and sound effect samples in the songs. not saying i don't love them and they're not an integral facet of that amazing orb sound but come on, it's not like a REAL job. not like what weston and hughesy did. R.I.P. Andy Hughes you absolute genius and legend.
Andy Hughes was a fucking genius. Devastated when he passed away. Very salient at the minute after just losing my beautiful little sister. She went to see them after Cydonia, but I think the genius Hughesy had already left.
Great live version, every "live" show with Fehlmann was boring at least. Not a fan of what the new guy is doing neither, but this was great, this is imho what an electronic dub band should sound live. Thanks for the upload, greetings from Buenos Aires 👍🙋♂.
@@mickfarren thanks! Hey i have the other track on cassette. And i transferred it to hard drive. So that must be it. I remember recording all they played that night. And i remembered correctly, it was friggin Ray Cokes and mtv's most wanted! 😁

Rest In Peace Andy Hughes
My first orb show was in Tampa FL 1995 probably the best show of my life so far.
Dude, my first was this tour in Dallas. Of course I had little memory, this is GOLD!!!
This is gold. One of my fave Orb tracks too.
What a version👍
saw them live in milan, 1995….what a gig. r.i.p. andy hughes
Saw this tour in Chicago. A truly live changing gig
I've been up close several times, but never this close
fantastic, ray cokes was great on union libre on france 2
hughesy in charge at the wheel on the desk. they couldn't have functioned without him at the time. deserves more credit 😖

Sorry to read about your loss, that's really awful. Look after yourself.

Didn't realise Barry Chuckle was an MTV VJ
The Orb was live on MTV ?!?!
