Hasbro definitely improved on their blocky redesigns of stylised characters since the prime molds. They did Animated Prowl justice, but that being said I'm still holding my enthusiasm until I see how they handle animated Optimus and Bumblebee.
It probably would’ve been impossible without it being panel city But the thing is I REALLY like the new prime stuff while most people don’t feel the characters I do… do I wish they were better? Ehhh kinda but yeah in my opinion Knockout was EXACTLY what I wanted (honestly I’d also like the concept art one that transforms into what looks like a modern Porsche) Also if you look at Prowl’s concept art you’ll see that the G1-Ified helmet wasn’t always there and he looked more like the animated character… But the head looked a little… shall I say W I D E so I’m glad they changed it because it would’ve resulted in an unsettling head sculpt
The helmet grew on me when I realized it makes him look like he's wearing the Samurai Armor helmet, or, more specifically and appropriately, Yoketron's helmet.

The WORST thing is that the bike wheels won't go round if the shurikens are attached, due to the shuriken blades popping out and getting caught in the wheels.
Prowl's Thiccness is not an issue for me tbh, the TFA Lockdown toy imo has it more bad than Prowl like have you seen his hips😬. As for the figure itself, I think it's an exceptional design of what Generations should be. A melting pot that still has it's distinct flavor. Further note, it's nice for newer fans like myself because I love TFA's designs but I couldn't have them because I didn't even knew of their existence until I was an adult lol and while eBay prices aren't bad per say, I'll definitely take Legacy Animated Prowl. With that out of mind, I hope that animated Jazz can get figure because both Prowl and Jazz are my fav characters from TFA.
Legacy Prowl & Skyquake look a lot more recognizable compared to RC, Bulky & KO, captures both the look and the feel of the chara, sadly, Prowl's alt mode be lookin' knobbly, seemingly as a consequence of maintainting the transformation sequence while having a lot more THICCness, those thighs aren't hidden by the wings anymore, on the other hand, face sculpt is good, like what you said, sharper, wider visor might've been nice, and quite glad the gimmicked shuriken were kept, final line, here's to hoping more different designs into the melting pot and truly represent *"Generations"*

@@Gei4Mei that’s because Skyquake is a mix of his TFP design and his design in the 90s. You can tell by the chest and the alt mode that they took inspiration from the old 90s Skyquake
I feel like if you play with the joints a lil bit you can get the bike mode into more of that sleeker low profile stance that he had in the show, but it’ll probably leave you with a lot more gaps🤷🏻♂️
At this rate, none of the Animated characters will come out with their corresponding Gargoyles figures from NECA. Not necessarily a big problem. Last thing I need is to have to decide between Brooklyn and Prowl or Lexington and Bumblebee, but having the two teams face off is a diorama I'm working towards. As for the figure itself, the goal is to be a more accessible alternative than scalpers on Ebay or 3rd party charging 5x-10x the original retail price. Animated's cycle bots (variants of Prowl and Oilslick) were solid figures. I get sizing them up to match the current Generation's scale, but the other changes hardly seemed needed. After Arcee, I don't know if there's enough goodwill to hunt down Prowl. But anything to bring Animated into the fold. Just like Dinobot meeting the other Dinobots, Prowl should hang with the Rescue bots and the Protectobots. Share a cool one with G1 Prowl. Have the Chief chew him out for his lone wolf act and loudly yell 'you're off the case!'.

Five man band is present, but also the voice actors. Jeff Bennet played Prowl and Brooklyn, Bill Faberbakke played Broadway and Bulkhead. When it first aired I expected Ed Asner to be cast as Ratchet. Plus the story of warriors frozen until present day set my gargoyle senses tingling.
The leaks confirm that we’re getting more animated with bumblebee so bullhead can have his friend, but I want lugnut since he hasn’t made it across the franchise
Since my first experience with the mold was the Elite Guard Prowl release, never being able to get the base deco, my experience with the mold is....not great. And because I have no serious need to get the original, I might be willing to overlook the flaws of the bike mode of this one. I like this new take to be honest, mostly because they actually help him fit better to actual ninja-ness than the admittedly theme park idea of ninja that the show runs on: -Thiccer thighs = the bunched up look of the pant sleeves due to their foot wrappings - Normal Deluxe size rather than his tall stature = ninja were NOT supposed to be anything more than the average Japanese man's height. - Blockier helmet = Was not a fan at first till I realized it made him look like he was wearing the Samurai Armor helmet, or, more specifically, Yoketron's helmet! Though Beast Hunters Prowl's head is still the better G1-fied recreation of the Animated design. So, we'll see when mine arrives, and I can sort out how I feel about the original mold vs Legacy
Animated Prowl was my first ever figure when I was but a smol little dumbass kid. 13 years later, my 20 year old dumbass is definitely happy to see him again Shame about the issues in bike mode, but maaaaan the overall package is not looking too shabby
Legacy should be renamed as "normalize" cause the design team seems to hellbent on taking away every single thing that makes these designs distinct by making them "normal".
I find it a little upsetting that his wrists flip out on a pin. Like, if that joint was a ball joint it could flip in and out the same but also have a wrist swivel. But I guess that would've made the back end of the bike a smidge worse and they wouldn't have done it. Otherwise, I'm looking forward to getting one and displaying it riding the old prowl in bike mode.
My favorite part about Legacy Prowl is I can actually fucking afford him and unlike every Legacy Deluxe he isn’t 35 dollars and is actually sold at deluxe price lmao

I hope they abandon the "G1ification" idea in the next Generations trilogy or w/e. I never wanted Animated characters to get G1ified, I just want toys that are better than the old ones. That's all, man.

There are a lot of good toys in the animated line. Blitzwing is definitely one of them. I don't think they would do animated omega supreme but I would like to see some more animated toys
Yeah it’s weird considering the black magic used for all the screen accurate last knight and age of extinction figures so animated figures should be possible though I can recall a 3rd party animated pipes and huffer set (mostly for the Mario and Luigi repaints of those molds)
Should've come with alternate hands gimmick so that we can get both pair of 5mm port hands and shuriken-holding hands for both side of hands. Only having one 5mm port hand is really bad for me because it just diminished the possibility of dual wielding weapons (swords, guns, etc.)
I mean srsly, it's just hands. They have one side for each of it. Just mirror them and use friction pegs for the connection instead of rivet pins (I noticed that the hands are pinned with riveted pins). And talking about the rivet pins, this is also a big problem for 3rd-party upgrade kits because the disassembly would be much harder. Sure, you can solder each side of the pins and then punch it out with a centerpunch, but soldering is an extra work and can damage the plastic really badly if not done properly.
I miss Animated. None of the transformers shows before and after left mark on me. It wasnt perfect show but GOSH was it fun. Nothing will ever replace Animated's original style though.

Can we just stop making every character G1? Its so annoying that we keep making everything the same. The designs arent good, stop making everything a cardboard robot. What they're doing is spitting in the face of every other design, including the artist for animated, and saying G1 is better. They're literally spitting on a dead guy's passion.
I'm just tired of this. Transformers has ten billion and four bulky dude build characters. Can we please just get a properly thin bot? Arcee and Prowl are very unique in their designs for this in their original series
@@Gei4Mei Legacy Bulkhead was actually a very good figure on his own. Great vehicle, great bot mode, great accessories, all the good stuff. Legacy Arcee just didn't have anything great going for her, in either faithfulness or the new G1 style. Still annoyed Crankcase or Bulkhead hasn't been retooled into a Prime Universe Breakdown. Both are so uncomfortably perfect for it, that it baffles me. Imagine Crankcase's truck turning into the Bulkhead Breakdown with the hammer and blocky body. Flawless
I'm not buying this piece of garbage. Hasbro made wonders with Beast Wars and Armada but trash with Animated and Prime. It's so disrespecful to the fanbase, the line, and Derrick Wyatt's designs

Can we just stop making every character G1? Its so annoying that we keep making everything the same. The designs arent good, stop making everything a cardboard robot.
What they're doing is spitting in the face of every other design, including the artist for animated, and saying G1 is better. They're literally spitting on a dead guy's passion.

I'm just tired of this. Transformers has ten billion and four bulky dude build characters. Can we please just get a properly thin bot? Arcee and Prowl are very unique in their designs for this in their original series
I am more okay with Prowl since he would be bulkier as a G1 character. Arcee has no excuse, she doesn’t look like a G1 fembot at all
@@Gei4Mei Legacy Bulkhead was actually a very good figure on his own. Great vehicle, great bot mode, great accessories, all the good stuff. Legacy Arcee just didn't have anything great going for her, in either faithfulness or the new G1 style. Still annoyed Crankcase or Bulkhead hasn't been retooled into a Prime Universe Breakdown. Both are so uncomfortably perfect for it, that it baffles me. Imagine Crankcase's truck turning into the Bulkhead Breakdown with the hammer and blocky body. Flawless
Surprised they haven’t down a Breakdown, but maybe they didn’t wanna over shadow the G1 version
