the speed thing is spot on. if i play a map with 40 njs and a challenge map, then go back over to normal maps, both my swing speed and how much i overswing are pushed much further, allowing me to both read and steadily hit notes that i would not otherwise be able to hit. it also helps alot with the saber wobble that you were talking about.
I need this. Thank you for making this a series!
How to improve on speed maps:

New to the community. Is this just a meme or is there a reason?
@@parfein Not a meme. I own a vive and I'm considering changing for a rift. Today's maps are way too complex and fast for the length of the controllers and weight preventing full swings. Atleast for me and the grip that I use which is the Claw grip. The bottom of the controllers keeps hitting my forearm so I can't do much angle. Right now I've hit a wall where I can't play some of the new ranked maps because of these controllers and my grip. I also can't find any other comfortable grips to use.
If the bottom of the controller hits you hand a lot try holding it at an angle. Might feel weird at first but its much better once you get used to it. Also b / x grip allows you to handle the weight of the controller much better imo. I found claw to put a lot more strain on my wrists
Wow that really helps!! I am doing a big break from Beat Saber Ranked rn and I tried to play a little of the new ranked maps a couple weeks ago but had problems getting my accuracy.

I apsolutly loved this vid but at the end he said he went from acc>score>speed
i belive it should go speed>acc>speed>score
because the initial speed will warm you up , then the acc will get you to get your acc up then the speed will get you blood pumping again then you will feel like the score maps are more like acc maps
That's an interesting perspective! I say acc->score->speed in order to use acc as a warmup for scores. Maybe a good comparison is like warming up before exercising or before an athletic competition. From my experience, if I play maps that make me too tired, I have a hard time being precise enough to get high accuracy. However, if you can play speed maps and still keep high accuracy afterward then that's great! If it works for you, stick with it :).

This is what I’ve started doing to warm up. I alternate between fast maps and acc maps for about 30-45mins then I gradually start to get closer to my personal bests until eventually after about 2.5 hours I can beat all of my PBs from 1-5%. It’s been working quite well for me but unfortunately because of a lot of irl commitments I can’t play as often as I want and because of that I’ve slowly deranked from #100 to #150.
Great idea of this series :) hope so its gonna help me out to improve my ranking and hit top 10 in Poland :)

I use a custom grip for the Rift S, and it has significantly improved my accuracy just because of how much more comfortable I am with the controller. Did take some getting used to though, as I used the CV1 for quite a while.

Oof both my hands have saber wobble even though I swing straight. Why my tracking bad lol. I have also tried multiple grips but none work for me other than basic grip.

Great video, I like it, but my accuracy still sucks, I have tried other grips, but the grips are not comfortable and don't change my accuracy very much, if at all.

I’m having a issue with using a different grip (BK) to where if it’s moving more quickly the tracking gives up.
How do I become able to do wide jumps properly? When I try to swing from side to side really fast my swings become so narrow I just end up waving my saber between the notes and lose. As soon as there's wide side jumps it's like a huge wall for me and I just can't figure out how to beat 'em.
An example would be Heartbeat Overheat. There's some side jumps at 1:17 in that song that look easy but my brain just can't compute.
It could be because you don't use enough wrist when swinging sideways. Especially if your swings are narrow, it probably means your trying to only swing your arm to hit the notes. Swinging with only arm is, at least in my opinion, what lots of people do whenever they start to panic. If I were you I would use either the practice plugin or the in-game practice mode and slow down the song at the parts with horizontal jumps. Then make sure you practice swinging swideways with your wrist and gradually increase the speed over time. Some ranked maps to try might be: Happppy Song, Milk Crown, HeartBeat Overheat (like you mentioned), or the end of Quaver.
@@ssnowy4059 Thanks! I've been trying the slow method a bit before and still struggled but somehow I managed to beat HeartBeat Overheat yesterday anyway. Funny thing is I was busy talking to my friends on discord and didn't focus on the game at all and then I realized I had just passed the wide side jumps with relative ease. I'll definitely try your tip for Milk crown because I'm struggling with that song aswell, especially near the end.
(Looking at the replay I uploaded of my pass on HeartBeat, it does look like I'm just using my wrists I think)

Then assuming you have the playlist loader mod installed (which can be found here: github.com/rithik-b/PlaylistLoaderPlugin/releases/tag/1.1.1 ), the playlist will show up in game under the playlist tab on the bottom. However when you go there, the only maps that will show up under the playlist are the ones that are on the playlist and that you happened to already have downloaded. In order to see all the maps and download them together, you have to install beatlist. This is just the unfortunate situation with playlists atm. With beatlist you can alter any playlists you have or make your own. You can also see all songs on a playlist and download them. Beatlist can be found here: github.com/Alaanor/beatlist/releases

Its a json file. You will want to download and place within your playlist folder.

I‘m playing on an Oculus quest 2 and I‘m Not sure if I want to start sideloading/installing mods cause I know that it‘s against the rules from Facebook…doe‘s someone know how much people got banned for sideloading Or how bannable it is?
You can't get banned for nodding such as bmbf but you can if your cheating but you don't need to worry about that as bmbf disables the in game leader bord

what would classify as an accuracy map
An accuracy map would be any map that is generally slow enough so that you can hit all the notes with full accuracy. It's a subjective definition, but generally these maps have lower speeds and are easier to comprehend. The goal is still to get the highest score possible, but on accuracy maps it's possible to get 96%->99% accuracy, whereas with harder maps that might be practically extremely difficult. So like, the ost songs on hard/normal/easy are acc maps, while the expert+ difficulties generally wouldn't be considered so. Stuff like that :)

How would you translate these tips for PSVR?
Many of these tips are probably transferable to PSVR. For example, if left-handed mode is on PSVR that should still apply. Also play session format and aim/accuracy tips should still apply. As for the practice plugin stuff, you can't change note jump speed (NJS) on PSVR, but you can increase/decrease the speed on PSVR (I think). So if you need help keeping track of fast notes, play stuff that is slightly too fast for you. Over time, your ability to keep track of fast notes will get better, and the songs you were struggling to play previously will be much easier to play.
My tip is: get rid of the psvr and buy a headset with good tracking. Tracking on psvr is a nightmare and makes fast songs unplayable. I stoped playing beatsaber entirely because the tracking was so bad. I recently switched to a valve index for my pc, started playing again and the difference was just mind blowing. Finally beatsaber is fun to play for me again. In addition: graphics are much better. Not necessarily that much on beatsaber, but definitely on triple a games. I remember buying skyrim vr for the psvr and the graphics were terrible.. like an early 2000's game ^^
