I play 5 to 6 hours a day so I try and practice as many difficulty 9 and 10 ball positions as much as possible. I mix it up between drills and racing the ghost without ball in hand. It keeps me honest and humble
For the flat transition, I completely agree the shots you showed need to be practiced, but I believe it is a much higher percentage shot if you stun off the side rail on the 7 to even middle table, then cut the 8 down the rail with low right to go one/two rails in position for the 9. Both of those shots require much less stroke. Yes, the shot itself is a little tougher, but the position is much easier (in my opinion.) I'd love to hear further discussion on this if you have it.

Great! Quite similar to me, I also like to mix up my practice routines. Tournaments and especially losses keep me down to earth
Great stuff. You are a true student of the game. Never stop learning.
Thanks a lot - Play on!

Absolutely! Its personal preference, whatever you feel comfy with! What I wanted to get across is the need for practice portion of it

Thanks a lot David! Appreciate it, means a lot to me!
I would say that one also needs to keep track of the position of the cue ball and how many times you hit your target position after those made shots.
Absolutely! You can/should add whatever goals you consider helpful to you!!
