Wedgemount Lake Hike | WORTH THE GRIND?
Вставка
- Опубліковано 11 лют 2025
- Wedgemount lake trail hiking & camping (and ice cave) video wherein i share why this `INSTAGRAM FAMOUS` hike might just be the BEST hike in Whistler and Vancouver area. It's quite a grind but totally worth it once you make it to the top. I share full tour as it's one of the hardest hikes in Garibaldi provincial park area but totally worth the grind! People often go to Panorama Ridge or Garibaldi Lake and miss out on this gem. But you are not those people. Hope this video inspires you to hike this beautiful lake ;)
I share details on how to get to the trailhead, the parking situation and the FSR road conditions of the wedgemount lake trail as well as what to expect when you are on trail and the hut and washroom and other spots available once you make to the top of the lake. You can also hike to Tupper Lake once you make it to Wedgemount lake, and also hike across the ridge to view the waterfall. Go early to avoid parking lot getting full.

Looks amazing ! Great job on the hike and edit. Any tips , im doing this hike next week!
@@dancedancejaddy it depends on your current level? 😂 if you like hard hikes you’ll be fine. - carry poles as they’ll help on the way down carry shorts and towel to get into the lake haha - it’s not super steep so you’ll be okay have fun!!
@@dancedancejaddy follow as I’ll share more. Videos every week ahah
@better.present appreciate your response and words! I'm an RMT but I have bad knees with my slim build. So I think I will have to do some extra lunges and stairmaster this week at the gym. Also, maybe buy some knee braces. But yes, for sure poles. My experience level with longhikes is minimal to none. I've done Joffres (last week, coming down my knees were feeling it), grouse grind month ago (it was tough, but alhamdulillah I made it), some years ago did Chief, st Mark's, Tunnel bluffs, I guess intermediate? Would you say cramp ons are not necessary? I may bring some advil for the knees if its really bad. Ice plunge will be nice too 😁 any other tips would be appreciated!
@@dancedancejaddy this definitely is longer than those hikes and might be harder on knees on the way back - so take your time and start early to give yourself enough time to get back. :) Its really a lot of elevation gain so only do it if you’re comfortable- considering your knees. The boulders aren’t exposed - so you can take your time coming down but it’s still a long hike and with good elevation gain. Chief is 600 and this is more like 1300
@better.present oh wow double then the Chief.. Good to know! I really want to do while I can while I'm still alive! Thank you again:) I subscribed and followed you on Ig! Have a blessed week!
The trail looks gorgeous and the lake even more! 😊
@@lovleenkochar3317 it’s definitely one of the best lakes out here! Not many people hike up here so it’s more pristine!

@@better.present alright thanks 🙏
