So much more than just the Velorex to marvel at in this video also..completely at a loss for words for most of the tour, simply amazing collection with so much heart and passion in it all.

Logan, I was thinking about you a couple days ago when I first heard the news on Electra Meccanica shutting down all operations of the the SOLO and the new facility in Mesa.... Honestly, I was not only shocked but incredibly sad being I was planning on ordering one shortly. I drove one twice now and for anyone that never did actually test drive one, you have literally know idea how incredibly cool this vehicle really is, your constantly smiling the entire time your driving it... I watched countless video's on people absolutely loving their SOLO and then others (The Haters...) who just pick it apart and find anything possible to complain about, and they've never even seen one let alone driven one... Very sad to listen to people that just don't get it. I've owned many sports cars, motorcycles, and cool toys. I'm extremely picky and this Auto Cycle (SOLO) is easily one of the coolest vehicles I have ever driven period...!!! This is as close to being in a Bond movie you'll ever get. Single Heated seat, roll bar, front and rear crunch zone, side impact reinforced doors, power everything, great looking dash and interior, extremely good torque and pickup for it's size and does 80 MPH no problem...!!! I drove one twice and I was totally sold. Handles like a go cart and yet very stable on the interstate. Amazing how people will complain about it being a single seat vehicle, HELLO...!!! IT'S CALLED A SOLO...!!! It's a commuter for ONE person to get to and from work safely with no emissions, all the comforts of a midsize car and without driving a 40 foot, 6 ton Denali Land Yacht that holds just you and your lunch to work everyday... I could go on and on but instead I'd rather ask you the big question I had about your SOLO. What now....? How will you get the SOLO serviced, will there be parts available in the near future or at all for that matter. I was wondering if Electra made any contact with you about what happened and what to expect....? Again, I am very sad to hear this news.... I really wanted one. I'll watch for your reply, thanks Logan.

Well, after the recall and also the announcement I scheduled my 10,000 mile service successfully with EM and was assured that service would be supplied throughout my ownership as EM has not dissolved and has just switched gears is what I’m told. Releasing a 10,000 mile service video here soon.

@@awwki Wow.... that's awesome to hear. I hope by switching gears they'll be addressing the issues they're having and continue to produce the SOLO. I really want one bad. Hopefully you get some more info on what's going to happen and when. Appreciate your reply and all your videos. Looking forward to the 10,000 mile video and possibly an update on what you know so far. Thanks Logan...

Really disappointed about the announcement... I don't know why this couldn'tve been a smash hit... so little competition at that price point, good enough performance, and electric to boot. But maybe the four-wheeler will be worth the wait.

Also, it is front wheel drive. Because of this, there was no need for a driveshaft to the rear wheels, and this allowed the whole thing to sit lower. Other cool features included airbags on the rear suspension to level it when parked, and an exhaust-powered incinerator for… uh… waste. Not to mention the styling that was (and still is) unlike anything else in the industry.

I never heard of this SOLO car. I heard about Velorex.
About SOLO, it looks absolutely fantastic. What I don't understand is the mentality of people always going for a bigger car. Bigger car for a family, yes. But for people like me, single, no family, no ''luggage'' sort of speak, it's a perfect car. I'm not saying that bigger cars don't look good, it's just my point of view, why having such a car that consumes so much of everything?
To look grandiose? To look rich? To look alpha?
Mostly people live for around 60-80 years. In that period you switch a few cars. I'm 37, no car at the moment(vertigo), before that I had multiple cars and today I ask myself why, for what reason do I need a gigantic car.
So what is the point of my comment, we need to change our mentality. We live in a period of absolute abundance, no natural enemies, top of the food chain. We are forgeting how brittle we are. We just take and grab everything, no matter the consequences. We are developing at a ultra fast pace, so fast that we do not see what we are doing to our only environment, Earth. We need to slow down, not to stop, but to slow down. We are like junky on cocaine going insane.
I've heard many times people saying fuck it you only live once. Get the best out of it for yourself. I don't care for others.
You literally can't get any more selfish by doing that. And by giving chances to these kind of people, we are losing ourselves.
Thank you for the video. Great cars!

Makin' friends everywhere! That little Velorex is great!! If the Solo could "lighten up" a little à la Velorex, in time for the '24 model, it could only help extend its range. Hey, this guy has been researching SOLO & FUV, providing thoughts on the recall, FUV patents, a possible combination:

To the owner of the Velorexes: Please don´t restaure the second Velorex. It´s in a typical condition, how the cars looked like in the communist area. In between this conditions are even in Czech Republic very rare. Nearly all of the Velorexes are restored now. Most people want a shiny new one and have no sense of what stories, wear and tear and repairs can tell. At the moment there´s an campagne running in czech republic, called: "avoids unnecessary restorations" - to save the last few original velorexes. Google: "Kampaň - stop zbytečným renovacím".
