How To Resin A Board Game Table

- It's easy to turn a boring table into something fun and functional - simply mount your favorite game board to the table top and seal it with ArtResin. This method works equally well on either a small side table or a TV tray. You can pick up an inexpensive item from IKEA or a thrift shop or, even better, repurpose something you already own.
UA-cam creator Dan Rodo shows how easy it is to transform a plain, white table into a one-of-a-kind gift for his niece: a Candy Land board game table complete with real candy decorations!

GREAT IDEA!$
Hi, that is lovely idea. Thanks for sharing. Have a good day. Take care.
Love love this idea❤️💡
So awesome to see Dan back on the channel!!!
Also, what a great idea!!!!! Might try this with scrabble in the future. Or as a gift for someone. Right now I'm sticking to smaller items.
Scrabble would be a great one to use. This would be an awesome gift to someone who loves games!
@@Artresin I did have a separate idea about bookmarks and I have no idea how to go about it.
Love to see these sorts of videos.

Hi Dan! I haven't tried to put sprinkles or candy into a resin piece yet. I have a question about the candy - have you ever had the color of candy or sprinkles bleed into the resin? Also, if I wanted to prevent the colors of the candy & sprinkles to not bleed, could you spray a coat of clear sealant on the candy before you put them into the resin?
Hi Dawn, its best to test the candy you choose to use first. Some candy can bleed- if this is the case you should apply a spray sealer first to prevent this. Have fun!
I would coat the whole table top with water based spray top (Krylon, Rustoleum) before resining. Eventually it will bleed and fade. Maybe a UV protecting coating.
Will the resin stop the sweets from going mouldy?
No air so can't go mouldy.
How much would you sell that for? How do you determine your prices?
Pricing your artwork is really dependent on many factors. To give you some more insight on how to determine what to charge for your artwork, have a look at our blog:

What kind of board did you use?
We mounted our board game onto a table top from an Ikea table but you could mount it on a cradled wood canvas or any other table top that you wish to re-purpose for this project.
What would you seal it with?
You can use a sealer that works well with the materials in your project. For paper/cardboard a brush on sealer like Mod Podge works well, or you can use a spray sealer and apply a couple of thin coats for good coverage.
What kind of candy land is that? With a spinner? Isn't candyland with cards?
Hmm, just the regular Candy Land game. Maybe there are two versions?
