The only real way to make money is to majorly undercut and have professional quality. Even then the fees and taxes will hurt you. What about making some animated video that showcases a product? What about making videos look more polished and posting those? You think all Blender can do is complicated high end art that only the extremely talented and highly seasoned can make money with? Forgive me but I'm a bit sceptical.
He also didn't mention that, you can also make money via affiliate marketing if you have a UA-cam channel where you highly recommend the gear & software that you personally use. I'm already doing a course on how to do just that, even though its 3D related but its being to grow your channel on UA-cam & make a living off of it. :)

welp, the only viabale (and even that is questionable) version (work for a studio) for me is off limit due to covid, but i also make a game right now (and a 3d comic) but i don't make any money, good thing my parents allow me to create 24\7

I make more money with Blender even when I don't do anything with it. Not loosing money on license is a great way to start making money because you don't start the year in the negative.
Only reason you hear "Have fun first" is because you can't make money when you don't stand out. Everyone and their AI dog is an artist. And the AI dogs are better.
@@mrpotat680 nobody is born talented, It just comes down to how much effort they put into their craft, it takes years to become a pro at art, and older doesn't always mean better, just depends on when you started getting into it, whether that be in your 30s or as a child

If you can do good work in Blender, you can do good work in any other software. You just have to learn the interface, not the artistic skill.
How to make money on blender?
- create cube after deleting default cube

If you can afford to pay for 3ds max, Maya, Cinema4D or Modo, you had better be making money. Those apps are wayy to expensive for hobby use.
