Fantastic story mate. That was a different time in those days, so cool for them both to catch up all these years later. And well done on donating your own money made, that’s very nice of you man. Top bloke.

Tell them to buy a series Land Rover if they want to knock your Nav😁.
Your car is YOUR choice, and you have to live with the consquince of that choice.
My ride is a Gen 2 Paj V6, I suffer the high cost of fuel abuse.

Luke seems like such a genuinely good guy. From helping a father and son to raising money for his flooded community, he just keeps on keeping on.

    Hi Mate,
Firstly good on you donating to a good cause helping community.
That story is fantastic... small world.
Your spot on, all 4x4s have issues and I know 2 people with a 2013 and a 2014 Hilux that have had to replace the engine due to blowing up and I know one of them services the car religiously before the service was due and had it blow up due to a piston failing.

I’ve not got that kinda memorable stuff with my dad, he was always away at sea when I was a kid. Still I’ve got a 2nd chance to so that with my lad so I’m keen to make some new history for my own family. Cheers Dave

Love watching your videos, and hearing your story about Luke.
You'll love the Cape. We've been up twice with our 3 boys, and planning another trip in October this year. If you get a spare moment, check out the Old Coach Road album on my Facebook page Limmer Adventures. You'll be in your element up there. Make sure if you do OCR, you stay a night on the track... then spend some time at Maytown. Happy camping!!

The Nav does what you want and need so it's a good vehicle. Well done with the donations mate and hope you get a bit to donate. I have family at Wauchope although not in contact so I'm not sure how she is.

Sadly floods are just part and parcel of living on the north coast. This one seemed a little different- relentless coastal rains, as opposed to rain in the hills. I think we kinda got off a bit lightly in some ways. Imagine the 500 mm up in the catchment. Frightening though! Thankfully things are slowly returning to normal -and good on you for donating your revenue $$$ 😎👍

No doubt who his father is. 😁 And good onya for your generosity. Makes me proud to support the channel. Keep it up.

I have a 2016 D23 NP300 Navara. The same comments have been made to me as you have received. Like you I am very happy with the Navara and chose it over other makes after test driving for two hours each Toyota , Ford, Mitsubishi, Foton, Isuzu etc. I deliberately left out the VW because of lack of low range and more importantly their disgusting faking of emissions figures. The Navara has served without problems. It has a modest RAW 4x4 lift, shocks etc and slightly larger diameter tyres, ARB canopy, tow bar ,front bar, centrifugal air filter, dual battery system [my design and construction], fridge etc. It has been to the high country on iconic tracks, has done work in sand dunes on the Eyre peninsula, been driven in the Flinders Ranges and so on... the very mild Cooper ATs are up to 80,000km and the whole car is pristine.
The only thing I do differently to others is to change engine oil every 10,000 Km, service other things more frequently than the book asks and rotate and balance the tyres every 7500Km. It is a very economical car even driven hard with a 50% load.
Like you I was a teacher; I taught Geography and English in secondary school in the UK, Mudgee NSW in the 1970s, Zengeza Zimbabwe as part of an Australian aid project, and several schools in SA. As you probably guess I am retired, over 70, and still enjoying my 4x4 driving and this beautiful country. Even before I had a 4x4 I explored remote areas of Australia and Zimbabwe in ordinary cars.

Tyler just remember the 80/20 rule 80% of people will love , cherish all you do and 20% will hate detest what you do. 80 is far better than 20 so just concentrate on those who are positive and the nay say negative will go away. Keep up the great work and attitude with cars. All cars have issues and if the Toyota were so great why is there a class action against the company RE: DPF function.
