That's awesome man! I am a MTBer (enduro) who also started road cycling not too long ago due to a wrist injury. It was refreshing and its awesome to do both because I think both are complementary to each other.

I picked up a old steel frame bianchi road bike then picked up a trek road bike that is very light. And really fun to ride. Having the road bikes open up a lot of avenues to ride a bike
