These guys don't get enough credit. One of the better bands of the modern era. Been a die-hard metal, hardcore, deathcore, prog metal fan for over 2 decades. Sumerian records has some of the best sounding and quality heavy music. After the burial and Born of osiris are fucking sick. Like the digital delay on the guitar in the breakdown.
This song sounded so good live. Whole album is so high-energy. I love After The Burial for not playing needlessly technical music & actually playing their instruments with feeling. It helps that Anthony Notormasso is one of the most heartfelt lyricists out there and a damned capable metal vocalist/frontman. It seems it's impossible for this band to release anything that is weak.
Wonderful wording about Anthony, so true beyond belief, I thought In Dreams had some of the most deepest most substance composed lyrics ever. Personal favorite of that album, "So this is goodbye but I'm afraid to speak." It's like we are afraid to accept loss.
Listening to this I was thinking how the hell would they do this one live just cause of the precision and the amount of timings that could get easily fucked up but I should have figured they could pull it off.
The sway of distance A suffering march Lives tremble on and on We usher burdens that see us through Blinding light emanates guiding me from within For I am just part of who I was back then Where we were. When this all began Inside this vision I am no longer in control of my own life Sickened by surroundings. Occupied and weak Tangled and desperate I expand I am paper thin. Lines etched and carved from misery Somebody help me please. Because I can never leave this place I am afraid of becoming you I'll deconstruct my self For I am just a part of who I was Where we were. When this all began Something inside me. I cannot fix So we begin again So send me to my grave Lives tremble on and on But we are just a perception of a common theme We are something more I pretend I am better I disconnect Searching and believing That we are something more I pretend I am better I disconnect
Hell yes! I had the pleasure of seeing them play exoplanet 1 2 and 3 live. Fucking incredible man. They were absolutely flawless. It was a very ethereal experience.
From 3:55 until the end is just amazingly beautiful........ Justin you are amazing brotha..... Rip 👍👌🔥 your a legend in the metal world one of the greatest guitarist in this galaxy
For real bro. That part sounds so fucking beautifully optimistic and uplifting. Insane chills even after hearing it for like 100 times. Justin was absolutely magificent. Unfortunately some of the greatest minds are also the most troubled. Rest easy king.
After listening to this album id have to conclude that this is the most pinnacle sounding ATB album out there. Whilst might being less technical overall, they still showcase their technicality in other parts throughout the songs while providing soul through melodies and groovy time signatures. This album is unmatched, and ATB deserves to go down in metal history.
When TRENT HAFDAHL turned down the WBL High-School Goaltending position in Varsity Hockey to spend more time honing his Guitar skills I thought he was crazy. I never imagined it would pay off this well. I always had a feeling Justin would do something big but to see and hear these two together is just amazing.
5:17 one of the sickest guitar loops of all time. i could literally listen to that one loop for 5 minutes straight let alone how this whole song came out!
This song is so beautiful. I love the outro. Listening to this is like taking a bath in honey. It's so sad that Justin died. He will be forever in our hearts. R.I.P. Justin Lowe
Discovered them through a song I heard playing in the background of a lifting video by Eric Bugenhagen (Neo Soul). I've never been a heavy metal guy but this song is fucking fire. I play it all the time at the gym and it's such a journey to listen to while I am going through my sets.
Some of the most epic music is the stuff you discover by accident. I was recommended ATB by a guy I spent one day of work with at an internship. I've not seen the guy more than one day in my life, but he put me on the band that would turn out to be one of my favourites of all time.
Thank you soooo much for uploading this record. Been a die hard ATB fan since Grant and Forging, and this is an immaculate record. Good djob boys. Wrote this one with one hand;)
I mean the acknowledgment of time and space in this song is legit. This is why I love this band. Because it allows my mind to wander, to question what they mean, how I interpret it.
dude this song is fucking badass, one of the best songs i ever heard from this band :D they worked really hard on this album eh? i want to buy it as soon as i can afford to do so

From 4:40 on hits me..like I guess you could say that when that part comes on I disconnect from being both happy and sad at the same time ..like I disconnect from the pass but want to disconnect from the future of what's to come
I just bought the album. fucking right this song is soo awesome, I don't usually like blast beats but it was sooo well used in this song, god damn I love it, this song is my fav off the album so farrrr

that outro is pure bliss
Matthew Ahn Agreed. The outro can only be described as, "beautiful."
Intro and middle too
Edit: the ending is one of the most emotional pieces of music I've ever experienced.
Does anyone get goosebumps with the harmonizing guitars??
@@DAZEY_iz_healing always, sometimes I direclty jump to listen the outro
Goosebumps man, goosebumps
The whole song gives me chills but 4:15 onwards will always give me goosebumps no matter what.

I began my day with it now I'm going to my interview and I'm going to rock the fuck out of it
Dude I love your profile picture :) Probably my favorite album of all time.
Thanks man. Not just the best album, but the best album cover too!
Hell yes! I had the pleasure of seeing them play exoplanet 1 2 and 3 live. Fucking incredible man. They were absolutely flawless. It was a very ethereal experience.
Ben Lindblom Yes The Contortionist is my favorite band and biggest inspiration with Robby's chord use. They deserve more recognition
This is probably one of the greatest songs they have made. Such an amazing song!
From 3:55 until the end is just amazingly beautiful........ Justin you are amazing brotha..... Rip 👍👌🔥 your a legend in the metal world one of the greatest guitarist in this galaxy
That part is so uplifting it's insane
@@alexwenger9655 hell yea bro
The end gives me chills every time. The way they shout the words in the chorus is so powerful. What’s y’all’s take on the lyrics?

I pretend I'm better, I Dis-Con-Nect!
This song never ceases to completely blow my mind every time I hear it.
When TRENT HAFDAHL turned down the WBL High-School Goaltending position in Varsity Hockey to spend more time honing his Guitar skills I thought he was crazy. Trent is a fucking GOD. RIP Justin
some of the most incredible metal music these guys composed mann encased in ice is fucking so sick and this song is just new level
The last two minutes of this song pick you up and take you away.
Man, I always come back here to listen from 3:56 to the end..it give me chills
A band to inspire many more, passing the torch down to generations, giving strength to those who can’t find it
Best song so far on the album. Really digging this!
After almost ten years, I come across this once again ♥
The tone of this outro is absolutely amazing.
That breakdown is gonna get people killed at shows
Alex Hayes rofl yeah
Yeah by a spinning fist or a jump kick LMAO sad face
This is absolutely amazing.
3:35 reminds me so much of Flourish by The Contortionist. Absolutely beautiful.
Flourish is a masterpiece
Every one of their songs feels like a journey....
One of the best outros in the history of metal
5:17 one of the sickest guitar loops of all time. i could literally listen to that one loop for 5 minutes straight let alone how this whole song came out!
Best metal band still together (RIP Chimaira)!!!
3:04 This groove has consumed my soul.
slugerr1993 One of the filthiest grooves ever written
Truly enjoy their creativity. Ty for not submitting to the industry
The beginning. Just...amazing.
Everything about this song makes it one of if not the best they've ever written
Still a masterpiece 2019
am i the only one who feels emotional listening to this? Speaks volumes i can relate.
Evelyn Evans -nope✌🙂🤘
Something about AtB, triggers something very deep within me.
It trips me out.
Absolute masterpiece
The beginning of this song definitely gives me some Cemetery Gates by Pantera vibes. So beautiful and just uuuugghghhhh. So powerful.
Cemetery Gates immediately came to mind when I heard it lol
this album is justice. I am very pleased!
everytime i listen this song it gives me so much courage and strength.
A very good song ! RIP Justin
Truly love this, vocals remind me of Parkway :)
Hahahahahaha clearly not
The melodies in this song hit me very hard
Brad Cardis -me too✌🙂🤘
And their musicianship is stellar.
probably their best song imo
Laurentian ghosts is hard to beat imo
This whole album is a fuc*in MASTERPIECE !

This song is so beautiful. I love the outro. Listening to this is like taking a bath in honey. It's so sad that Justin died. He will be forever in our hearts. R.I.P. Justin Lowe
Buba Jones -a bath in honey would be one trippy experience.
Wolves amongst ravens is the most go all out song I've ever heard. But holy fuck this song holds a very special place in my heart.
Here for that outro in 2020. This song gets even better with age.
the most gorgeous outro in metal, right next to A Vicious Reforming of Features
and a wolf amongst raven. gets me everytime
still one of the best outros ever
7 years later and the outro is still one of the best pieces in metalcore period.
From 4:40 on I want that part to play when my cremated Ashes to be flown into space when I die :,)
Amazing. This album is going to be mind blowimg
Beautiful song.thank u after the burial
Fav off album
HOW DOES THIS NOT HAVE 1 MILLION VIEWS?????
The Outro is so much eargasm
This song and album are simply amazing

These guys write such good music!
Everyone is talking about that outro
But that fuckin intro is pure bliss
Good stuff. Can't wait to hear the rest of the album!
Thank you, After The Burial.
I don't even like metalcore or deathcore much anymore but After the burial is just one of those bands i cant leave behind
What a final ❤️
Best song one the album. And all of em are good
You can kinda hear in the guitar riffs where Justin's mind was when he was writing them. Heavy as fuck yet so fucking somber. RIP JUSTIN....
Jakob Sin it's been 4 years since he left this world RIP😔❤️

I really felt that... this song is freaking amazing!! Hands down.. for sure
"Guiding me from within" is by far my favorite scream/shout in metal ever

Want to congratulate you guys so much on this album, it's totally another amazing unique release, just so sick. damn.
I mean the acknowledgment of time and space in this song is legit. This is why I love this band. Because it allows my mind to wander, to question what they mean, how I interpret it.
Best track on the album, imo. Soooooooo good. These guys put out great music. Sometimes it's better than others but it's all good. Forget the haters.

This track is so masterful it hurts
The sway of distance
A suffering march
Lives tremble on and on
We usher burdens that see us through
Blinding light emanates guiding me from within
For I am just part of who I was back then

Inside this vision I am no longer in control of my own life
Sickened by surroundings, occupied and weak
Tangled and desperate I expand
I am paper thin, lines etched and carved from misery
Somebody help me please, because I can never leave this place
I am afraid of becoming you
I'll deconstruct my self
For I am just a part of who I was
Where we were, when this all began
Something inside me, I cannot fix
So we begin again
So send me to my grave
Lives tremble on and on
But we are just a perception of a common theme
We are something more
I pretend I am better
I disconnect
Searching and believing
That we are something more
I pretend I am better
I disconnect

fav song off the album, fucking unreal guys
One of those songs that calmly reaches down, grabs you by the,........🤔🤘.........
......emotions, lol, then proceeds to pull relentlessly.
3:56 - 5:58
The melody from 4:16 on gives me chills
My favorite song off the new album :3
