I love that there are solo's all over this album, and also that it's so different from what their last two albums. They're proving they're more than techy players with groove and breakdowns. This has soul; they're ever-growing as writers and players, and it's what separates them from the pack. We'll probably never get another "Rareform", but that's okay, because we're getting "Wolves Within."

This band got me into metal and having met them all in person, they are so talented and nice it just blows my mind. When I saw them they did a suicide awareness break in between bands and asked everyone to talk to the people next to them and then proceeded to have the most loving and hardcore mosh pit ever. Metal has evolved beautifully.

"The steak was perfectly cooked, though the grill marks were 2 degrees off and I had a sprig of cilantro that was far too large when compared to the border of the plate, which has a distinguished chip on the rear that reminded me of how broken and lonely my expectations are."

Where have I been? Blaring pacific winds
    Crossing foothills, constructing stories
    Ruptured earth guiding me home
    Romantic fault lines
A bridge's quake in my bones
    A place we called home
    A distance we have learned
Pull me in, and help me out (of this hemisphere)
I want to swim amidst the satellites
Sinking to the bottom I exhale
    Close my eyes- Disengage
    Here, there is no there
Give me (indication) give me (separation)
    With everything seeming pulse-less
Give me (indication) give me (separation)
    I'm drifting into oblivion
And there's no place I'd rather be
    I'm drifting into oblivion
Isolated in black, my thoughts spin
    My worlds divide
    I am lost in space
    Burning up in the atmosphere
When I finally come crashing down
    Wrap my bones inside miracles
A safe place, I am finally home
Pull me in, and help me out (of this hemisphere)
I want to swim amidst the satellites
Sinking to the bottom I exhale
    Close my eyes, disengage
    Here, there is no there
Give me (indication) give me (separation)
    With everything seeming pulse-less
Give me (indication) give me (separation)
    I'm drifting into oblivion
    Now I'm slipping away

Leave it to After the Burial for writing a song in a major key and still being this heavy

+snapapples817 Actually its in C# Octave, they use a 95 gauge string from La bella, they talked about it many times in a few interviews about what tuning it was in. E standard octave doesn't sound nearly that deep. I play D octave on my 8 string with an 80 gauge string. and they are 1 step down from that.

@@Marksman5147 Their first band was Burn the Priest, and I beg to differ about the religious undertones. I think you're reading to much into things that aren't there and stretching to fit your narrative.

This album seriously needs to be re-mixed and re-released. Rareform was actually fine the way it was before the re-recording, so I really wonder what the hell happened here. Either way, solid band, solid tune.

The original vocalist of rareform, Grant Luoma, punched the bassist in the face and got charged with multiple counts of sexual assault. I don't think they'd want him in the band again. lol. I don't care how bad ass a vocalist you are. if you're a douche like that, I wouldn't want you in my band either.
