Glad I found your channel via the recent HackaDay article. I recommended this to our ham club Builders Group that I host recently and will now let them know about the fix in case they've bought one. Jumping over now to the fix video and have subscribed! 73 - Dino KL0S
Yes Joost B (sorry I can't reply directly to your comment, blame Google+!), the AD812 uses a pretty standard dual opamp pin out, so there are lots of pin compatible chips that could possibly be used as replacements. I too was eying the THS3092 though, as it seems pretty ideal as a replacement here, and it is much cheaper than the alternatives!
Excellent video! So can we improve the MHS5200A by replacing the AD812 with a THS3092, for example? It has a much higher slew rate and is 'idealy suited for arbitrary waveform generation' according to the datasheet. It is pin compatible with the AD812. www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/ths3092.pdf
+Bert van Lelieveld Yes, the 8 pin SOIC package. Here is the specific part that I ordered from digikey: www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/texas-instruments/THS3092D/296-18836-5-ND/863669

Thank you so much Sir. I am seeking correct OpAmp for high frequency Amplifier!

Thank you :)
interesting, could you have measured the distortion of the waveform with the DSO? Some have the ability
Yes, most DSO's have an FFT functionality that can be used to observe the harmonic distortion.
