You're clearly a modest person but it's people like you that demonstrate the very best aspects of the internet and social media: an excellent musician providing first class guitar lessons for free. I mean, what more could you want? It was through this channel that I was able to learn one of my all time favourite songs, Gimme Danger by The Stooges. Thanks very much for all the effort and time you put into these videos and congratulations on 100k subscribers.
Adrian thing is those that have 500k subscribers teach songs like baa baa black sheep. You teach real top quality tunes that take real practice that 95% of those 500k subs wouldn't stick with. If anyone can play guitar they will know that you are hands down one of the very best guitar tutors on UA-cam. Congrats on 100k and it will grow as you are class. Thanks for all your fab lessons mate
If you did more 'popular' songs then the subscriber count would be higher, but i for one am glad that someone is doing decent music that i and many others enjoy.
Congrats Adrian. I can't understand why you're not more popular as you're the best tutor on here as far as I can find. My playing has improved because of you.
Your videos are always the highlight of my day. When it drops I can't wait to get home, plug in the guitar and have a bash at the songs. Congrats and keep on doing what you're doing!
Congrats Adrian. Not everyone has to be at the pinnacle of subscribers / views etc. Your humble, independent, quirky and off-beat style makes your channel special and valuable.
Having fewer subscribers than some others is no indicator or quality. Your lessons are a gift: consistent, interesting and instructive. You’re teaching the stuff all us weirdos want to learn instead of the stuff we can find on a dozen other channels. Thanks for being you!
Congrats Adrian. For me your success comes down to your fantastic ability and your supreme music taste. You share and teach songs from a realm of Indie/Post Punk that is nearly always ignored within a guitar culture that's dominated by metal and classic rock. Keep up the great work and highlighting some fantastic artists and songs!
You'll get your million, I have no doubt whatsoever. Your quality is consistently high, you're an excellent musician and teacher. Just keep on being you.
Congratulations on your 100k subscribers Adrian! You deserved it, because of your dedication, excellent choice of songs, and great teaching. Your channel is the channel to learn alternative rock on youtube, your videos are regular and you give enough basic informations about a song, leaving a space for improvisation, instead of just note-to-note teaching. I believe that those qualities are reasons why all of us are hardly waiting Friday for your updates. Keep doing a great work, your students will always support you. Also, i hope i will see Echo and the Bunnymen lesson on your channel, maybe Show of strength, or something else. :) And sorry for possible grammar mistakes. Greetings from Serbia.
I've loved these videos and your quiet, calm delivery, you are an excellent broadcaster. No ego to boot - how rare and fantastic. Adrian, whether you like it or not, you're a bit of a legend. I like the 'it's been brought to my attention I have 100,000 subs" Legend...................Congratulations
Hey Adrian, Thanks for all the Vids. It's good to know that 100K people are learning good music from a great teacher. You're Gimmie Danger tutorial brought me here but I stuck around after looking through your catalog of other tutorials you've done. You're a great teacher with impeccable taste in music.
Congratulations Adrian from your legions of Irish fans (well, I know at least four). It's the smallest surprise in the world that you've become so popular. Something to do with being the best.
Great songs by great artists.. Congratulations on reaching 100k subscriptions Adrian you're a great teacher. Doing it your own way has given us all some great lessons. Thankyou.
Adrian before I found your channel I was stuck in a rut, wandering the wasteland of guitar covers masquerading as tutorials. You are an absolute legend and I hope you pioneer actual honest to god guitar music getting taught across UA-cam. Just for your Charming Man lesson alone, you should be knighted. Keep up the class work man. X
Just seeing this now, but well deserved CONGRATS!! Never feel bad about being a "You Tuber" your channel is a credit to the whole operation, keep up the great work!!
I appreciate what you say. Do it on your own terms, whatever you feel like doing. Not a big social media strategy. Just keep putting out great content. We appreciate you, Adrian!
CONGRATULATIONS !!! you cover great punk/post punk songs -not really covered by the rest, Joy Division and Magazine for example. Not the cliched blues stuff (Dad rock?) that everyone else covers, it is this that really attracted me to your site. Thanks for all your lessons and your stripped down approach that is not gear related and more focused on the actual playing of the song .
You so deserve this, Adrian, and yes, it was on your own terms, and that's why we love you. In the end, earnestness, generosity, and personality are far more powerful than any strategy for personal gain. Thank you so much for all the amazing amazing lessons.
Congrats Adrian; not just the best, but feel a certain connection with old guys like me, with your references to same indie music history, just hit the right songs to teach and somehow always at the right time, even a Nth London base makes your channel local in a way despite the brilliant 100k ‘global’ milestone
Adrian congratulations, you're a wonderful teacher, you have a great approach and teaching style, and I love that you teach songs that are off the beaten path and aren't all just classic rock that everyone else does, thanks from Boston and keep the videos coming 👍
Congratulations on growing your following Adrian. I'd like to echo all the positive comments made below. The videos are excellent but more importantly there's a human being making them with empathy for the audience, passion for the positive outcomes learning an instrument can generate and a massive Johnny Marr fan. This Charming Man is something I learned from the channel and I'll be eternally grateful. Good luck getting to 200k followers.
Thank you Adrian for the work you put into this. In my opinion you’re in the top three amongst the thousands of lesson givers. I hope to keep seeing your videos.
Congratulations Adrian, and thanks for everything you share with us. I agree 100% with you, PASSION and ATTITUDE are the two words that make a difference between art and anything else. In every video you show us that you are not only a great guitar player, but also a great person. As a non-native (and ongoing learner) of English, I also enjoy listening to that clear accent of yours, an extra lesson for me 😁
I hope people will continue to join you on Patreon! There are lots of excellent tabs, Guitar Pro files and discussions over there, and it keeps the great lessons coming.
CONGRATULATIONS Adrian! This is an achievement! I discovered your channel a few years ago when I was looking for some punk/ edgy/ alternative/ indie lesson that I couldn't find, and I found a gold mine! You are outstanding in the accuracy of your lessons, all the subtleties that do make a difference are pinpointed. Also, I find it remarkable how well you can reproduce the tone of so many different styles/ guitarists. This is my personal weak spot: one can play Johnny Thunders like Johnny, but if the tone is a-la AC/DC it will not sound like Johnny! We know how many haters are out there, so my advise is just to ignore criticism, such as "too much talking" "there are no tabs". The talking you do is pleasant and to the point, and without tabs one actually learns better, I find. This is getting long. Well done and keep rocking!
Congratulation Adrian, keep on as you are, there are plenty of channels that would show me stuff I don't want to play but yours has the Stooges, Only Ones , every one a winner. Thank you ;0)
Congrats! You deserve the subscribers. Loved your view on the fact that there is no right way to play guitar and how it should be how the player wants.
Adrian, what i love about your channel is that you keep teaching really interesting alternative songs compared to other mainstream youtuber! Keep the good work going and I am sure you ll hit 1M subscriber at some point! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
Many congratulations and many thanks. You are a great teacher with superb taste and you seem a genuinely nice guy. Highlights so far have been Swamp Thing (never thought I would see a guitar lesson on that song) and Spellbound. You are the only person on UA-cam that can play it and show other people how to play it.
Congratulations and well deserved (you deserve far more to be honest). The place to come for lessons to things you never expected to find a lesson for. Just to note, that plastic cat is making the internationally recognised sign for “wanker” behind your back.
Hey, Adrian...congratulations on your 100k! So glad I found your channel when I did, about a year after you started it. You are a breath of fresh air on this here UA-cam universe! I've learned SO much from you, and can't thank you enough for all you do for us (especially older hacks)! Cheers, mate! :)
Happy 100K! I bookmarked loads of guitar sites when I started learning, I ended up only ever looking at two of them regularly, and yours is my favorite. I loved your introductory words here, about doing it your own way, and how weird this all is, and about how feel is what matters when we're playing. But you don't slack on teaching great technique either. Wonderful channel.
Congrats on the 100k milestone Adrian. If anything your channel along with your philosophy and approach to guitar playing and teaching deserves a much higher number of subs. Very well done and do please keep up the great content. Oh... and thanks for what I’ve learned from you so far. 👍
Delighted for you, it’s a true achievement. You’re a good guy and a great guitar player/teacher. Thanks for all the videos, as always, I look forward to the next one.

Agreed, Brilliant
I’ll third that!
I agree, though I think you're being a little harsh on baa baa black sheep.
2/10
Most of it was fine, but you missed the part of the song where you scream and jump into a pool
lol
Haha yes. In the unlikely event I ever get to a million subs, maybe I'll redo the lesson on location at a swimming pool, and dive in at the end!
XD
@@acpg I will hold you to that
If you did more 'popular' songs then the subscriber count would be higher, but i for one am glad that someone is doing decent music that i and many others enjoy.
Amen!!
Well done. Adrian comes across as the guy you want to chat about guitars to in the pub over a few pints.
Congrats Adrian. I can't understand why you're not more popular as you're the best tutor on here as far as I can find. My playing has improved because of you.
4:16 lesson starts here.

That Mustang sounds absolutely amazing!
I knew your name was a reference to Radiohead!

I was into Adrian before he became mainstream......
But seriously, 100,000 followers is something to be proud of, congratulations!
Congratulations on your 100k subscribers Adrian!

If you are in a Radiohead mood, I would love to see how to play the arpeggios that Ed O’Brien does on Let Down or Subterranean Homesick Alien.
Great songs by great artists.. Congratulations on reaching 100k subscriptions Adrian you're a great teacher.
Doing it your own way has given us all some great lessons. Thankyou.

Congratulations on the channel success. Deserved.
Of the guitar teachers on UA-cam you are the best at teaching actual licks and in doing so you teach concepts which are easy to apply elsewhere.
You seem to be a very genuine and humble guy. Congratulations and keep up the good work your videos are tremendous!!
Just seeing this now, but well deserved CONGRATS!! Never feel bad about being a "You Tuber" your channel is a credit to the whole operation, keep up the great work!!
One of my favorite teachers! Thank you so much. Glad you’re succeeding
