What you were saying about Wild initially being a mode to try out nostalgia decks that eventually just became everyone playing broken decks is exactly why I'm so heartbroken Twist ended up getting fumbled super hard. Was such a good opportunity to finally be able to re-experience older formats but they just absolutely failed that mode.
@@Cuestrupaster Cope and rose-tinted glasses. Classic was fun to play for like two days. Honestly, even the worst twist modes were better than classic.

I mean just go into non-ranked wild, it has a lot of fun players. But if you wanna climb the ladder and then complain people are using meta decks to climb aswel thats just ignorant. Its a competitive mode, ofc people are gonna play competitively.
It's kind of euphoric to see rarran experience almost what i did in my climb to legend. Last month i returned after 5 years to get wild and cross off that bucket list item. I had zero standard cards so i had to run a wild deck. The push to diamond was easy. In 2 days after season reset I made it. Diamond 5 to legend though... it was pure pain. The same aggro priest, rogue, and shaman deck over and over. Coin flip of who could draw better. I had a combo druid deck that i modified against aggro, but the power level at high ranks + season start was absurd. Four straight evenings of pain and tilting later, after going from diamond 2 back to 5, crawling back to 1 and dropping to 5 etc etc i made it to legend and will never touch it again.
I'm in the same boat. Came back about a month before Perils launched and decided to hit Legend in Wild. Used Mecha'Thun Warrior. Now I just play Wild if I wanna play Exodia decks or weird shit like Hostage Mage or Mill Druid.
19:28 The boss music kicking in here feels so right The opponent is like an elden dlc boss doing its thing over and over whithout giving you a chance until you die
Exactly, before turn 5 he was in first phase, but when his hp dropped he entered the second one, and the first move he made was an insta-kill combo with 15 strikes
I recently started playing mill warlock in wild and have had surprisingly good success. Turns out the higher volume of crazy cards means you have a higher likelihood of milling something good
The funniest part is when you have a kinda bad deck with mill and mill one key card of your opponent's strategy. I've won matches purely off of their tilt at getting Reno or Antonidas milled even though their deck probably still could beat mine.
Like I said in the last video, the idea of playing only one deck for over a hundred and twenty games straight because it's a "Meta Deck" Seems maddenning.
Now do it in Masochist style. (like Cimoos Master Duel Masochist) You arent allowed to open any packs / use any free cards given at the start or from the rewards track. Hey Rarran, I have a video idea if you're interested. Hearthstone, but it's Uno. Every time you play a card, it has to match either the mana cost or the rarity of the last card played.
Gotta thank you a bit. Your free-to-play legend videos have inspired me to start playing Hearthstone again, confident that I can get Legend by playing free, and it just being a matter of how good I'm at Hearthstone. So I built a slightly suboptimal Flood Paladin deck and a Sludge Warlock deck and actually hit Legend in Standard (EU)! My MMR seems to still be crappy tho but I guess I just have to play more and also craft the best versions of the next meta decks
Holy cow I couldn't figure out how to unlock wild cards either and I felt so dumb. I get that it really streamlines the menus to exclude wild, but it genuinely gaslit me for at least 10 minutes on a new account. It's really nice to see someone else having trouble with it too
As a wild only player who gets legend every season: wild is much easier and cheaper than standard over the long run. The decks don't change as much (Pirate rogue has been a meta deck for at least two years), you get to keep your cards and they don't rotate, and aggro is very common, and aggro tends to be cheaper than control overall. Also, every deck is so stupidly powerful that with enough luck and persistence, anyone can get legend (I myself never could get legend in standard, and getting very close after multiple seasons is why I shifted to wild, and got legend every season since then)
One thing about hearthstone l have always loved is how free to play / new player friendly the game as well as free stuff the game gives so you don’t have spend money on the game if you don’t want to and still compete
Seeing these challenges makes me understand that you can be f2p just not a collector because when your both some of these challenges get a bit harder plus even taking these challenges even further like trying to hit legend back to back when the meta game changes as a f2p as well. Good job! If you’re interested in another idea distant coder was doing something where he tries to hit the highest rank in yugioh and chat bans cards after each win. Could be a neat idea but I don’t know if it’s the best for hearthstone.
I’ve actually done this, I played Even Paladin and Highlander Dragon Druid (before both those decks were nerfed in recent months). I don’t buy packs, although I’ve been around long enough that I have a hefty collection.
i'm a f2p player who came back to the game a month ago and i'm already climbing legend in standard/wild. in wild i'm using a naga otk priest deck i created, sometimes i'll have eydis for spice, but typically the gameplan is build huge minions on turn 1-4 and slowly gather the pieces for the otk or just win with board presence alone. it unfortunately gets absolutely fucked by the rogue bullshit "each card added to your hand" and "each card drawn" with breakdance. priests only access to control over that is lightbomb, really, and rogue plays 2 8/8s and 2 3/6s by turn 4 usually. i'd love to see your reaction to naga priest!
I recently started playing HS again (thanks to your vids) and found myself playing wild, been on kingsbane and kinda regret not going for miracle that deck looks lit
I hate that Wild is being shown in such a bad light here. I play a silly memey value control Shaman deck with Command the Elements and I regularly beat Pirate and Miracle rogues, Aggro Priests and various Druid decks. The only time I'm losing and I feel like I couldn't do anything is against Demon Seed Warlock, because there's not really a way to interact with them finishing the quest. I regularly hit Plat with little effort, and I can get to Legend when I have the time and motivation I think with 10 years of cards in the format, the cards to counter the meta exist. It's just up to the people to actually play it
An idea for a challange, get a nuber randomizer from 1 to 10 for each card roll the number for its cost then randomize numbers from 1 to 28 for an expansion. So roll 3 cost and 24 pick any 3 cost card form TITANS.
I know you're tired man, but your presence and content is way better than most of us could ask for. So I'm just here to say keep it up and don't lose hope!
It feels a bit weird to complain about how many cards you play in wild after picking miracle rouge. Your games dont have to be decided on your opening hand, that's honestly a decision
Well, they can be decided by your opponents hand instead.Other than priest with perfect hand, no feck can really win against a highroll with pack miracle rogue (best I had was 4 giants and one gnoll on turn fucking two)
@@matikkkii3482 iceblocks, cheap boardclears like we saw in the Video with Paladin or plague of flames etc. I played up to 1,1k legend in wild this season and the Deck is not soooo common that it's one of the Decks i dislike the most. I just got this idea but maybe they can clean the wild format by limiting the number of expansions that can be used to build a wild deck. The Death Knight class has runes, Legends of Runeterra allows you to choose up to two regions... why not limit the wild decks to the same number of expansions present in the standard format or even less than that? Do you think this is a good idea?
a couple months ago I was not feeling playing standard and decided to get legend in wild. Just played demonseed warlock with around a 85% wr before diamond 5 and around 70-65% after getting legend since d5-legend was so close to 50-50 . diamond 5 to legend was mostly who highrolled the most + a bit of skil lol.
It seems like Standard is approaching the Wild gameplay more and more with each expansion. Why separate the modes at that point, if the play experience is almost the same?
To play standard you need to pump huge amounts of money. For a player who returned to the game after some years Wild can be simply the only viable option. Tbh current standard is absolutely deranged bullshit too. The power creep has gone way too far already.

It is true, that there is less diversity, the higher you climb. I play in high gold/low platinum and at that level, the meta is loose enaugh that you can play really fun decks and diverse decks. That is the reason why I love wild.
It makes sense to be a faster climb overall, the decks are way cheaper and way more stupid Once I did a 14 cards turn 3 with garrote rogue, of course my oponent didn't enjoy it
creating new hs accounts is actually super fun, unironically. sometimes i'll make 4 or 5 in a row just to see which new account randomly gets busted legendaries and then I'll play on that account for a couple weeks before eventually deleting them all. I still have my main account of course, but the dopamine rush of opening hundreds of cards for free can't be beaten. :D
I just recently got back into the game and first deck I made for wild was Pirate Rogue and it’s been really fun to use. I am only sitting around Silver 7 but I haven’t played to much to push yet. Standard though I’m still undecided but Pirate Demon Hunter with the new set looks fun
I'd say Odin war is one of the best decks right now. But not the control version, the most agressive ones with new Jepetto. U can kill your opponent on his 7th mana with 100-200 damage (that's how the most lucky I got, sure can be done sonner). In average it's about 10-11th turn lethal. U have insane cleaners, u have 500+ armor. It's absolutely unpopular deck, but because of heroic brawl, people get to know about it now, so maybe meta can change a bit.
@@warlock-nk7vq I'm pretty sure u have no idea what I'm talking about. Aggressive version with Jepetto. I hit legend with 80% wr and now have pretty decent 60-70% (I changed version, so not sure how high it is right now from both versions). Meta decks in Wild: priest, rogue, warlock. Against these deck, u have almost 100% wr. Only unmeta decks can beat u, or bad luck, of course. And as I said, just a few know about it. That's why it's quite difficult to find the right version, and why it has no statistic at all. On HSreplay u see statistic of another warrior, it's a really bad one. AAEBAeP5Awyz/AKT0APlsASMtwSs0QW00QWl9gWcngafngaOvwbJwQb6yQYJ1ASktgP5jAT6jASO1ASPlQXwzQWh+wXzygYAAA== Agressive one. More difficult, but more stable against slow combo decks. I wanned to put there Mecha C'thun, but 1600, nahn. (in case, they do smt with my Odin) Original version was with shield slam. Actually, Marin already won me games. U can copy Picture of Fizzle, shuffle it with murlock and have an insane value with 16-19 mana and dozens of legendaries + 500+ armor which will help u to survive pretty much anything.
And u just wait for legendaries as Boom Boss, 6 mana 8/8 burn 5 cards from opponent's deck, Helia and so on. I know it's Wild, but 80 legendaries, that's a good chance of finding one of those.
@@ASUS234UA trust me I play wild with 11stars, odyn warrior is not as good in high legend, it can lose to many things with tier 1 decks, yes it can highroll with much armor and it was being most played in the brawl but remember that brawl is not what high legend in wild is, in high legend people know what you the famous decks are, I farmed 12-2 with reno druid in the brawl because I run platebreaker in my etc, I played odyn warrior in the brawl and went 4-3 with it if you don't have the nutty hand, in ladder it can lose to many things such as otk mage, reno shaman, innerfire priest, reno paladin, tog druid, and more decks that are tier1-2, if you have a high winrate with it because your playing with less stars maybe that ques into people that don't play the best meta decks, I have tog druid in my other server that it 51-13 to legend because I'm low in stars that wont put me with the top players who are playing the broken decks, but overall odyn warrior is good if you don't que into your worst matchups just as tog druid that does not have any worst match up unless its agroo with the best hand since you can tog on 3
@@warlock-nk7vq Mate, trust me) Let's say this, I know what top 1 is) And I almost got 12 in brawl on this deck, but it was the first run, I didn't know the meta, so technical cards against warriors in mirrors got me (every single other ones were easy). If I went second time, it'll sure be 12. I just already have all cards (about 10 missing) from last expansion, so what's the point taking a risk. If you're so bad on this deck, it's a skill issue, no offense. It's a super stable deck with no luck at all. Got lucky can only your opponents. And druid doesn't play high legend now, idk what u're talking about. Maybe u from America server and there is another meta for some reason. I meet druid once in 30+ games. I LOVE druid, I play it all the time in Wild and go to Wild for Reno or mill Druid. But it's bad for high leg currently.

Couldn’t watch a single second of gameplay, I was staring at Rarrans “Hallowasted” shirt half the time.
You should do No Crafting F2P Wild Legend, and Sealed Only Wild Legend F2P next
Watching how many free cars youre getting on a brand new account is just insane....
creating new hs accounts is actually super fun, unironically. sometimes i'll make 4 or 5 in a row just to see which new account randomly gets busted legendaries and then I'll play on that account for a couple weeks before eventually deleting them all.
Happy Birthday Rarran pookie
If at any point you're looking for a new title to try for this vid, 'new account to wild legend in x hours' might be worth a try.
Happy Birthday!!!
18:44 hey, i became content creation
Happy Birthday!
those ketchup packs seem crazy
ah yes, my daily experience playing hearthstone, except i fuck around playing big spell mage lol
It's absolutely unpopular deck, but because of heroic brawl, people get to know about it now, so maybe meta can change a bit.
odyn is a tier 3 deck in wild its really bad

Agressive one. More difficult, but more stable against slow combo decks.

Renatal version. E.T.C. is my fun. I wanned to put there Mecha C'thun, but 1600, nahn.
(in case, they do smt with my Odin)
Original version was with shield slam.
@@ASUS234UA trust me I play wild with 11stars, odyn warrior is not as good in high legend, it can lose to many things with tier 1 decks, yes it can highroll with much armor and it was being most played in the brawl but remember that brawl is not what high legend in wild is, in high legend people know what you the famous decks are, I farmed 12-2 with reno druid in the brawl because I run platebreaker in my etc, I played odyn warrior in the brawl and went 4-3 with it if you don't have the nutty hand, in ladder it can lose to many things such as otk mage, reno shaman, innerfire priest, reno paladin, tog druid, and more decks that are tier1-2, if you have a high winrate with it because your playing with less stars maybe that ques into people that don't play the best meta decks, I have tog druid in my other server that it 51-13 to legend because I'm low in stars that wont put me with the top players who are playing the broken decks, but overall odyn warrior is good if you don't que into your worst matchups just as tog druid that does not have any worst match up unless its agroo with the best hand since you can tog on 3
@@warlock-nk7vq Mate, trust me)
Let's say this, I know what top 1 is)
And I almost got 12 in brawl on this deck, but it was the first run, I didn't know the meta, so technical cards against warriors in mirrors got me (every single other ones were easy).
Whats the name of the song in 30:45 ???
