    It looks like the medic went left and fire went right out of the station- is that right or was it two different calls? I've seen where L or R will get you to the same place, just different approaches.

      So it was cut out but we had a second call after we got the call for the crash Station 30 (where the video starts) was closest to the medical alarm so medic 30 went to that instead of the crash. Station 32 got the crash and was closest to that instead of the alarm so they went to the crash with Medic 32 and called Station 31 for Medic 31 to go to the crash since 30 was busy at the alarm.

      Das hängt vielleicht mit den Gegebenheiten der Straße oder ähnlichem zusammen. Schauen Sie NYFD, die fahren oftmals unterschiedliche Wege zum Einsatzort.

    I can see why you guys flew to this call. Thankfully everyone was out when you got there (I heard the radio chatter in the first minute or so). Also thankful people got out of the way, made getting there a hell of alot easier, no doubt.

      @@rapman5363 Yeah, they flew. Speeds along most of that route is probably 30-35 MPH, and they were easily doing 55 or 60 MPH. Thats flying, in traditional first response parlance.

    • @brycenprasky2786
      @brycenprasky2786  2 роки тому +3

      The crash itself wasn't that bad, the people in the rolled over car were out when we arrived. I wasn't paying attention to the radio traffic but in the first 45 seconds or so the dispatcher said PD was on scene working on getting them out and when Medic 32 arrived they said they were out when they got on scene.

      The responding truck you see is our town's rescue, Rescue 30, we have 3 stations. One of the other stations was a couple streets behind the crash, they had their medic on scene as we left the station. The other stations had their medic on scene a minute after we got on scene. This response was to a corner of our jurisdiction

    I don't think I've ever seen a response video where almost every car is stopped where they are even if they're 2-3 lanes over on the other side of the road. Now that's a perfect example of yielding to an emergency vehicle. Simply moving over is not enough, I've seen it many times where cars will move over but still be moving when the apparatus needs to make a turn.

  • @williamfenner9915

    I think that they should have a bigger air compressor. So the low air pressure warning chime doesn't have to go on with the air horn.

    • @brycenprasky2786
      @brycenprasky2786  2 роки тому +2

      The beeps are the system warnings, Check engine light, Seatbelt warning, etc. That particular day they were acting up and would go off for no reason

    Is seems like the fire engine/rescue truck gets a lot more respect than the squad cars do!! I guess it’s bigger so they see it coming from further away and most cars and SUV’s are going to lose if they get in the way. 😆

      I feel like some of it is that you don't typically see a huge fire truck quite as much as police or even an ambulance, at least in my experience. I think it just gives the impression of a more severe emergency.

      Exactly why we have 3 stations in different parts of town. Since we have such a diverse town with it going from highway to suburbs and back we have 2 stations 31 which is in one corner of town The other (32) was a couple streets over from the crash you can hear them say their on scene as soon as our rescue pulls out of the station. Which is why we have 3 stations especially with our high density roads. 30 is our "main" station with it having the most calls on a daily basis.

      @@brycenprasky2786 I thought so. I caught a couple of glimpses of the street signs as they rolled to the accident. I used to be a firefighter/paramedic for a small township in northern Ohio and got used to looking out the front window as we rolled out. What drove me to ask was the state trooper car on scene. As far as I know ohio is the only state that has silver grey cars.
