The receiver that caught the ball, is the reason everyone though Manzel was a pro QB...it was EVANS, MIKE...Who was a man among boys, with a wing spread two defenders couldn't cover.
He threw the ball up for grabs and his receiver caught it. It could have easily been intercepted.

It only worked in college as many people predicted. As soon as got to the NFL and faced defenses that were full of talent his signature run around and throw it in the air didn't work anymore. Going up against defensive ends that are twice your size yet run just as fast and your receivers going up against corners and safeties that don't come off their assigned target meant his elusiveness wasn't effective anymore and his throwing just lead to interceptions.
