It does not work. Do not build this! Since 1.18 or so the spawn rates in oceans suck ass

This tutorial is waste time, mislead. It doesn't that efficiency as the video show. If you only AFK for like 10-15 minutes then you didn't get that much Drowned, and even if you kill that much Drowned you're not guarantee get Trident (not like you can get 2 trident that easy), it might take few hours run back and forth many times to kill Drowneds to get one. AFK for like 10 minutes and "bum", level from 7 jump to level 23, what a joke.
Also if you're that bad then no need pretend like you're build in survival, just do it as creative to avoid unnecessary misclick and waste time watching you clean the mess (like clearing the obsidian, why? Just broke the portal and leave the remain obsidians there, it doesn't effect anything).
bro i tested on 1.20.4 in optifine it worked then like you guys said it is not working that much efficiently so i made another i accept that there is my mistake sorry for inconvenience and another i just cuted sone part because the creeper blown near the killing chamber so i again did the afk
so go and watch another drowned farm i have made thanks

Why doesnt it work? I went afk for an hour and none were in the nether at the hoppers, I made sure the portals were linked aswell
bro once see the full video and follow the all steps like i said go at certain height if you more drown zombies will not spawn
