Re potting my Ginkgo biloba tree for the first time. I planted it from a seed. And did some small pruning on the roots to create the tree with a good Nebari from the start.

let me know what you think
Hard to find a video of someone actually doing this from the seed, beautiful tree.
@@justinbrantley2603 Thank you so much ! 😀👍
You're welcome fellow tree hugger 😎 Did you soak the seeds in water for 24 hours? Or sand them down? Just wet paper towel trick? I liked the leaves on this tree a lot so I ordered seeds, however it came with no preparation instructions.
@@justinbrantley2603 I soaked them 24 hours before i put them in paper towel and plastic bag. But only 1 out of 5 germinated. think the seeds was bad.
Yes the leafs are fantastic i think 😀👍
Thank you for your input ✌️👍

That little tree looks great! Just collected some ginkgo fruit, wondering how to sprout it? Does it need stratify?
Thank you 😁👍 no don't need stratification. I put them about half centimeter down so they keep moist but in well drained soil so not to wet 😁. Please let me know if you grow them. And send some pictures of the results 😁🙏👌
@@TreeVibes 😁👍Thank you! How long does it take for them to sprout? Cant wait to see it coming haha. Do I need to keep watering the soil to make it wet?
Yea they are beautiful plants. It took about 3 - 4 weeks for me. And I always put them in a tray and water from under, and when they have suck up all the water they can I remove excess water from the tray so they are not wet. And how much water they use depends on how warm your grow "area" is 😊
how's the tree now? I also started ginkgo young tree this year, hope to learn more about how to care for it !
It's alive and well. It have grown about 30 cm this year 😁👍 will do a update video on it soon. So please subscribe and hit that notification bell to see new videos😁
That's a nice little ginkgo. I wonder how old it is?
😁It's alsmots 2 years old
@@TreeVibes - Thanks for informing! I have a couple ginkgo seeds sprouting up now... it's gonna be a long while for them to get big!
Yes it will take a while but they will be so beautiful trees 😁👍 don't forget to subscribe and follow the process
@@TreeVibes - Subscribed! They are beautiful trees... I got interested in them because in the Niagara Region of Canada (also home to the famous waterfall...) there are lots of Ginkgo... even one that must be over 200+ years... I got seeds from one of them last autumn.
If have been there and I have heard of the trees but never seen them 😔 but really hope I can return and get seeds to 😂
