As a Brit, i am so thankful my old man bought us up watching this and Cheers in the 90's , absolute classics. Its even funnier now i'm an adult , they don't make comedy like they used to that's for sure.

Absolutely hilarious and that was without a single scene with Al in it who is usually the catalyst for the humor. This and the Cosby show although opposite ends of the spectrum are the best examples of American families I've ever seen on American television.

@@marissasue319 Yes, wild ones, at least. Farm turkeys, I'd guess not. Hank is a wild turkey. Growing up, we had woods where flocks of wild turkeys would hang out in trees, and harass people & pets. They are very aggressive and annoying, and I don't mind cooking & eating them ONE BIT!

However, they are very large birds and I think the comedy is based around them being quite bottom heavy. I dont think they fly when suddenly dropped from the air. They need quite a lot of room and focus to get airborne.

Between how they cull chicks and the no-nonsense way the professor once snapped the necks of 2 chickens and then cut them open immediately afterwards to show off some of the internal anatomy I think it's poultry raisers in general have that kind of attitude.
The writers to the show were genius .
The last season's writers were not as good.
