I like this pattern, but I'll probably substitute something like marabou for the tail, just to increase hooking potential given the size of the average bluegill's mouth that I tend to run into. Nice pattern.

I always have issues with my gurglers landing hook point up with the foam down. Anyone have pointers to avoid this? I have tried different hooks, types and amounts of foam , and methods of tying and I always seems to have this problem.

I have found that a good heavy hook will usually turn them over just fine.
