Great review. Amazing Sw pickup on this little guy. Your reviews never disappoint.

I’ve looked at this one for a while, but low priority. So, glad you’re doing the review.
As for the religious (preaching) , Hey, it’s possible someone might need to hear what they are saying, and you just may be the vehicle God chooses to use to deliver the message 😁.
As for the weather station, I wonder if it is by design, or just a regional thing.
The case looks like the WRX-911, only with a digital readout.
    Great review (as usual)
    📻🙂

You know what I'm into and want to hear more about? Quality. Build quality. Tactility. Ingenuity. Signals are just a small part of the recipe for the pies that I like. For me it's about the human interaction with the radio. I'm spinning dials, flipping switches and twisting knobs as much as I'm listening, if not more. I'm aching in my gut for some serious quality product. Heavy steel dials that you can roulette-spin to skip to the other end of the band. Remember those? A distinct click at the beginning of a wheel's circuit. A rich amber light that casts it's illuminating warmth evenly across the entire dial. Glowing signal meters bouncing around with the signal! I desire that physical, visual, and audible feedback. Toggle switches? Yes please!
*sigh* It's to the point where I'm about to build one or commission one. Any ideas?

Buy the classics :) Not going to happen with new stuff. The C.Crane company wants to build a radio that is entirely made in the USA with all USA components, I hope they succeed.

I love the price and performance that comes with a Tecsun radio . I wish the sound quality was better.

The 920C is slightly better in the speaker audio category.

I think that the radio has a Silicon Labs DSP radio chip inside. i.e SI4734 chip.

Do you keep the boxes pf the radios in case you can return them if defetive.

I know I do. I have never needed to return a radio personally. Also, it's good to keep the box if you sell the radio. Just my two cents...

I keep all the boxes. As a collector I like to have them.

      XE Radio DX 540
I do keep the boxes on anything over $40.oo,
And any of my vintage radios as well.
On the cheaper radios, I generally dump them after the warranty expires, unless it’s an unusual radio.

Are you aware of any radios that go up to 138 MHz and can do FM?

The little HanRongDa HRD-737 can. It also has a VHF-Wide and VHF-Narrow mode. ua-cam.com/video/2DSfCNgzJ28/v-deo.html
