Adaşım, a very nice representation of our dishes and culture. Allāhumma Bārik. May Allah accept your good deeds in this holy month.
Blue Mosque wasn't designed by Sinan the architect rather his student but because they lived in same era it is often confused!! Sedefkar was an Albanian who migrated into Ottoman in 1562 and worked as a garden watcher for a year. Then he learned and kept playing saz for almost a decade until he became a student of Sinan the architect in 1570. Sedefkar remained as a student of Sinan for 18 years until his teacher died in 1588. Then he started traveling half of the world as an Ottoman official from Arabia to Crimea and Spain, also became an Ottoman governer for a year until he returned Istanbul in 1598 and became a water architect responsible of water supply network. It was 1606 when Sedefkar finally became a chief architect and started designing Blue mosque that it's construction began in 1609. So Sedefkar had Albanian origin but he was an Ottoman architect without any question as he learned everything he knew in Ottoman, rising from being a garden watcher to a chief architect in 44 years!! And this great life story shows us how little Ottoman cared about ethnic origin unlike many empires of the time and it is still same in Turkey that racism problem pretty much doesn't exist as it is not skin colour rather good faith which matters...
I don't really fancy blue in colour but after visiting Turkey i fell in lov with turkish blue😁 Still wishing to visit Istanbul✌🏼

Kebab is also the Same , Makloba is also the same , And shockingly A LOT of the dishes have been renamed and claimed by turks during the ottoman Rule , All love to turkey but this is just a fun Fact.
