What Matt didn’t mention, is that when he bought the commercial property which Ed was living on, he was advised to just evict the old man. Matt refused, and Ed has become a part of Matt’s family… Matt and the whole MORR gang (and even the fans) are very special people…
@@MattsOffRoadRecovery Matt, it is awesome that you didn't take someone else's word for the character of a man and chose to see for yourself. You ended up with a great friend out of it, and all of us benefited from that in the end. Your channel would not be the same without Ed.
@@MattsOffRoadRecoveryAs Earnest Hemingway said, The only way you can tell if you can trust a man, is to trust him”. We all love Ed!
True that 👍👍👍👍💕
Having seen so many videos where Matt treats the customers, his family and his team, this sound just like Matt thing. One in a million.
That's Matt's style; not taking anyone's opinion at face value. Keeping Ed safe and sound is just a thing Matt would do!
A common refrain can be heard throughout this tale: "Ed was right/We should've listened to Ed."
Hard won experience from a life of bad decisions, or he learned to pay attention to the people that got wisdom the hard way.
Seems like a t-shirt idea to me
@@shaunnab1850 Seems like a good idea to me.
Thanks guys
@@Laugh1ngboy Ed seems like the person that not only learnt from his own mistakes but by others as well
Every bit of the golden nugget build was awesome I love being able to help Ed by giving back to him thru the golden nugget build !! I will be anxiously awaiting the next build!!!!
Go to bed bro 😂
👍
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 shout out to @ Robby Layton for he’s hard work, people don’t understand that regular work and being a vloger on UA-cam it’s hard work and takes time to get everything done plus , if you want quality work it would take time to get it right the first time me as a business owner and a vloger its pretty harsh at points but big thank you and respect to Robby Layton man 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
All of you guys & gals are awesome! Love watching both channels.
Mad props to Robby Layton and his crew. Really made my weekends looking for your videos. Please do my 72 Malibu one day. My best friend was painting it, a car painter, he had a stroke at his work, and I miss seeing his smile. It needs finished for Dennis.
1- I never noticed the pumpkin during the recovery.
2- Ed splits wood like a 30 yo, I’m amazed he has that explosive energy. He is so docile and meticulous in every motion but don’t let that fool you
I saw the pumpkin during recovery, just started watching with this series! PLEASE tell me why there are inconspicuous pumpkins in each video.😊
... so I bought a towing company and the yard came with Ed ... The rest is history.
The best part is they merged so well. It's like Ed looked at them and thought "looks like I've got a couple of more kids now" and Matt looked at Ed and thought " looks like It came with an old coot; wonder if he knows any good storys" and life just continued on.
🤣💀🤣💀🤣
Such a great thing
Very sweet line. Thank you for sharing all of this. May Ed and the Golden Nugget live on!
One of the best shows on UA-cam.👍
Matt, nobody that watches Scotty Kilmer waving hands in the wind on every word even notices your fidgeting.
😂 true
If you try to follow Scotty's hands, you'll need to go to the Optometrist to get your eyeballs untangled.
@@outlawbillionairez9780 😂😂😂😂
I've seen Scotty and with his arm flailing, he comes off like a baboon with his half talking loud, half shouting as if stone deaf and all that. He does not impress. Matt's flailing is a lot more dignified and he talks in a normal voice so I have no issues with it, and to be honest, most of the time, I don't notice it as much.
I remember Scott when he was in Houston. Reconnected though YT vids
Ed is an old man with an old perfect soul. What you, all of you did for him is unmatched as far as I'm concerned. We love ya Ed!
What you gentlemen did for ED is a very commendable thing, I congratulate you and thank you
I have exactly the same hearing issues as Ed, and I am so impressed with your thoughtfulness and appreciation of how he is affected by lots of voices. It was touching to see the love you put into the reveal process.
@David Daw I am too, almost 67 old body, I can 't stand these videos in which the person is narrating and the back-ground music makes it so difficult for me to hear. I know 15 ~ 20 years ago this was no issue for me. It slowly got worse.... YT creators if made aware might change it, as they too may get old....
My 84 year old mother has the same level of hearing issues so I totally understand the care you took to make it a quite spot for the reveal! Thanks for sharing it with us 😊
I also have those problems plus high pitch tinnitus.
That's the reason I am a 'head-phone' U-Tuber; so I can hear the dialogue. And Matt (and others); thanks for sharing these epic stories with me and the rest of us.
What? Speak up!
The fact that Ed could still hike in and out of there for the recovery is a testament to the man’s stamina.
While burnin' a heater ...
I think that for most of the way through, Ed was riding in the Banana. I'm pretty sure he would get out right before some sketchy parts of the trail and when it was fine he would ride again. They also had to take it slow because they were road building to get to the LJ20, so I'm sure that there was always someone able to take the time to momentarily make sure Ed was fine since he strikes me as the type of guy that would rather push himself to continue than complain for any reason. I don't want to downplay the fact that Ed is defenitely an absolute badass for being there every step of the recovery, but I'm certain that his friends must have taken good care of him the whole way through out of concern for his age.
And splittin' firewood to boot‼️
@@scottvadon2095 😆 thanks bub I needed that laugh today
😁
Hearing all the behind the scenes story is amazing. Seeing Ed's response at the reveal was the best. Ed isn't a person who shows a lot of emotion normally. His smiling and actions and talking at the reveal showed him as excited as he gets. What a special moment and wonderful gesture from all of you. All of you (everyone who had a role) really outdid yourselves. Way to go!!!
A towing yard purchase with Ed as a tag on was a win win for Ed and MOOR 💕👍😊
Was great to see Chads Fab get some good credit in this vid. I still say he is the unsung hero of the nugget. The nugget is one of a kind, and will never be duplicated.
I agree 💯☺️👍.
Wiring was the biggest part of insuring that the Nugget didn't leave Ed in the bush with a breakdown
And it also took time for Paul to source, ship, and wait on parts especially with the supply/demand rodeo, and if he couldn’t find any parts he had to engineer it himself. HUGE team effort to all involved and what a good hearted gift to Ed. We need more people on the earth like Team Morre.
I honestly love the most, that you guys have memorized all of Ed's stories, and through his amazing truthfulness have discovered all the beauty of the old world.
The kids have a lot to learn.
Is this the real clint eastwood?
@@FlawlezzMAXX 🤣🤣😂
One thing comes to mind . Everybody loves Ed .
I’m in the uk and I can see he commands respect .
I think he’s a great old fella .
We can only guess the amount of cool stories he’s got tucked away in there .
I’ve had so much enjoyment from this series . From the recovery alll the way to the reveal .
You are a great bunch of guys n gals who we can all see love Ed .
Thank you so much for sharing with us all .
Kind regards from the uk . Mart
I'll say it again; everyone involved in this project has restored and boosted my faith in humanity! Thanks to all who shared the journey with all of us watching!!
The SMILE on Ed's face said it all. Everyone involved did an outstanding job for one amazing man. The amount of effort and time spent amazes me, if only we all could come together like you folks did it would be a better world. Thank you all.
It is so nice that you know Ed so well that you did the reveal in a quiet comfortable setting for him. I can't hear people when there is too much background noise and so I am not comfortable with a lot of people around. So I can really relate. I think you pulled it off perfectly.
Ed reminds me so much of my own father. He doesn't want anyone going out of their way for him, but he appreciates the things people do.
I have been wearing hearing aids for almost thirty years and I can tell you it’s impossible to understand anyone when more than one person is talking. The fact you all took turns in speaking with Ed at the reveal shows just how much respect and love you all have for him. What a great job you all did on the LJ20 and the Rokon. Impressive work in such a short amount of time. Congrats to you all.
The worse your hearing is, the harder it is to hear anything when there's background noise. I wish I'd looked after mine better when I was young!
I was born needing hearing aids. Growing up with hearing aids, it was weird. I couldn't just run out into the rain at school or just jump into a lake. I grew up having to plan around weather and if i needed to bring extra supplies. I could tell which of my friends cared more about me by how they talked in a group.
@@davidwilems8915 - Makes me appreciate what I have leftover to my audible life. I love ❤️ beautiful music to my ears.
What?
Im in my 30s and have the same trouble differentiating sounds. Need to be one on one or small groups. Totally get it.
The look on Ed’s face made it all worthwhile. That much love and friendship for Ed shows what can be done when people work together!
I stumbled across you guys about 2 years ago (ish) when I wanted something different to watch during the pandemic. I just LOVE how you can be a good, honest, hardworking, and kind person, and that you make awesome content that is SO FULL of VARIETY! Nature, scenery, off roading, recoveries, community events, charity causes, builds, awesome vehicles and machinery, and you included all your friends to boot (you could have been greedy and kept this for yourself - but you shared the wealth).
And ALL of this is made possible through the AWESOME PEOPLE you've introduced us to.
Here's a cheers to you and the Crew, Matt!🍺
I love the fact that you treat Ed as if he’s family… in a way, he’s family to all the people watching this!
At 2:02, Matt says "Sorry, I know this is super boring." Uh, no. All of it has been fascinating and a great adventure from a distance for all of us in UA-cam land. THANK YOU for letting us in on this whole adventure!
Thought the same thing. No way this was boring. Loved every minute.
The life of editing, bad audio, and searching for clips, so true. Glad to know I am not the only one that has those problems.
The audio was making me dizzy!
I loved watching this get built for Ed. I love hearing him tell his stories. I think in a way he reminds me of my grandfather. So I was happy to see this get done for him. I'm glad he is enjoying it now. I think it is super cool that you all went so out of your way to do it for him. Frankly that is why I like watching people like all those involved. Because helping people when you can is really a cool thing. Watching people who care about others is a lot of fun for me. Plus I like fixing old junk. LOL So it is pretty interesting seeing the process it takes. I know it was not easy to get it done in that amount of time.
Every single one of you involved are amazing people. It means the world to us that you respect and care so much about Ed to make this a perfect experience for him, not just for the content!!! Cheers Ed and get the nugget back to the claim, hopefully she'll be your lucky charm
Love how even in his 80s Edd's there chopping wood like he's half his age
All the spouses as a group need an honorable mention as the glue that helped make Ed's series come together. Some are editors that make what we see make sense. All are tremendous partners pitching in for the cause.
And on that note, I’d like to express how awful I felt for Paul, Michelle and the FabRats gang having the unfortunate delay arriving on time, both the sadness involved because an ‘accident’ occurred and because they missed Edds face when all the pieces came together. Yalls masterful execution of piecing together a puzzle of thousands of parts, many unforeseen issues and committing an apparently endless amount of love for Edd, the man and the legend; even restoring the contents of his library. God bless you one and all.
What a GREAT story and a GREAT surprise for a GREAT MAN .Ed reminds me of my grandfather so much but when he starts telling me a story back when he was living he would start off telling it then he would maybe go into two or three other stores then he would get back into the story he had started telling. He was a very smart man and had it seemed like he thousands of old stories to tell about all kinds of different things he had went through in his life . I would love to just sit down with Ed to just lesson to his old stories. People can learn so much from other people. Matt THANKS you and EVERYONE for taking us along on this trip with you all . THANKS
This whole project was so fun to watch and Ed's reaction was perfectly Ed! Thanks for sharing the whole process. Congrats to you, Matt, and the dozens of people who came together to make this possible. The best part about is all the thought and concern for Ed throughout the whole project; everyone wanting to do a great job speaks volumes about the kind of person Ed must be in real life. Life is at it's best when we are in service of others, and this whole project is just that.
I love the Nugget "extraction". That has to be one of the toughest "go get it" on UA-cam. And the wrap up where you describe some of the behind the scenes stuff is riveting! What a cool thing to do. I like that you respected the miners privacy and what they allowed and didn't allow. Some people don't understand that there are those who don't want people around them or their property. Bless you all!
That Nugget retrieval was epic! Lizzie's a trooper, and does what she's asked with damn little complaint. Eric griping about being a big guy crammed into a small rig was a hoot. The smile on Ed's face at the reveal made it all worth it! Everybody involved worked so hard to keep it secret, and a few lies told to the same end, but golly, the whole saga was just fun to follow. Thank you!
I just cannot get my head around what this would have cost in parts, labour, paint, and everything involved had anyone counted it as a cost. This was a labour of love poured out to a sweet old man.
Excellent.
I have severe central hearing deficit ( I’m essentially deaf when I’m in a crowd) so it is extremely kind and compassionate that you arranged people to approach him in small groups. I wish that kind of compassion were more common.
Every single one of you rock! Everything from the project was so well done and presented. Ed is a staple of the channel in my opinion, and it was awesome to see everyone celebrating that with the Golden Nugget.
I love the commitment, respect and loving spirit you showed Ed. Thank you for sharing. Ed looks 20 years younger and what a lovely smile.
I think the Nugget is the source of his power. Nugget recovered and at 33:04 he’s ripping’ through wood like a teenager.
That smile....
After too many hours in the engine room of the tugboat, my hearing is shot too. So, I understand how difficult it is for Ed with his poor hearing and I think it’s super thoughtful of you to recognize that.
Yep..I was a Central plant engineer, for 10 years , my hearing is shot 🌵🖐️
I cant hear well ... can't hear some audio on this video
I know that feeling 10 years as a Deckaneer, deckhand, unlicensed engineer, before I made Captain, me ears still ring and Sqeal, and a bunch of tone deaf!
All you good folk at MORR have done a wonderful thing, full credit to Robby and Paul also plus everyone else involved, you've achieved a tremendous result for good old Ed and provided us all with hours of great entertainment. Top marks.
It's so awesome that y'all did this for Ed. I would enjoy to sit down on a porch and chat up a conversation with Ed on his adventures in the things he has done.
Got to visit these guys last week, they are all great guys, and I had a nice conversation with Tucker....he is so kind. Thanks for taking the time to say Hi back.
I'm a TOTAL LOSS expressing how MUCH I have enjoyed this posting! You guys and I'm speaking of EVERYONE who was involved in this project from the beginning are AWESOME! It would be a great pleasure meeting all of you someday.... It's on my bucket list! Thanks for sharing the back story!
What Dreemwever said. I have had the opportunity to meet some of the crew. They are fun in person.
The Golden Nugget is what got me into all 3 channels, the first video I saw of MOR was venturing to the nugget so you guys could start recovering it. Ever since then I've been keeping up with all 3 channels and enjoying every bit of it! I do wish there was a version of MOR over here in Washington, but so far I haven't found anything. Thanks for all the hard work and great content!
Thank You! His heart is so happy 😀 Which makes all of our hearts happy!
Your love for him is contagious … And what’s not to love about our Ed? He’s a joy… Thank you again!… So precious!
I was at the shop for a visit on 7-27-22. Because Matt does so well raising his volume when speaking to Ed, I knew to speak up and when background noise came, I got close to Ed's ear. Every detail in this video that I could verify by my visit is true. The Nugget and Rokon are perfection. It is obvious that the Rokon engine is the original. You can see my post on their Facebook fan page. The post has gotten over 1400 reactions to date. The response is a great show of the love and respect MORR and associates have obtained. MORR and associates have nothing to do with the fan page and there is no sign that they even know what's been said about them there. And lastly, when you visit, you will see that they add to their busy schedule the time to show respect to each visitor.
As someone with combat ears and all the problems hearing that Ed has I want to extend my most sincere appreciation for your consideration of Ed during the reveal. What a terrific group of friends Ed has. A true blessing.
Lol 😆
This is such a great great story from start to finish!! I totally get the hearing thing...my dad is 94 and you pretty much described exactly what it's like talking to him! People need to have patience and compassion when dealing with our older generation. Y'all are the best! Well done 👏🏼
What struck me so dearly is the love and respect you all give to Ed. He’s very dear to you all and it’s so good to witness. I have enjoyed watching every video . My son turn me in to your channel. Thanks for sharing this amazing journey and may all be blessed for their kindness and love.
Thank you for the "behind the scenes" of this massive project! An incredible accomplishment by all involved to honor one cool dude, Ed!
RESCUE CREW - “whew, tired, let’s eat and sleep”
ED - “this wood ain’t gonna chop itself”
Priceless.
A HUGE shout out to Matt and ALL the teams for doing this. As we mature (get old) our lives are more memories than actual doing. I can tell you that you extended the life of an old man. He is in his glory not only by having the LJ20 & Rokon but this revives all the memories at the mine the rock slide etc. GREAT JOB and everyone should be very proud of your investment in this project. It's one for the ages! !! !!!
All that took part in this rebuild should be praised and blessed forever for the time and extreme love you showed for Ed.
His reaction to the reveal was just amazing. We all hope that Ed will get great fun with his rebuilt toys.
I would love more long form stories like this from MORR. Like how you came to get the Corvair or how recovery became your job, where you developed your handy skill etc... Awesome stuff.
In an earlier episode, Matt does kind of explain how he found the Corvair station wagon and it was sometime in the past year. Go to this list of videos and you should find it there.
@@georgevinson612 Yes that is true, but as I said, he does talk about how he found it though, I think last year, and that can be found in the video that was uploaded if the OP cares to do a bit of digging.
Corvair story has been told a couple times in previous videos
Corvair story has been told a couple times in previous videos
The Corvair was in the same spot as it was when Matt saw it as a kid. Matt was a roofer before doing the recovery I think he was partners with Lizzy Dad or uncle. It's in a few videos about it but nothing long.
I saw the whole series and thought it was just amazing seeing everyone pitch in - yall rock including the people that donated parts for Ed. HUGE KUDOS to all of you. I am going to miss this series.

Alright, here’s the situation…if Lizzy isn’t represented I’m not watching. Yup
No, YOU guys are awesome! Brings tears to my eyes thinking about Ed and how much you all care for him. You are all the type of people we wish to meet and be friends with. That's why we are here. Bless you all and keep paying it forward. :)
What a great bunch of friends you guys are to give up your personal life an sleep for Ed. We the UA-cam audience can feel your love for this man.
This has been the best journey I’ve ever seen on UA-cam. Was so good to see how Ed responded and shows off the finished product. Everyone that worked on this rig should be proud
Excellent job you guys. The whole crew was amazing. Hats off to all the wives, girlfriends, kids and other assorted folks that had to deal with the long hours and time away from family as well. Just a job outstandingly well done.
This has been such a wonderful journey watching the Golden Nugget and Rokon being rebuilt. The insight and back stories from this video is almost like time traveling 5 years into the future for a reunion episode minus an appearance by Ed. I did see the pumpkin in one of the episodes, but after hearing about it and you saying 'Easter Egg' I know understand what you, Robby Layton, and Fab Rats were referring to when the term 'Easter Egg' was used. Again, this has been a wonderful journey, thanks for sharing and looking forward to the 'Lost Mine' series.
As an old timer myself I can appreciate and rejoice in the love and care you guys have given Ed. Not sure if he has any family but he sure does belong with the Matt's Off Road Recovery crew. God bless you all.
I watched all 53 mins. My takeaway: An older man renting space from a towing company and the company gets bought out. 999 times out of a 1000 he's about to get evicted. How lucky he is to have fallen in with wonderful people like all of you! What a great story! Bless you all! :)
What's he doing living in a towing company former office/trailer?
In fact, Matt commented that he was told Ed was a drunk and a thief. After meeting Ed, he asked if there was someone else living there that he hadn't met yet
One of the reasons I like this channel is just how respectful you all are to Ed. It is obvious that the man is a treasure, but he is slowing down and has hearing problems. But he is part of the team and the family. It really shows your heart.
You all are amazing to do something so special for a man like Ed. He’s got to be like a dad ,grandpa and most of all a BEST FRIEND to you all. Thanks for sharing this with us. Even though we carefully followed along. What a beautiful journey. If you didn’t follow along it would be hard to believe this was done in such a short time. God Bless .
Thank you for taking us along on the big adventure, and explaining everything that happened. Glad nobody got injured on the trip. Hope Ed gets many good miles with his toys!
You guys are great story tellers -- especially with your editor's help. The way you pick up each other's sentences. Only friends for life can do that. So much fun!
Been a groupie for a few years now. Your videos never fail to entertain and educate. You guys out did yourselves on this one. What a wonderful story. I live at the base of the High Sierra (Mt Whitney is in my county) so I can relate to the difficulty you experienced. Cant wait for the Lost Gold Mine video.
My husband and I just watched this recap of the rescue trip of the Golden Nugget and loved it!! We live in Grass Valley and know the tiny town of Washington. It’s so fun to know you were here so close but darn we wish we could have come across you while you were here. We believe you were very close to our sons property. Anyway if you come again to look for the Mine let us know if you need any help making arrangements or questions about the area or anything. We’d love to help! We love living in the gold country and would love to show you around. Love your channel and your rope! Kim and Nancy Miller
Ed’s energy makes me miss both of my Grandads so much.. I got so emotional when he finally got his Golden Nugget. He deserves it!!
I TRULY enjoy your UA-cam productions and look forward to Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The kindness and love you show to Ed is priceless and he is SO lucky to have you and the MORR staff as part of his life. Ed is a treasure and fully deserves every kindness you put forth. I would love to meet all of you in person someday. The world needs more people like you and your staff.
I can say that this was one of the best things I have seen a group of people do for an individual in their community. We the viewers can see the joy that all of you have from doing this for Ed. Seeing the look of surprise when he saw the Golden Nugget and Rokkon together was worth every second of the time and labor that you all put into it.
This is so great, thank you for caring about Ed and investing your time to make him so joyful!! Also, appreciate this and all your videos, I was smiling the whole way through! Keep it up and wishing you all the best from Idaho.
The only thing I can say is you all did a great job on recovery and keeping everything secret from Ed. Really shows how caring you all are. That’s the reason I and thousands of viewers love your videos, and we are all waiting on the next!! Thank you all.🙏👌🇺🇸😊
Not super boring! This was background information on a great story we've been thoroughly invested in. Thank you!
Ed reminds me of a gentleman I met at my first body shop job. He was a friend of my boss, and came to the shop every day just to hang around, help out with driving cars, and he had a pretty fascinating life himself. I would love to meet Ed and hear some of his stories....
Y’all are amazing! Your heart, your perseverance, your enthusiasm, your commitment to do things right, your willingness to share with all of us. Thank you.
Thank you Matt. I just can't get enough of your videos but this one with the story of Ed, damn made my eyes go blurry. You guys, you got the hearts of gold. Wishing this adventure never ends.
What a great story! From one that has hearing problems I so get it and appreciate the patience you have for Ed. This was such a expression of love!
Can’t wait for the next story on the Golden Nugget
This was a great series to watch from the beginning. Watching Ed's reaction to the ending was wonderful. The Golden Nugget, the Rocon and trailer turned out great. Your love for Ed is amazing.
Thanks for the behind the scenes full story. Loved every minute of all the related videos from you, Paul, and Robby❣️Terrific to see the friendships and the love and respect for Ed you all have.
Strangely this was one of my favorite morr vids. Love the breakdowns, the real/raw portion of everything. The golden nugget introduced me to Paul and fabrats, Robby, and many more who I now follow all their videos. Thanks MORR!
This is exactly the video we needed for this. Thank you for taking the time to put it together.
I'm just like Ed. And I want to say thank you for having patience with him. It's concerning, how many people nowadays either are too wrapped up in their own world, to realize that you legitimately cannot understand what they are saying, or they act like you eat babies, because you want them to repeat what they said. Especially the ones who 'repeat' themselves exactly the same the second, third and fifth time, And get more upset every time, that you still didn't understand them. Or just get even worse every time because they are so put out that they have to repeat themselves...
Wait for the headphone generation who turned up the volume to listen to music. Not a rock concert person who plugged in... But my daughter's generation who used Bluetooth....They'll understand, 😊
Factory work has left me with avoiding external noise and making other people uncomfortable because my hyper concentration of their mouth. Also the pause while I puzzle together what sounds I did hear into what was said.
I completely understand where Ed is coming from.
@@AroundNJ Uh, would you repeat what you just said...again.. once more... Right(and give a thumbs up) as still didn't understand
Thanks for the behind the scenes look. I've been watching this project across all three channels every step of the way and have really enjoyed it. Everyone involved did an amazing job. Ed's got himself some awesome friends!
I can’t tell y’all how many times I got choked up watching all the UA-camrs working on this project. All working together with one goal in mind… to make an old man happy. Well, it made this old man happy too!
This old lady, too ❤️🙏❤️
It's Craig again Ed is like my Pepa the same person, thank u thank u this viedo was another Best. Love to hear the back stories. The personal things about the recovery, the revile , and God bless all who were involved in this 🙏 ♥️
Love your shows, Thank You for finally showing the reason you saved the Golden Nugget. I was getting to the point of being sick of the Golden Nugget. Now I can understand. I too have been in such experiences. I found a Water Buffalo Three Cylinder Suzuki Motorcycle that had been left in the woods for I would say several years. Being like most people who love challenges I had to figure a way to get that bike back to my trailer. I built a small two wheel trailer and three of us went in towing it behind a Honda and towed it back with one man walking and making the bike stable. That Bike was in great shape and I drove it several years, I had it running in two days. I apologize for my negativity. Being 83, we forget sometimes things.
I watched the whole build, I am glad you put this video together for some of the behind scenes and some more new stories for us to enjoy from start to finish. We just saw a small portion of this build but it began when you met Ed years ago, he has a real genuine personality and unique in his own way which makes him a fan favorite.
What a great story. Ed is blessed to have such a great group of people around him - and you all are blessed to have Ed in your life.
Love how every part of the story has "We should have listened to Ed". People tend to ignore the wisdom of older people who have lived through things =)
Totally worth the wait you’re the best group of friends anyone could wish for and thank everyone for sharing this experience I’ll stay with you all !
Ed's such a great person and he deserved that to be intimate. The smiles and jokes just made it so worth it for you guys im sure.
I appreciate your thoughtfulness toward Ed. You know his age, his life experiences, and so forth.
I am deaf in one ear, so it really depends where you are, how close you are, is there any background noise, etc.
I may hear you clearly. I might hear something like static on a radio. I might not even know that you spoke. It is not unusual for me to say (to someone nearby) "I heard you speak, but I don't know what you said." In THIS regard, as well, your thoughtfulness towards Ed, was (and is) "above and beyond."
The 76 year old man that changed my life I had such a hard time getting through to him till I knew him. He just couldn't hear me.I cornered him in a room in a cabin he built while I was a mechanic doing landscaping for 10 bucks an hour. I told him me and you are going to be best friends. Now 6 years later I am 35 and my best friends is a 76 year old named John. .He has taught me so much and I am greatful I can teach him stuff he doesn't know. I love you guys
This looks like the ULTIMATE off road recovery in your lifetime! How exciting. Your stories are fantastic. This is what makes life worth living is people like you and ED. Ed's life could be a story, or even a movie. I love this channel and love to hear and see more cool adventures.
I'm an old bloke and I had tears running down my cheeks when Ed suddenly realised it was his jeep! That was such a good commentary...loved it!
The amount of hard work everyone put in after hours, weekends to do this for Ed was truly fantastic. Hats off to you all. Thanks for sharing all the videos from the people involved in this project. Making UA-cam videos, editing etc.. really is a ton of work. Always enjoy watching the videos from Matt’s Off Road Recovery,Fab Rats,Robby Layton,Bleeping Jeep, Trail Mater, Chads Fab,Bikes and Beards,Mischief Maker,Rudy’s Adventures and more I may have forgotten that are all involved in part with this Chanel.
