I have a 8.1 liter big block in my wide body c3 4 speed manual and I smoked a 458 Ferrari. I make 640 foot pounds of torque at 4,000 RPM and over 500 foot pounds below 2,000 I also got 4.11 gears in the back. It moves for sure
I’m sorry but where are these guys getting these numbers from? Not saying it’s the same thing but I had someone tell me doing an LS swap was going to cost me 10-15k to do the swap when I ended up only spending 2500$. I only needed 1500$ to get it running and driving. Not sure if content creators are meaning with labor but if not these numbers are completely false. Depending on where you are you can go to the junk yard and pull a hemi with everything (where I’m at) for about 1500$ max. So for those of y’all that want to do this just know it’s not as expensive as you think just know the parts you need and do research ahead of time.

I have a question for you GURU I’m in the process of buying a 6.1L Hemi I want to drop it in my 08 Chrysler 300. Can you recommend a bare block for a 6.1L hemi that can handle boost?! I want to rebuild my car for performance but want to make sure I don’t blow the new motor. I want to know before hand where or what block is compatible with the 6.1L V8 so that I can run boost safely without blowing the motor.
Thoughts on the new GM 6.6 L8T(?) from the HS trucks? Kind of a new big block LS I'd like to see it in maybe a A body Cutlass/GS/Chevelle
As an NA Miata owner I can confirm that power ain't everything. I have long tube headers, exhaust, suspension and tires and have more fun in this thing than any other car I've driven. That includes a 600 hp Supra and an LS swapped 77 Vette with a 3 speed manual. The Vette is close but I run my Miata hard everywhere (responsibly) and don't get in trouble
