9 years of hard fishing use on my Vapor 10. Everything from a creek you could jump across to a large tributary of the Mississippi, farm ponds to large whitecapped lakes. Only thing I've done to kayak is add the backrest pad cushion from the angler model. Bottom is scratched pretty good from some rocky rivers- best $399 I ever spent!
@@teamflanneloutdoors5631 that’s awesome! Sounds like you’ve gotten some good use out of your vapor 10! Yeah that was the only other thing I noticed, I thought the seat could’ve been a little more comfortable
@@MountainsRiverSea I posted a link to oak orchard canoe below. Thinking I might upgrade my seat this winter and get some more enjoyment from it as the Vapor12 I’d like to have is so much more expensive these days.
we got one used for my wife for $125 we will only be doing flat water in lakes. It does not have the drain plug in front or the bung straps for the paddle holder. Where did you get the short cock pit cover for it?
@@billbaker4970 hope y’all enjoy it! You got a good price on it too! Wow. The “splash deck” half skirt is made by Seals sprayskirts… I have a video review about it too
@@billbaker4970 also if you hit the “…more” button just below the title of this video, the info box will open up and I have a link to the Seals website and how to get the right size
I've never kayaked a kayak that doesn't "drift" lol I guess I don't know what I'm missing if there are kayaks that don't go to one side when you stop paddlin'.
@@ChristelVinot I know what you mean lol but some kayaks are worse than others with this… most sea kayaks / touring kayaks don’t veer like that but most rec kayaks probably do

Nice informative video, I would e curious what the XT has over the standard Vapor 10. Is it just the hatch in the rear?
@@johnsini4579 yes, from my understanding the main difference is the rear hatch
